Supremacy of Wolves #1

Property of the Alpha

Rate this book
When Quinn, the Supreme Alpha of all the Nine Territories first sees a young man in the arena, he is struck by his beauty and by the fact that despite his chains, he’s barely contained. Quinn recognizes him almost at once as the human who led an assassination attempt on him just weeks before, yet when he tries to take him into custody, he’s shocked to find the human is his fated mate. He has only one option to keep the council from executing the young man for his crimes—to make an example of Aaron, and to debase and degrade him as his love slave so that none of Aaron's followers will celebrate him as a martyr or a hero.

Aaron is on a quest to find his brother, separated from him during the plague that devastated the population, killing seventy percent of all the humans on the planet. When he gets word that his brother is among the rebels, he joins them too, hoping to find him. Instead he gets caught up in a failed assassination attempt on the Supreme Alpha, a strong, powerful wolf shifter who now has Aaron right where he wants him--at his mercy.

Despite his growing attraction to Aaron, Quinn has to try to keep his heart from getting too involved, and when another assassination plot is uncovered, Quinn has to make a difficult decision. He must put Aaron aside despite his feelings for him and imprison him, even though the mating bond between them means Aaron will suffer and die without Quinn. And when Aaron disappears and word gets back to Quinn that he’s dying, he has to take a leap of faith to bring him home and back to Quinn's bed where he belongs.

Well, I finished, but it wasn't easy.

This book should come with a whole host of trigger warnings: slave fic, force body mods, BDSM practices used without consent to punishment and humiliate the submissive MC (whose not really all that submissive), rape, filming an MC when he's nude and unaware, and suicide as attention-seeking behaviour.

If any or all of these things are your kinks, you may very well enjoy this book.

However, I read shifter books for the growly possessiveness and the utter devotion to ones mate. The idea that there is someone out there that you would literally to anything to protect from the hurts of this world. So yes, Alpha Quinn was growly and possessive. And yes, he was devoted to his human mate, Aaron. But the humiliation and pain he took such pleasure in inflicting on Aaron throughout the book - even after he recognized him as his one true mate - was distasteful to me. And there were no declarations of love, only completely unsatisfying internal realizations.

Oh, and the story actually went there! I mean, I've seen people joke about things like this, but I've never actually seen it happen. West and Sue went whole hog and trotted out the old "you must have sex or the man you love will DIE! Only YOUR magical penis can save him!" story line.

*snortgiggle*

Oh, silly authors... :)

In the sample Aaron was rebellious and strong and managed to take down Quinn's second in command and could have broken his neck. The instant he's captured though he becomes a submissive who faints at the sight of needles and blood? Riiiiiiiight. Should have trusted my initial instincts on this one.

I thought this was going to be one of those "this is so bad it's amusing" kind of book. I was so very, very wrong. It's one of those "it's so bad it's TERRIBLE" kind of books. I cannot believe I read through this.

Character inconsistency, plotholes so big there's nothing that can fill that up, information is dropped at random, all characters are unlikable and underdeveloped. This was. so. very. bad.

Also, there were times when even the games would get swapped. There's this one instance where it's Quinn's POV and he's like "I want to get in the shower with Quinn", like no, he was thinking about Aaron. It was Quinn thinking about Aaron, not himself.
Also the laws in this universe are never really explained, how wolves work isn't explained either. NOTHING IS EXPLAINED.
Goddamn!

#Edit, Holy Shit i just noticed that this has sequels. Oh my God.

This started off wonderfully - I've enjoyed other Shannon West stories where there is a Master/Slave relationship. The back story, how things come to be, the insta mate - it was excellent and very hot! Aaron is a character who is doing things he doesn't want in order to find his brother. He's not a full on rebel - more a case of having to do something in order to get something without the idealism behind it. Quinn is the ultimate alpha. The ruler of it all. He was purported to be a hard wolf who rules as much by the hand as by the mind. Not that he was merciless - just that he didn't back down. I was SO into this world as we started. It's explained beautifully with some good building to let you "see" the locations in your mind.

