SHIFT: Twenty Women Share Stories of Strength, Courage, and Succeeding Against the Odds, presented by Senior Producer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show and best selling author Nikki Woods, is an anthology celebrating pivotal moments in the lives of a masterful mix of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, executives, and more.
Nikki's "shift agents" write their truths using unfaltering honesty and compassion with each author bearing witness to the unbreakable, unshakable power of the determined human spirit.
Together they produced inspiring accounts of valor, faith, redemption and renewal that will touch and uplift the souls of readers.
No matter who you are or what circumstances you may find yourself in, the courage you need to rise above your own "impossible" and shift closer toward your greatness can be found within the pages of this book.

Got tired of the idealism, the sermons, and vague suggestions with few clear explanations as to what these women had accomplished. Good collection of motivational speeches, filled with platitudes, however, if that's what a reader is seeking.
Every story within this book is an inspiration. I received so many revelations about my own life that I'm in awe. I recommend this book to anyone in need of insight into their own lives with positive outcomes. You won't be disappointed.
These stories will warm your heart while encouraging you to continue working towards being the best you. The absolute best story I read was The Positive, Proactive Professional By Timamu Wilson. Wilson will prick your heart while educating your mind on how to pick yourself up and make it in the world. Thank you Nikki Woods for stepping out and compiling a book of survival stories for people striving hard to make a way in life.
While I did enjoy the inspirational/motivational aspects, perhaps 26 women were too many. Also, some of the stories were vague in that they skipped over significant parts of the woman's life and struggle. The author's story was the most intriguing and well versed; she should have helped the other women out with their narratives.
