Spencer Perry knows this better than anyone. Her nightly visits have taught her all about creatures like Reapers, demons, and gods. Now that she’s made it six months into her deal with Hadrian, there isn’t much that can surprise her. Except for the way her ex-boyfriend/best friend is treating her. Every since they broke up, Micah’s been giving her the cold shoulder, and if that wasn’t bad enough, Persephone is back—again. The original Gravewalker is hell bent on tearing Spencer and Hadrian apart, by any means necessary. Spencer thought things would get less complicated when she made a decision and chose the god. She as wrong.
Librarians, please don't add books. I stay up to date and add them myself and have ended up with many multiple copies because others add them later. Thank you!

Okay, things got SERIOUS in this book, and I’m so, so relieved that I came to this series at a point where I can go straight onto the next book because I would legit NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF if I had to wait!
There were so many points where I did the whole ‘one more chapter’ cliched thing, but the cliffhangers!! (The end being a HUUUUUGE one). Dear god, the cliffhangers! This is the sort of book I would usually have gobbled up in a day but due to uni I had to keep leaving Spencer, Sydney, Micah, Hadrian, Thayer, Grim, Ferris & co to one side to concentrate on university assignments - which was tough! There’s a really solid cast of characters now, and I’m rooting for them all! (Well, other than the obvious, without giving any spoilers away...)
Also, the bonus material in this was GOLDEN because it was about a character I’ve been wanting to have more from since I heard his name and I’m so excited!!
An emotional rollercoaster. Exhausting and invigorating to read, even though this isn’t my typical genre! Excuse me while I start book four...
I just blew through the first three books in this series, and now I don't know what to do during the wait for book four.
It seriously went down in this book. We lost one of my favorite characters, so that made me a sad panda. There was a point where I thought the story was going to stay centered at the high school, which I couldn't handle. The big bad showed up and enrolled at the school and started trying to win over everyone. These are Greek gods/immortals/reapers who were going to classes and hanging out with high school students... But there was a reason for this, and the story almost immediately shifted away from the school and felt more realistic for me.
I just love Spencer more with each book. Yes, she has her insecurities (literally everyone in this series does), but she's still kicking ass and taking names and slapping jealous overbearing boyfriends when they freaking deserve it. She turned into Buffy. She had to put her shit aside and save the world. But it's not over yet. Freaking cliffhanger. I really need to know how this ends.
The endless drama is getting to me a little bit. It just made this one draagggggg. I’m not rooting for them, because they’re kind of toxic and have zero communication skills. If you saw these guys getting married, you’d be making bets with the other guests on how long they’d last, and it would start at hours, and end at maybe two years. You can tell me they’re long game, but I need to see it too. And I just don’t. They’re juvenile and spend the entire book fighting, then it’s a literal kiss and make up without actually addressing the issues they were fighting about in the first place. They haven’t really grown so it just was more of the same. Plus the whole Persephone being at school and playing along with it doesn’t make any logical sense.
I can't get enough of this series and it just keeps getting better!
What I love most about this book is that we finally get to see more of Spencer in action! She's tough, feisty, witty, sarcastic, sweet, loving and loyal to a fault! And I love seeing her learning from her mistakes and putting those badass Gravewalker powers to good use.
So much happens in this book which helps to keep up the fast-pace that I enjoyed so much in the first two. Persephone is still at large and this time is directly invading Spencer's life, Micah is acting crazy and all I wanted was for Spencer and Hadrian to finally get some 'alone time' ;)
I don't want to give away too much, but there's a lot of build-up in this book, a lot of politics, character building, and tension that I feel is building up to what looks set to be an amazing final installment.
We also meet a couple of new characters who I LOVE, but again, I don't want to give too much away...
As well as the battles, demons, reapers, grave walkers, sexy gods and all the other fun stuff, there's also a lot of emotional turmoil in this book - Spencer has to go through SO MUCH pain and it really tests her and everyone around her, particularly her relationships with Hadrian and Micah.
I really, really can't wait to find out how this all plays out but so far, I can't get enough!
I also want to make a note of how amazing Hadrian's bedroom is - I would never leave!
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I love Tempest's work!!! She's so incredibly talented!! LOVED Unbound!! ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!! The first two books of Tempest's Underworld series were absolutely amazing, so it's no surprise that she's done it again. As always, her characters managed to constantly keep me entertained. Spencer, Hadrian, Grim and the rest of the Underworld gang have all grown so much since book 1 and it's incredibly easy to grow attached to them. It was extremely easy to follow along, and there was never a dull moment. Tempest has managed to create an incredible world filled with Gods, Reapers and unimaginable places, constantly leaving you yearning to read more. And the best part: There's going to be another book!!!!! I literally jumped for joy when I found out the Underworld series isn't over! Book 3 was 100% worth the wait, and now I can't wait for book 4!! I would like to thank Tempest for allowing me to read Unbound in exchange for a review. It' been a really honour and I can't wait to read whatever breathtaking read she comes up with next. Truly her #1 fan.