However - I just cannot enjoy when an alpha male turns into a little puppy and basically gets emasculated into a whiny, lovestruck, female. I'm talking about Quinn. I was ok with Aaron changing into a more submissive role because he liked it ultimately - no problem and he was the stronger of the two IMHO. Yeah he lost his balls to some degree -- but I'm not sure how Alpha he was to begin with. Quinn though - to be an Alpha of all the territories? There *has* to be a hard, harsh element to him to rule. They are wolves - show some bite! Because of this the last 1/2 of the book went a bit south for me. I needed Quinn to maintain his alpha status. I mean he was a real pansy at times with Aaron - and if he wanted to show this "love slave" to the world as an example of humans being conquered then I expected some amount of wolf like wild dominance. It just wasn't there and thus I could not really believe Quinn was truly the Alpha of all Alpha's. The world was fascinating and the potential is there - but it just cannot fizzle out into this kind of (as one reviewer notes) "mooning" behavior. It's not attractive to me. I want an Alpha with BITE!

I'm a 1/4 of the way in and I already have so many issues I'm stopping.

First, the werewolves are SUPER sexist. The male main character comments on this so it might be that at some point it's 'explained', oth the werewolf alpha male who is regularly raping him seems to think it's funny that humans object to their females and males being separated (their females being considered no threat, unlike the rebels, who are all male, it's assumed by context).

Second, since it's a dual POV, we know almost from the beginning Aaron is not responsible for the crime he's accused of, but he never SAYS anything. Supposedly it's to keep his cover with the rebels, but now again, he's in private with the most powerful man in the country/area, who wants something FROM him. Aaron isn't even really a rebel or opposed to the wolves, just to submission in general, so it wouldn't betray any of his principles (and it might actually help him find the person he's looking for) to ask for Quinn's help. But maybe it goes back to the point that the guy is happy to enslave, force body modifications and rape him before he's even healed from those.

Third, Alpha Asshole insists he wouldn't force his slave to have sex with him. Instead he'll lick him, werewolf saliva proving an irresistible aphrodisiac (possibly just for that wolf's mate, not super clear). Now, drugging someone so they can't refuse to have sex with you IS RAPE. I do not object to noncon per se, and this fantasy so whatever, but I felt like this was somehow presented as a real moral justification and just, personally, weirded me out. Particularly because I thought the idea of two alpha guys pushing at each other was really hot, and Aaron is not an alpha guy by any standard.

Property of the Alpha is the first book in the Supremacy of Wolves series by Victoria Sue.

Quinn is the Supreme Alpha of all of the Nine Territories that make up North America. When he spots a young man in the arena, who led an attempt to kill him. While he had a plan for how he was going to treat Aaron, it all goes up in smoke when he finds out the man is him mate.

Aaron has joined a rebel group to find his brother who disappeared years ago. He will do anything to find him. While he was looking and trying to show them he belonged in the group, he tries to stay away from violence if he can. While he is implicated as the leader who tried to kill Quinn, he was set up.

The connection between Aaron and Quinn is intense. Both Quinn and Aaron don’t trust each other and don’t attempt in the beginning to get to know each other. Quinn is set on a path to make Aaron miserable and show him that he is in charge.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were enthralling. While the ending was a little predictable, there are so many twists and turns that keep the reader hooked. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very captivating book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

In this world, set in an undefined near future, humankind has been practically eradicated by some plague similar to the Black Death, referred to as Pestilence. Werewolves can’t get the sickness, and they are left to rebuild. Since they believe humans caused their own almost-extinction, and think that proved humans are too stupid to care for themselves, they have taken over. Humans are integrated into the pack structure and “retrained” – all except the rebels. Nice setting, right? Well, with a world like this and werewolves clearly so much stronger than humans, conflict is bound to arise and the fight for what resources are left will be fierce.

Really awesome read!! Love the stubborn Aaron and his slightly grumpy but hot as hell Alpha! The Tension between them is more than sexy and very strong, you can almost see the sparks flying between them. Loved their story and can't wait to read the next book.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

4.5 Stars

Property of the Alpha is the first book in the Supremacy of Wolves series by Shannon West and Victoria Sue and as such sets the scene for the world we are about to enter. The planet has been ravaged by a plague that has seen the death of the majority of humans, the few remaining are mainly rebels in a world now controlled by the wolves.

Quinn is the Alpha of the Nine Territories – meaning he is the big bad wolf in charge and although his reputation is of a harsh man who gets things done quickly he is quite liberal in his thinking and wants to bring back a harmony back between wolves and humans. When he spots a human near the fighting ring who he recognises as responsible for an assassination attempt against him weeks earlier he quickly makes plans for his capture and incarceration, that all goes to hell when he discovers the man is his mate.

