“Haven’t you ever been in love?”
“You mean that stupid, insane, sickly infatuation one gets when they can’t eat and can’t sleep because they only think of him?”
“That’s the one.”
I’m relatively new to the BDSM novels, I’ve kinda been avoiding them so far because a)I’m sooo tired of hearing them all being compared to 50 shades, seriously-you would think it was the first erotica book ever written with the way everything since gets compared to it (I know I’m in the minority here, but I’m so over it & I haven’t even read it, with no plans to in the future). b)frankly, these books make me nervous for no other reason than I have no life experience with this stuff. I’ve lead a pretty vanilla life. However, I’ve read and loved two other books by Nikki Sex and this one caught my attention. As a result, I’ve turned into a BDSM book junkie.
Why oh why , Kelly thought, do I have to be so fascinated by such an unattainable guy? A dangerous man who just wouldn’t be good for me? She sighed, and supposed it was the ‘bad-boy’ allure. As relationships went, hooking up with John was pretty well about as impractical and impossible as could be.
This is the story of Kelly Flynn & John Taylor aka ‘Father John’ (with a healthy dash of the famous Andre Chevalier-YAYYY). For the past month Kelly has been a member of the private BDSM club ‘The Basement’ where she has been crushing on the popular Dom Father John.
John found it difficult to be emotionally involved with the rest of the human race, except through pain. But with pain there could be in his experience, no greater bond…
…Correctly done, pain was profound. It was a spiritual release, and an honest connection like no other. The reward of torment, the subs willing submission, the agony, then mercy and forgiveness. Such was a gift from each to each other.
Both male and female subs are frequently seeking out the attentions of Father John and his very public scenes. Kelly has been content crushing from afar, she’s not really into pain and he kinda scares her a bit, but she can’t get him outta her head. She’s looking for a Dom she can have a loving relationship with outside of the club and John Taylor is the king of unattainable.
“It’s just not fair because Father John just oozes the Triple ‘F’ factor, crushing and breaking the heart of every woman who comes near him. The man is beyond reach, but utterly captivating, you know what I mean?”
“Triple F?”
“Yeah. You know, the “Fatal Female Flaw.” It’s when ordinary sensible women fall madly in love with an unattainable man who can’t, or won’t love them back. I also call it the Triple Fucked Factor.”
Kelly gave a bark of laughter. Yep, that’s me, she thought. I’ve got an incurable case of Triple F for Father John. It’s madness. I simply can’t seem to think of anyone else.
Til one fateful night when claustrophobic Kelly gets caught in a broken down elevator with none other than John Taylor. Kelly freaks out and John does what he does best, takes complete control of the situation and of Kelly, turning her living nightmare into a night she’ll never forget. After their tryst in the elevator, John takes Kelly home with him and spends the entire night completely rocking her world. Kelly finds it easy to fall for John, but John is controlled by the demons of his horrific past making any relationship between them difficult at best.
Tarnish his soul? John gave an internal snort, well aware that he couldn’t afford to blacken his soul any more than he had already, sick perverse fuck that he was.
While this book has a huge amount of hott ass sex scenes, and I’m talking panty melting hott here, there is still a really great (if emotionally disturbing) story behind all that great sex. Watching these two fall in love and learn about themselves as well as each other was beautiful. They couldn’t be more opposite personalities but the balance each other perfectly. Throw in some mystery, deception and murder and what you have is one hell of a story. I am glad I got the box set so I was able to breeze right from one story to the next without pause, it was impossible to put down. The author really sucks you into the story and these characters lives so thoroughly, it was difficult to pull back out. So glad I downloaded this, it drew me into a genre I was previously shying away from and now can’t stop thinking about, I’m completely addicted!!
“Whatever you want, whatever you need, I want to give it to you.”
Underneath Father John the sadist, there is the heart and soul of a poet.
Kelly was his, everything she was, her breathing, her heartbeat, her body, thoughts, feelings, sensations and pain – it all belonged to him.