First I’d like to thank Tempest C Avery for allowing me to read her trilogy as it was quite a unique and interesting experience to behold.
It’s been six months since Spencer made the deal with Hadrian, the god of the Underworld to spend a year below with him. After two books of a love triangle, Spencer has finally succumbed to her feelings for Hadrian and decided to give their relationship a go. However, even though Spencer desperately wants her life to go back to normal, she’s beginning to realise her life will never be described as “normal” again.
Spencer has really grown since our first meeting in Unhinged. She’s become a lot stronger after getting control of her powers as a Grave Walker, therefore doesn’t need protecting 24/7. This has made her a lot more independent. While she and Micah start off totally awkward at the start, she eventually finds a place for him at her side without complicating her relationship with Hadrian.
There were happy and sad moments but all were quite enjoyable. Much better than the second book, anyway.
I really appreciate the author for allowing me to sample this series.
I first want to thank the author tempest c. Avery for giving me a copy of this book. Secondly would like to talk about this book , the characters: spencer has completely change since the first and second novel , she has become more stronger( her powers as a grave walker was cool she learnt to master and control her abilities) she became more independent and made her own decisions , her relationship has grown stronger with her friends she never gave up on them , her relationship with Hadrian has grown stronger & she could officially call them a couple , she finally found place for were Micah sits in her life without complicating her relationship with Hadrian. There were happy & sad and funny moments along the way I love each character more and more especially Hadrian and thantos. Can'T WAIT FOR the next and final book in the series. The author is really talented she did a great and wonderfull job. Looking forward for her future novels.
This series just gets better and better! I love Spencer and her friends! We get to know Thayer a lot more, and some of the twists were unexpected! I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for the next book! Five glittery stars!
Please tell me this series didn't just...end without actually ending?? It was a perfect set-up for another book, but there is no indication anywhere that a 4th book is in the works. Wish is pretty disappointing. Hopefully, Chani Lynn Feener will change her mind and finally finish this story?
I really like this series because I like the twist in the Greek retelling that this one has. Persephone being evil is kinda awesome. I'm reading it to pass the time and the storyline keeps me entertained so it's enjoyable.
Full Review: *I received a free ecopy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*
This is going to be a short review since my thoughts on this one about pretty much the same as my thoughts on the first two, with just a few things to add.
I once again like how realistic and normal the high school aspect was, how interesting the story was, how likeable most of the characters were, and how supportive the female friendships were.
But not only did I love Spencer’s friendships with her best friends, I also loved her growing friendships with Thayer, Charlie, and Grim. I even liked the guys’ friendships among each other. They’re not the type of beings to find friends easily, so it was sweet seeing how much they cherished the friends they did have.
Another good thing was that this book had a little more emotion than Book 2 because of some love triangle/relationship-related things with both guys. I can’t say much about that because of spoilers, but Spencer finally made her decision at the end of Book 2, so this time she was dealing with the consequences and trying to work on the relationship with the person she chose. There wasn’t anything too heavy, but there were some painful moments, some bittersweet moments, and some happy moments.
But I once again had a few issues too. Most of them were the same ones I had in the last book, like typos and Hadrian not being the most likeable character (he was a little too volatile this time). And in this one Spencer became an amazing fighter super quickly, which didn’t feel realistic. It was explained as possibly being related to her powers, but still. Also, one of my favorite things about Spencer in the first book was that she actually made good decisions, but, as the series went on, her decision-making skills became worse (like investigating strange situations alone).
Overall though, this was another fun, fast-paced read in the series with some great friendships and conflict that kept me intrigued to know what would happen to these characters!
Recommended For: Fans of Books 1 and 2 in Chani Lynn Feener's Underworld series. YA urban fantasy readers who like Greek mythology, books set in the Underworld, love triangles, great female friendships, and mature YA characters.
I have this book for stars instead of five for one reason. The other two books aren't on kindle. This book was amazing, I love spencer. She's fearless, loyal and strong even when she's terrified. I love her loyalty and love for Hadrian Aka Hades. He's ancient but looks like an eighteen year old student. I hate Persephone, she's like a jealous ex, wait that's exactly what she is. She can't let Hadrian go for one reason, greed. She wants power, to be Queen.