Aaron has very personal reasons for joining the rebels and fighting against the wolves but through deception and pure bad luck he is now on the most wanted list. A man that faints at the mere sight of blood – the last thing he is is a killer but that’s just one misunderstanding that will need to be cleared up.

Their mating is no bed of roses. Quinn has to keep up a façade or he may be challenged for his position. As much as he wants to dote on his mate the exact opposite happens and although Aaron appears to be given no choice in what happens it ultimately keeps him alive and safe. Quinn is everything I like in an alpha wolf – possessive, growly and very macho but with a huge soft spot for his mate. Aaron may seem like he is put upon but he is very adept at wrapping his wolf around his finger and getting what he wants.

This is a great start in setting up a new series and I’m looking forward to see how it progresses.

Property of the Alpha by authors Shannon West and Victoria Sue is the start to the Supremacy of Wolves series. This futuristic tale has humans almost wiped out by their own treatment of the planet and the plague. They are now under the rules of werewolves. Quinn is the new alpha of the nine territories. He is a fair man. He is trying to fix what the previous alpha had done. He wants to treat humans fairly. He does see himself as a protector to them. After all they almost killed themselves out of existence how can they be trusted to actually make it through a day without a wolf’s help. He sees one of the leaders of the resistance in his arena. He knows he wants that one as his own. One he can make a proper example of so the others will never try to resist.
Aaron is a reluctant rebel. He mostly became one to find his brother Jamie. When he finds himself a prisoner his mouth and cocky attitude almost get him killed. When the alpha chooses him as his personal slave he fights it with everything inside him. But when he finds out he is the Alpha’s mate perhaps that is something he can use. He just didn’t count on really falling for Quinn.
There are many layers inside this story. There is also some dubious consent. I really liked the storyline and the overall feel of the story. I feel this is a great start to what promises to be a really intriguing new series. I cannot wait to find out what happens to Jamie. He so needs his story next!

I despise poor editing. found several times in this book.... alpha Quinn the big kahuna of the territories in a post plague US. this tries hard to have everything; mates, bdsm/alpha ,retraining of human who survived, resistance, piercings. truthfully I finished it despite my not liking the storyline... humans killed the planet and plague was result now wolves are topdog who now retrain humans in the way of the wolves.......wish that had been more in the storyline, but mainly its sex between alpha and his human mate/ pet. not much action, wanted to know more about the 30yr span of the plague and how resistance were formed. too much bdsm scenes for me to enjoy. writers could read some of Sean Michaels early work for pointers. no star given no recommendation either.

2.5/5 - This was just okay for me, it was extremely easy to read (only took me about an hour) but there were some parts that just odd and completely took me out of the story because I was too busy thinking ‘wtf?’. Better hopes for the next installment!

This plot does not not work for me... Normally.
Clever, funny, independent guy is taken hostage/captured by the 'enemy' and ends up becoming a love slave for the Alpha of the 'enemy'.
BUT Aaron and Quinn make it work. And I think it might be because Quinn is a werewolf/shifter, AND Aaron is his true mate, which means that Quinn can't 'really' hurt him (compared to other books with this plot).
Yes, there is humiliation and filming of an unaware MC, but with the POV of Quinn I didn't hate it as much as I should.
description

So Aaron (a rebel for the cause of the humans, after a virus destroyed most of the human population) is captured by the werewolves. Somehow he is captured, but NOT for the offence of blowing up a car, which he is wanted for. He ends up as a cleaner in the arena, where the 'worst' rebels are made to fight to the death (think 'Gladiator').
The humans DO have the opportunity for re-training as 'servers' (think slaves) for the werewolves, because the wolves have a hierarchy, and humans are WAY low in that pyramid.
This part of the book, made me cringe because Quinn never got better in his thinking. I hoped that Aaron would open Quinn's mind, as Quinn opened Aaron's mind in regards to submission. But the whole: 'humans are lesser beings'-thing, made me feel sympathetic to the rebels (but only briefly, they were really nasty.)

