talents of Greaves, Chivers, Peters, Hoddle, Ardiles, Gascoigne, Lineker and Ginola,
up to the present day. His narrative is sprinkled with reminiscences, stories,
anecdotes, statistics, observations and a few opinions – some of which are expressed
with telling candour – and seeks to offer the reader something of the flavour of what
it means to be a dedicated supporter.
