A night with five of their closest friends was all that Evelyn and Foster had planned for when they decided to take part in a holiday progressive dinner party. However, when an unexpected guest makes an appearance and throws Evelyn off her game, it’s up to Foster to bring her back to her senses. His plan involves a little more than kisses.
A More Than Water short story complete with sexy times and a hair fetish, told from the dual POV of Evelyn and Foster.
Renee Ericson is the author of More Than Water and the These Days series--After Tuesday, Forgotten Yesterday, and Deciding Tomorrow.
Originally from the Midwest, she now resides in a small town just outside of Boston with her husband and three children.
Most winters, Renee can be found skiing with her family on the slopes of the White Mountains. During the summer months, she likes to spend every spare minute soaking up the sea air at the beach. All those moments in between, she is talking to imaginary characters and caring for her children.
More Than Kisses is a fun, sweet, hilarious and short story about our favorite character, EJ and Foster, and their friends.
It’s right around the holidays and these friends decide to have a get together. There is a lot of excitement, a lot of laughs and even some steamy moments added in. I always love getting just a little bit more of a book I loved. Renee’s writing is fantastic and witty as always. This story only took about thirty minutes to read and was highly entertaining!
For all fans of More Than Water, More Than Kisses is a must read! And if you haven’t read More Than Water yet, get to it! It was a fantastic read for me!
I have been wanting more of Foster and E.J. since I finished More Than Water. So when I found out about this little short, I was super excited. These two are one of my favourite couples. They are just so adorkably cute together with an unusual chemistry that is just so them that it works. I really enjoyed them in this one too. There was some teasing going on, some banter, humour, nerdy sexy talk, and of course steam. It was highly enjoyable and just overall great catching up a bit with these two. It definitely left me with a feel good feeling at the end. If you've read More Than Water and have loved it, don't miss out on this short!
Oh my dear Lord!!! How i needed that short story!!!
I loved Foster and Evelyn in "More than water" and this novel made me realise how much i missed them!!! The chemistry between them remained in the higher level... I laughed so hard with all their actions and the way that they connected...
“Everything is science, Evelyn.” “Not us. We’re beyond the equations.” “True. We do defy formulas and statistics.”
I absolutely ADORED this little glimpse into a day in the life of Foster and Evelyn... this was a short and sweet novella that was only a day long but it was fantastic! Evelyn and Foster and their closest friends are doing one of those house hopping meals where the appetizers start at one house and then everyone hops to the next house for dinner.. then next one dessert..
It was so much fun!!! Evelyn and Foster are still absolute perfection together....Foster shows his wicked ability to help distract and calm Evelyn through her freak out after her eyes see something that can't be unseen
And Evelyn never fails to keep Foster entertained and on his toes....
Yep.. I loved this !!! I want MORE Evelyn and Foster!!!
I close my eyes and cherish the way he kisses me senseless, making sense of everything, like only he can do.
I absolutely loved this short story! I haven't been able to shake EJ and Foster since I read More Than Water. That is a story that sticks with you. Renee Ericson's writing is something I love to savor. More Than Kisses gives us a little more sexy Foster and witty EJ. We also get to see a lot more of Wolfie. LOL When you read the story, you will understand that last statement. Now, Wolfgang is the type of character, I personally think, deserves his own book. He has a lot going on; I love him. If you are looking for something that puts a smile on your face and you will want to devour, I suggest this short story.
If you’ve read More Than Water, you definitely won’t want to miss this short catch-up story. And if you haven’t read either, you should!!
Spending a little holiday time with EJ and Foster is just what the doc ordered! Good times shared with one of my favorite book couples and their friends put laughter in my heart and a smile on my face. It’s a complete package wrapped in witty banter, sparks, and sweetness.
Author Renee Ericson has dedicated this one to everyone that wanted more Fozzie and EJ from More Than Water and she certainly delivers, though I think I now want more of them at every holiday if it’s a delight like this. Valentine’s Day, Renee? Please, please.
So this short story finds Evelyn and Foster getting ready to spend the evening with friends for the holidays. It starts off with their characteristic sexy-nerdy banter that had me smiling and laughing.
“‛How about it made it aerodynamic? I could have sworn I took a ride to space and saw stars on more than one occasion.’” “‛Just don’t ever wave me in for a landing.’” “‛Why not?...I want you sitting firmly in the cockpit. ’”
For the record, that’s EJ talking about Foster’s penis. And his penis certainly comes into play in this hilariously sexy holiday adventure.
A dinner party faux pas gives EJ a little more than an eyeful, sending her mind reeling, but the ever-adorable Fozzie knows how to bring EJ back to earth. (It’s funny; that’s all I’m gonna say.)
“I’ll make her think about my dick. She seems fond of it.”
Oh Foster, if you could only clone yourself. There should be so many more book boyfriends like you.