Quinn sees him in the arena, and recognizes his true mate, but is now in a conundrum. He cannot let him go since Aaron is a prisoner, and he cannot treat him as a true mate, since Quinn is the Supreme Alpha of all the Nine Territories and needs to set an example of the captured rebels. Therefore he comes up with the 'brilliant' plan of making him a love slave!
description

And this is where the 'cool' MC would normally be made a whimpering mess of hormones! And yes, there is attraction; Aaron fights his lust for Quinn. And yes; their first lovemaking came WAAAAAAY too fast, felt way too weird and felt way too dub-con! But Quinn is also trying to balance his responsibility for Aaron and his responsibility for the Nine Territories. There were scenes that made me cringe, and if you have triggers I'm pretty sure this book is not for you!
In between Quinn and Aaron figuring out their relationship and Aaron fighting his attraction for Quinn, there are attacks from the rebels, there is unease among the werewolves and their belief in their leader and there is the question of where Aaron's brother is.

But if you're a fan of shifters and their true mates and ALL that THAT encompasses then this is a kinky exploration os the master/slave relationship Also I have to give props to Aaron for keeping some of his independence (SOME) throughout.

One word: HOT!

I love the works of both Shannon West and Victoria Sue, so when I saw that they did a series together I just had to read it. And I wasn't disappointed. Shannon West and Victoria Sue are among my favorite authors and this series is off too a great start. The world that they have created is fascinating and wonderful. The sex scenes are hot and steamy and will be a joy for any m/m romance fan. I highly recommend this book and these two authors to any fan of m/m romance. You won't be disappointed!

I really wanted to love this book, but I didn't. Maybe I have been spoiled by other shifter books where the bond between a wolf and his mate is such a wonderful thing. A mating bond, to me, has always been about love, adoration, protecting the mate from all and any harm.....not so much in this story. There wasn't anything wrong with this book, as such, it just wasn't for me.

Stay on the surface

Here's the thing; Shannon West is my ultimate guilty pleasure reads author. She writes stories that have a pretty good plot, usually two enemies becoming lovers, and plenty of steamy hot sexytimes. Victoria Sue brought the extra layer of emotions to this, but I still saw way more of West. So, if you want a story with some conflict between the two leads that is resolved by have lots and lots of sex, this book is going to be great for you! Otherwise not so much.

On the surface I really enjoy these books. Aaron is a really good guy, trying his best to find his brother while infiltrating the rebels, doing his best to hold to his own values of no killing while fitting in with the group that he doesn't really agree with. Being with Quinn confuses him because he needs to get out to dawn is brother, but he wants to stay and meet this man. Quinn is the supreme alpha, but he wants to change the world and do away with the violence that has been in it for so long. He hopes to stop the rebels without more killing, and sees Aaron as the first step in that. The longer they are together the more tender and complicated their relationship becomes, and I really enjoyed that.

What I don't enjoy is the stuff beneath the surface, really looking at the world building. The wolves just drive me up a wall with how they have restructured the world in that they haven't. Before the plague, wolves and humans co-existed, but wolves were second class citizens. Seen as inferior and unintelligent by humans, wolves weren't giving much schooling and had to take a trade to work. After the plague wolves took command of the world. Now they see humans as inferior and unintelligent, don't give them any schooling, and only allow them to take on trades for work. And the wolves wonder why humans are rebelling.

Not to mention the wolves aren't willing to study human thought differences. Aaron is put on trial in absentia as the mastermind behind the assassination because he sat in the car, and in wolf society only the leader would sit back while others worked. In human thinking, Aaron was the getaway driver who was trying to avoid violence. It just frustrated me that the wolves are so unwilling to contemplate thinking of humans as anything more and as such are repeating history with their mistakes in the way they rule.

So, if you just want the surface things, the romance and sex and figuring out a relationship, great! But don't expect more or you will be very frustrated.

DNF @40%

I could kick myself for this late-night impulse purchase. I saw the bad reviews but for some reason after reading the sample chapter thought I might still get something out of this? Hell no! Most of the bad reviews I saw focused on the character development - people didn't like the Alpha getting soft on his mate. That's not a red flag for me and so I fell into the trap of the awesome cover...
To me the real problem of this book is the worldbuilding and the awful writing. The worldbuilding is ridiculously shallow. It seems like the author has not thought things through at all. I was left with so many questions that I can tell will not be answered. Where were the Wolves before the plague hit? Were they public or did they come out of hiding during the plague? What was the public reaction to this? If mating between wolves and humans is possible how often does it happen? What's the difference between a normal human/wolf mating and what is being described here? So humans aren't allowed to procreate outside of the breeding programs and the only recourse is celibacy? How about fucking birth control? I could go on and on...

