When serious jeopardy strikes or hidden truths need to be uncovered, there is only one person to call.
Sasha has built a career on orchestrating the impossible, navigating the world’s most treacherous landscapes to untangle complex situations. As Director of Operational Security for the Ministry of Interior, she has been hired to identify vulnerabilities, stress-test defenses, and ensure the Andean Apex is an impenetrable vault on wheels.
The Andean Apex is a rolling fortress of breathtaking luxury. A sanctuary for the world’s most powerful elites, the ultra-exclusive train carves its way through the freezing, high-altitude peaks of the Peruvian Andes. The titans of industry drinking vintage champagne in the observation car are merely a distraction. The train’s true cargo is locked inside a custom titanium an extraordinary black-market collection of priceless pre-Columbian antiquities.
As the Apex ascends toward the majestic ruins of the Sacred Valley, Sasha discovers that the most lethal threats are already locked inside with her. Systematically decoding the passenger manifest, she uncovers a hidden agenda involving more than one of the elite ticket holders.
Commanding a high-altitude arena where everyone is a suspect and no one is who they claim to be, Sasha must dictate the terms of a rapidly deteriorating situation. With a panicked executive running for his life, highly trained operatives hiding in plain sight, and a fortune in ancient gold at the end of the line, she must untangle a web of razor-edge betrayals before the train reaches its destination.
The mountain terrain is notoriously unforgiving. But the conspirators operating in the shadows are about to discover that Sasha is far more dangerous.
High above the clouds, a flawless conspiracy was taking shape, completely unaware that control had just shifted to the one woman capable of tearing it all down.

It was an interesting read for sure, as mystery books usually are. It was relatively fast-paced, which I appreciate. There were quite a few twists at the end that were... a bit hard to believe, but it is fiction after all, so that's not too big of a deal. The cover seems AI generated and I can't tell what's up with the company/author, so that's not great. The very end was rushed, and it was jarring to spend half the book in one person's POV and then suddenly put of nowhere start switching POVs.
