Who speaks for the disappeared?

Britain is broken, the bank is empty. The streets have become a lawless wasteland. The police force, slashed to such small numbers struggle to maintain order. A new volunteer unit, the Civil Guard are set up to provide support. It causes friction and many of the old school police force detest working with the new unit.
One man stands tall though, Frank Wolf.

When the homeless and the forgotten start to disappear off the streets of Cardiff, journalist Florence Bird starts to ask questions. Then she vanishes.
Headless corpses then surface in a quiet suburb of the capital, all on the same street. Freezing Hill lane.
DCI Harry Fullerton with his protégé DS Easter Perfect struggle to cope with the complex case. They call in Civil Guard DI, Frank Wolf.
One by one they peel off every layer of the case, and each time they are faced with unspeakable savagery.
Putting their lives on the line, they come across criminals who will stop at nothing to cling onto their greed. Casualties will be taken.
Not everyone is what they seem and DI Wolf trusts no one. Those who make it to the end of the case, may wish they hadn’t.
Life is never just black and white. It’s the grey areas that grab you by the ankles and pull you under.
Beware, you are now entering a dark place.

Good read!

I'm not much for detective novels so for me to say that I like this is a pretty big thing in my book. I enjoyed the fast paced action and the intrigue that was throughout the whole book have fun.

Strangely plotted, interesting but strange. Some foul language, hence the lower rating.