EJ needs to clear her head and a night of clandestine foreplay does just the trick. While I can thankfully say I’ve never had a real life moment like EJ’s, I have had a few too many fictional scenarios that I’d love to wipe clean from my brain so I still related. But there are no brain bleach moments here. In fact, both More Than Water and More Than Kisses make wonderful “distractions,” gracing the reader with many smile-inducing memories. There really needs to be more contemporary romances like these.
"I kiss her hotly. I kiss her madly. I kiss her lovingly."
I LOVE Foster and EJ!
ADORE. THEM.
They have become one of my favorite couples. Their banter and their way of joking around with each other is so refreshing and so carefree and beautiful. Foster knows very well how his Evelyn's kookie mind works. How her craziness is something that he adores as well.
I repeat: I LOVE THIS COUPLE!
I want to read more about theur love story. I want a play by play of their every day life. They probably have so much fun and so much love, they could fill up all the pages in the books, in the library where they first met. I want to know what happens next in their lives. The wedding, the honeymoon and every event after that. I know along the way, there would be some funny times. And let's not forget, The Sexy Times!
Overall, this was a cute little extra to add on to the Foster and Evelyn journey. However, I'm whiny and stingy and wanted more. I pouted when I got to 80%. I wanted to story to continue far more than was in these pages. Maybe the author will give us the wedding event as a short story as well. Crossing my fingers. ;)
“There are no secrets. Only knowledge.” “You said it was science. I need to know.” “Everything is science, Evelyn.” “Not us. We’re beyond the equations.” “True. We do defy formulas and statistics.”
This was the perfect addition to one of my favorite novels of the year. It just reminded me of how much I love EJ and Foster.
What starts off as a holiday gathering among friends, quickly turns into an escapade that EJ will never be able to un-see. Within minutes of reading this book, I was laughing out loud. Putting myself in her shoes for a moment, I can honestly say that I would have been off my game for the rest of the evening as well. Yeah, that scenario would be difficult to get out of your head.
Thank goodness Foster was there to help bring EJ back from the shocking, hair-raising scenario that she’d witnessed. Trying to get her to put all of her focus and attention on him seemed to be the ideal way for him to bring her back to her senses – and if he had to use their sexual chemistry to do it, so be it! I think that his plan was brilliant, but then again, this is Foster we’re talking about…he has a very big…brain.
Filled with humor, steam, and great banter, More Than Kisses is a fun read that kept me entertained from start to finish. If you enjoyed More Than Water, you will love this short story! I’m not sure if I will ever get my fill of EJ and Foster.
"I'm the man that's going to kiss some sense into you." "Most men would want to kiss a woman senseless." "You're already senseless."
This was a great short story about two of my favorite characters. I can never get enough of Evelyn and Fozzie. More Than Kisses follows them thru one night with their friends. It reminded me why I love them so much. Evelyn's free spirit with Foster's scientific, geeky, sexy mind are perfect.
The story will leave you smiling and wanting to try a certain 2:00 technique! If u loved More Than Water, you will definitely enjoy this short story!

**Please make sure you read More Than Water before you start More Than Kisses**
I loved catching up with Foster and EJ in this novella More Than Kisses, their relationship has gone from strength to strength and are now engaged!!
The books starts off with them participating in a holiday progressive dinner party with their close friends, they start at Wolfgang's and wow EJ gets a shock when she goes to find Wolfgang after letting herself in to his home, the scenes that follow are really funny, we catch up with Chandra and her boyfriend Jeremy, Graham and his very pregnant wife Lilliana.
We see the undeniable chemistry that brought this unlikely pair together through all things nerdy and of course the sexual chemistry, only downside was it finished, I really enjoyed catching up with all the characters and really hope Wolfgang gets his own story told.
Once again, Renee Ericson has me swooning over this couple and laughing at their antics. EJ and Foster are taking time to visit with all of their friends right before the holidays. When EJ accidentally oversees her friend masturbating prior to a party starting, it messes with her head so much that she can't even stay involved in a conversation with others.
So, now it's up to Foster to save her, but how. There's only one way he knows of and that's to use sex. Since they are bouncing around between friends houses, they can't actually have sex, but there's always time for some foreplay. What Foster doesn't expect is for EJ to turn the tables on him.
This was a great little novella that gave me more time with this couple and their banter that I love so much!
I was thrilled to know we would be getting more Foster and EJ, the extremely wonderful couple from Renee Ericson's More Than Water.
This short certainly had me smiling from ear to ear with the witty banter I have come to love combined with the tenderness that our couple show each other.
There is that perfect mix of humor and true love that only the author can deliver.
I am now left wanting more and hopeful this is not the last we will here from this delightful cast of characters.
This was a super quick, fun, and sexy novella. It was nice to get more E.J. and Foster and the witty banter between them. I really appreciated that the author gave this novella free to her readers - it was nice catching up with the gang.
I just loved this short and funny story! I think a re-read of More than Water is due to me, because this short-story just made me miss Fozzy!!! #TeamFozzy