Still, I have read a lot of bad books/fics and still gotten enjoyment out of them if at least the smut was good. This book failed me on that level too. Unfortunatel the dub-con nature of the relationship is not sexy in the least. There is no nuance, no push-pull and honestly no reason to root for either of the participants to get what they want.

Love/Hate

I loved Aaron but, hated Quinn? Ummm... He treated Aaron poorly, OFTEN! Yet, called it care or even, love... I think NOT! The understanding of human care never came... I am guessing this was a kink book? Master/slave type of dynamic? Ummm... Yes, not a bad story... Just not my cup of tea...

I wouldn't normally have read this book as I'm so not in to humiliation, but I needed it for Bingo, the winning category no less. As it was, the book was bearable. It was pretty standard shifter fare with some better than average (for this ilk) BDSM thrown in. I actually didn't mind it, but I think that really had to do with it being a paranormal story with species differences. The dystopia helped, too. I don't think I would have taken it as well had it been a contemporary human only story.

The one thing this and so many of these books don't address is consent. There is no way that Aaron consented to any of this. When he felt attraction and later more intense emotions for Quinn, it was because of Quinn's saliva and the mating bond which changed him physically. Without consent, it's rape. Quinn was brainwashing Aaron not training. His plan read like a primer on how to Patti Hearst someone. He was in complete control. It's kind of ironic how disgusted Quinn was to learn of a human raping another human like rape was not a wolf thing.

I had to put aside my aversions to that in order to accept the story, but for some reason it wasn't that hard to do. Maybe it was because despite all the horrible things Quinn said and started to do, he didn't actually follow through a whole lot, at least not on page, and was pretty kind and gentle. He provided good aftercare following the very first flogging, and was gentle and nurturing with words and actions when penetrating Aaron for the first time. He was far more loving and gentle than most alphas in shifter books. And maybe it was simply that the sex was hot.

Interesting world building. I have the same theory about the world taking care of itself. I think it's pretty arrogant of humans to think they can destroy the Earth. We can wipe ourselves out and take most of the living creatures with us, but the Earth will survive and flourish with life again.

There were some continuity errors, or rather difference in definition. I'm not sure what Quinn thought hurting someone actually meant when he told Aaron he would never hurt him so why would he need a safe word? I'm okay with him not providing one because the nature of the story was that Aaron was a slave and had zero control, but it was odd because an action that draws blood is causing hurt in my book whether it is desired and enjoyed or not. No judgment, not saying it's a bad thing, but it's definitely causing pain and damaging tissue. It was said that Aaron liked spanking and clearly enjoyed a whipping but later Quinn expressed that Aaron didn't enjoy pain in any form. This went back and forth.

Another continuity error was when Aaron had been edged all morning and Quinn was going to feed him lunch and then finish it. He ended up being called away and had a slave take Aaron to eat lunch, not removing the cock ring or letting him come. After lunch, he goes to Aaron again and is surprised when Aaron initiates sex. Then they have rather normal sex, no incredible orgasm Aaron has been waiting for.

Nice acknowledgement that all the women dressing sexily is chauvinistic but it didn't stop the story from being very sexist. As usual, the only women were slaves or an evil person (and still a slave), and the fact that they were women was important to the story. Everyone else was male. I'm pretty sure even the rebels were all male.

Questions and comments I have:

If piercings heal over, why wouldn't tattoos?

Why don't the others notice the mating mark?

I would never be able to pee with someone holding me. I absolutely know this. We'd be there for hours until something finally leaked out.

That many enemas isn't good for anyone. You need the natural healthy bacteria in your colon to stave off infection and disease.

Aaron was an idiot for his constant defiance. If he wants to escape or even better his situation, it's better to go along with everything.

Once the whole dominance and humiliation crap got out of the way, this was a pretty standard melodramatic angsty shifter story. I happen to like that so it worked for me. There was desperate OMG-he's-gonna-die stuff which I live for. I am surprising myself by the fact that I liked this enough to consider reading the sequel.

