She has spent years hiding the truth in silk and seams.

He has spent years hiding his identity from the public.

Eleanora Moreau creates the most exquisite couture in Manhattan—suits and gowns that promise restraint, surrender, and every secret desire she wants for herself but can never have. While she’s locked in the work room forced to create, her designs are claimed by her stepmother, and the world has no idea she's the woman behind the designs.

Cassian Blackwood never removes his mask. The reclusive millionaire owns a secret club, runs his businesses, and hosts the Midnight Masquerade ball–an elite and secret party–all from the privacy of his estate. Alone for years, he has obsessed over Moreau designs, certain the true artist is not the woman claiming them.

When Eleanora risks everything to attend his ball in secret, he recognizes her the moment he lays eyes on her—and knows right then and there, they are fated to be together.

He offers her a contract that promises freedom, protection, and the chance to create couture under her own name.

All he asks in return is total surrender.

But some scars are deeper than the surface. And some secrets don’t stay buried.

The Midnight Contract is a contemporary romance focused on power and possession, with a dominant/submissive relationship to keep you begging for more. With Cinderella meets Phantom of the Opera elements, The Midnight Contract is an interconnected standalone and book one in the Crowns and Collars series.

I’m stunned!! THE BEST ARC of the year is this KINK-fairtytale 💙✨💦 FILTHY but SWEET Cinderella retelling with a KINK CLUB & a scarred mmc who’s devoted to his…seamstress?

“I want to keep her, but make her my queen? Whip her, but lick the tender flesh after? Degrade her, but remind her with my lips to her ear that I live and breathe for her?”

Cassian is a scarred recluse who doesn’t leave his mansion. He’s not interested in the outside world hiding behind a mask UNTIL he discovers his seamstress has been adding KINK-sessories to his suits 💦✨ NOW HE’S OBSESSED! He desperately wants her to become his submissive (already dreaming about her wifely visage!) but he must first find her! His life changes when the lovely Ella attends his masquerade ball and leaves behind…HER COLLAR! He saves her but she breathes life into him…

💙 his favorite part of their dynamic is AFTERCARE!

💙 he falls first & harder

EXQUISITE DYNAMIC! Desperate vulnerability & palpable lust mixed with the euphoria of finding someone that matches your kink! Both characters desperately wanted to be loved and used kink to express their devotion 🩵✨ There was a definite power imbalance further amplified by the dom/sub relationship, HOWEVER this man is actually so devotedly in love from the start!

💙 sex toys are a replica of his appendage!

💙 his property is one giant sex club

SMUT. KINK. PASSION. Not often do smut scenes introduce something new (to me!) and this…WOW we had ice cubes, cages, collars, whips and even just cloths!! All scenes were so thoughtfully vulnerable and passionately KINKY *blinding smut brilliance* AND THE AFTERCARE! Cassian was so gentle with her and his emotional intelligence was unmatched…which only made him hotter!

ARC Review: Thank you to Daisy Jane for sending me an advanced copy of The Midnight Contract to read and review.

If I only had 8 words to convince someone to read this book it would be: Come for the kink, stay for the story. I was hooked from the beginning! This book combines elements of Phantom of The Opera, Cinderella, and I even saw a little bit of Gatsby in there.

Cassian is such a multilayered character. The mysterious millionaire who never leaves his mansion. His name is whispered like a rumor. I loved his interactions with his brother, Lucian, and his assistant, David. The moments between Cassian and Ella are kinky, tender, and angsty at times. Cassian is such a strong character, and the way Daisy Jane had him evolve throughout his relationship with Ella kept me in a chokehold.

I loved Ella’s character development. She begins as a shy woman who creates dresses and suits with kinky elements. In the beginning she doesn’t know how she should feel about her need to be submissive. Through her relationship with Cassian she becomes so confident, she learns to speak up for herself, and she learns that kink is nothing to be ashamed of. I can’t wait to see what comes in the rest of the series.

When I tell you Daisy is one of my favorite authors I’m not kidding. Literally everything she writes is SOO good. Cassian and Ella’s story pulled me in and wouldn’t let me go until I finished it. I loved them so much.
