THIEF: Part 1

Rate this book
I know my first day of community service isn’t exactly going to be a blast. At least I’m used to feeling out of place – I can take the insults that the teenaged volunteers at the special needs ranch throw my way, and emptying trash cans and shoveling horse manure seems pretty simple. I can even deal with the sweltering heat and the cut I get when I fall onto a shovel in the stables.

But I certainly don’t expect… Silas .

Silas, whose shirt might as well be painted onto his well-built body, whose square jaw and hazel eyes have already made up for my day, who helps me wash out my cut – who tells me he thinks I’m beautiful, when I’m sweaty and covered in dirt and manure.

He finds out right away that I’m a thief. He doesn’t care. And I love that he doesn’t care.

If only that were my biggest secret…or his.

I liked the female character, Erin, very much.
The chemistry between her and Silas was not quite convincing. It was barely there :(
I read Part 2 and Part 3. I still don't feel their "love".

But apart from that, the story was quite predictable yet twisted.

I don't know what it is about this book but I couldn't help but continue reading! The language and writing style was very fine.

The cliffhanger from part 3 is killing me! I really need to know what happens next!

This was an OK start to a serial, as each book is around 70 pages. It was not a bad story, but for someone with such intense feelings for her boyfriend, I didn't feel it. Erin herself is quite a good character, but the whole story kind of fell flat, so what is it that wants me to move on and read more?

This is my first book by Kimberly Malone and it wont be my last. This book held my interest through out the whole story. This story is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