Supremacy of the Wolves 1

Summary:

The use of a plague that wiped out most of the human race followed along the way many appocaliptic stories, but the way Werewolves stepped in as the dominent species was very interesting. Many werewolves thought of humans as weak and inferior without realizing that they were using the same tactics that humans had used. Quinn didn't agree with many of the other werewolf leaders used against humans, but it never really hit home until he saw Quinn in the games. Aaron only joined the rebels to find his brother, but he found himself accused of trying to kill the Supreme Alpha Quinn when that couldn't have been further from the truth. Quinn was shocked to learn at first glance that Aaron was his mate because he knew that a relationship between them was almost impossible. The two go through betrayal, danger, and ultimately have to learn to trust not only themselves, but each other. On the whole I enjoyed this story, but some parts seemed to drag taking away from my enjoyment of the story. The conflict between humans and Werewolves showed that intolerance had not changed in spite of all the death and destruction the world had endured.

Although I'm not generally a fan of PN/shifter stories, I thought this one looked interesting.

As the wolves' Supreme Alpha, it's pretty much Quinn's job to be a badass take-no-prisoners leader of the Nine Territories. Lately, however, rebellious human factions have been plotting to kill him, so Quinn's determined that he will make an example of his new human prisoner -- he will make Aaron his slave. At least that's his plan until he meets Aaron, and is horrified to realize that Aaron is his destined mate. Quinn can't harm him, but he can't risk being perceived by his wolf opposition or the humans as weak or vulnerable, so he's forced to be harsh with Aaron as his slave 'training' begins. Aaron only ever wanted to find his brother, a rebel leader, but after being captured by the wolves and mated to their leader, he's afraid he'll never be free to search for the only family he has left. He hates Quinn...hates being forced to submit...or..he feels like he ought to hate it, but as days go by, Aaron finds himself surrendering to Quinn's desires and demands. When Aaron's abducted, Quinn realizes that, despite his suspicions about Aaron's loyalty, he must surrender as well -- to save the human he's come to love.

It's a pretty enjoyable book. Quinn really is an "alpha" -- he's forceful, decisive, and best of all...pretty hot and kinky...:) Poor Aaron -- all he's ever wanted is to be reunited with his brother, but he can't even do that right. He took the fall for the failed assassination attempt, and now he's not only a sex slave to the wolf leader -- complete with piercings and tattoos (and a guiche!) -- he's been 'mated' to the guy..er, wolf..as well. He'll never be free. But despite how much he hates his new life, he can't bring himself to betray Quinn. He's just such a good guy!

It's too bad that the author didn't explain in more detail about the whole 'mating' thing. Quinn's really surprised that Aaron's his mate: "No matter how incredible, no matter how impossible it was, this human was his..." and, "Aaron was his mate -- there was little he could do to change that.." Why? Why would/could a wolf have a human mate? What made Aaron his mate? How did Quinn know? What does it mean for Aaron (beside lots of kinky sex)? Much later on in the book we do learn that "..the mating bond forms very quickly." and that "This bite....seals the bond and alters the submissive partner's blood chemistry..." So..will Aaron turn into a wolf? Will he get wolf traits? Will he be deeply attracted to rabbit fur?

So...why even have this 'mating' thing in the story? Why not just have Quinn be super-attracted to Aaron?

But three stars for some hot and kinky action, and for some just regular action and suspense.

4 Heart Review by Amber

As far as BDSM shifter books go, I rather enjoyed this one. There were some regular things we find in shifter stories…fated mates, crazy jealousy, irrational anger but this story was wrapped in a surprisingly unique package that I couldn’t help but devour.

The world as we know it is over. After an aggressive virus outbreak wiped out the majority of human life, shifters being immune to human diseases were left to pick up the pieces. The US, Mexico, and Canada have been divided into 9 territories with an Alpha shifter leading each territory. Some humans hate werewolf rule and have formed rebel armies to try and overtake the shifters.

Quinn is the Supreme Alpha over all 9 territories. He’s a hard but fair leader. He’s completely awestruck when he comes into contact with human prisoner, Aaron and learns he is Quinn’s fated mate. Even though Aaron doesn’t identify with being gay, he can’t fight nor deny his attraction to Quinn.

What transpires throughout the story is an intense battle of wills. Quinn’s aggressive; Dominate nature is the perfect match to Aaron’s submissiveness. Aaron has a hard time obeying Quinn but he’s enjoying the punishments he’s been receiving not to mention the phenomenal sex they’ve been having.

I really liked this story. I loved the added post apocalyptic feel and it added another element to the story on a whole. Aaron and Quinn had the best enemies to lover’s thing going on. The intense BDSM/submissive/slave thing was so well done.

Anyone that likes intense shifter/BDSM stories will dig this…recommend!!
