Brilliant writing again, Jade! I felt so smug thinking I knew who kidnapped a certain person! OMG, I was wrong, nice going back years later with the characters and a new mystery happening. The plot and the twists make for another five-star read for me I am really loving these easy-read thrillers!

Now I don’t know how deep I can go into this without landing in spoiler territory for both books but i’m going to give it my all because I LOVED this one.

10 years after Alexis was abducted during the events of #Missing, her granddaughter Katie goes missing in a very similar fashion.

Being newly released from prison around the same time, is the original abductor to blame? Do we have a copycat? Is this someone a bit more close to home or do we have a double act?

Straight up i’m going to tell you my rating is
5 whole stars because I was hooked. I gave #Missing 4 stars which is still amazing, but moving onto this book I found myself super invested and caring about the returning characters much more.

I loved that we got insight into what happened during the last 10 years, I loved 10 year old Katies mindset and I loved how my own feelings towards different characters kept changing as I made my way through each addictive chapter.

Like book 1, #MissingAgain gets right to it quickly. It’s fast paced, easy to read and completely bingeable so if you’re a fan of thrillers like that then this is for you! Did I mention you don’t have to wait till the end of the book for the reveals? These come pretty early on and they slap.

What I also didn’t expect to see in this book were some gorey moments that made my toes curl. There were even some spicy moments with one scene making me squirm because of the setting, and there were parts that felt like being in a Disney movie with a princess and a dragon.

By the end of it I was left thinking what happens next for these characters. I think i’m obsessed at this point and I cannot wait to see where this series goes.

Thank you so much Jade for my early copy of #MissingAgain and thank you for trusting in me to share my honest opinions with my audience ❤️

Phenomenal! But I now have trust issues!

The story is set 10 years later from #Missing following characters we’ve met in book one. Some we love, some we hate and some we just cannot trust! Known characters and new.. I cannot trust anyone. After Alexis’ granddaughter Katie is reported missing all roads lead to the freshly released prison antagonist Charlotte from book one. Question is, does Charlotte remain the antagonist or become the protagonist, the hero, the one you’re routing for?

I had no idea what to expect going into this book and how the story would develop or the characters would grow. I know what you’re thinking who loves the crazy woman who kidnapped her best friend is desperation. Me, I am that person. The character growth, and like ability has you questioning your own morals.

Jade’s has this ability to set small hints and clues to lead you down a garden path to then slap you in the face with a plot twist you didn’t see coming! I was pacing, smiling, laughing and kicking my feet happy. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and Jade created such a tense atmosphere every page had me guessing!

- Twists and turns ✅
- Trust lost ✅
- Ticking clock ✅
- Red herrings ✅
- High stakes ✅
- Redemption story❓

A must read! If it’s not already on your preorder list… what are you doing! I have and will continue to recommend this series! Super excited for the next installment!

Thank you to the author for an advanced read copy of #missingagain

Ten years after the events of Jade’s debut novel we are back with Alex whose grand daughter has just gone missing. And top of the suspect list? A recently released Charlotte.

In typical Jade fashion this one is a why did they do it rather than a who done it so it may not be for everyone, but for me? Yes. I like the writing style. It’s quick paced and easy to read. A popcorn style thriller if you will.

Was I fuming with Jade for a good portion of this book? Yes and I let her know through some chaotic voice notes!

My biggest criticism is that the book just wasn’t long enough. *I wanted more* I wanted to know more about Charlotte’s time in jail and what happens after, rehabilitation wise. She definitely needs therapy. ALL of these characters need therapy!

And this time around I did NOT feel one iota of sympathy for the villain. Also what the hell were the police doing all this time this psychopath was running free?

*Special note to the author*

Jade, I am very much looking forward to Scribefest in November because I have questions!!! Thank you once again for allowing me to be part of your writing journey

I devoured this as quickly as #Missing! McFay’s writing is easy to read and with familiar characters, the story is quick to get into - especially because the plot is pacy and you don’t have to wait many pages for the drama to unfold! While I’m not typically a thriller reader, I love McFay’s thrillers because she will give you plenty to guess about in the first half of the book, she won’t take until the final chapter to reveal the secrets. This means so much of the book explores why characters are doing what they are doing rather than just misleading you to wonder whodunnit.
I love that this sequel re-explores characters from the first book years later; the character development is realistic and beautifully done. New characters are suspicious to me and there are enough to make you second guess who is at the heart of this crime (not who I thought!). The relationships are brilliantly crafted and seeing the story from different perspectives gives you insight into every aspect without thinking “Oh no, not one of their chapters!” and make you take a break from reading.
If you liked the first, you’ll love the second!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS. NO QUESTION. ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OH. MY. GOD. I absolutely FRICKIN’ LOVED THIS BOOK!

10 years after #Missing, we’re reunited with the gang — Alex, Charlotte, Jen & Co. — and let me tell you… history is repeating itself. 👀

Little Katie, Alex and Jen’s granddaughter, has been KIDNAPPED.

But WHO took her?
And WHY???
And just how the hell is all of this connected?!

Now, I actually guessed the WHO pretty early on (and in true Jade McFay style, we don’t have to wait forever for that reveal ), BUT THE WHY?!

Absolutely.
FREAKING.
UNHINGED.

And unlike #Missing, where I somehow found myself developing a tiny bit of sympathy for the abductor… nope. Not this time. There was ZERO love lost for this particular crazy person.

The twists. The tension. The ‘wtf’ moments.

10/10 for #MissingAgain!

If you haven’t read this yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Go. Read. It.

⚠️ BUT……READ #Missing FIRST! Trust me, you’ll want that backstory before diving into this one.

Jade McFay has done it AGAIN.

Such a great thriller #missingAgain was a page turner. It had me guessing who did it. Who it was, i didn't like the main character at first, but i felt sorry for her. In the end , i could read this book again. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good thriller
