About the author

Tiffany L. Warren began her writing career in 2003 when she signed with Walk Worthy Press to publish her debut, What a Sista Should Do. She has gone on to publish over thirty full-length novels (eleven under pen name Nikki Carter) with Hachette Book Group and Kensington Books (Dafina). Tiffany has also independently published seven novellas.

In addition to writing books, Tiffany has a love for theatre, especially musicals. She has used her songwriting talent to write and produce several stage plays: What a Sista Should Do, The Replacement Wife and Just Like Yo’ Daddy, which featured many familiar faces like the late Tommy Ford (Martin), Grammy winning Shirley Murdock, Terri J. Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show) and Christian Keyes to name a few.

Tiffany’s latest venture has been in the film realm with book to film projects. Her 2015 release, The Favorite Son, is now a movie produced by Swirl Films streaming on BET+ and airing on BET, starring Rotimi and Grammy winning gospel superstar Jonathan McReynolds. Her second film project is a holiday adaptation of The Replacement Wife called Sound of Christmas starring R&B stars Ne-Yo and Serayah. Both her films ranked number one on the BET+ streaming platform at the time of their release being produced by MegaMind Media. Currently in production is a holiday sequel to Favorite Son called A Favorite Son Christmas.

Tiffany’s latest project is a historical fiction novel, about the first black prima donna Elizabeth Taylor Greenfield. Published by William Morrow, the novel entitled A Swan’s Song hits shelves in Spring 2024. At first, I'm like Greg should do it to Nya. But after awhile Felicia became annoying because I knew that married man wasn't her blessing. Like, come on now. That not a blessing at all. That's a freaking nightmare. Look at what she lost in the end. Smh. And getting back at Nya wasn't what she should've done. Because Nya was wrong for lying but no one told Felicia to mess around with a married man like really girl. How dumb could you be? That's no blessing. When he stepped into her office, I knew something was going to go wrong.

Then the 2nd part of the book. When she got into their church to get back at Nya. Greg was so naive lmao like really Greg smh you couldn't see what was happening until after she walks into the hotel suite with that gun. Boy bye. I was telling my mom about this book. I'm like what? he's either going to look dumb or shock when Felicia true colors come to light.

P. S. This book was really good I'm a fan of urban Christian fiction. Good read. Took me awhile to finish.

Felicia Caldwell is a woman who’s on top of her game, a good job and a man she loves. This is a story of love, lust, jealousy, strong religious beliefs, not to mention hearing what you want to hear. Take the journey with Pastors Gregory “Greg” and Nya Hempstead and secondary characters Lady Sandy and Penelope. This story will have you laughing, crying and saying oh no.

Right from the beginning we know that something is badly wrong, but it's not until we've walked each step with both Felicity and Nya that we really understand why. They put themselves in the way of temptation (against Proverbs 5:8)
and disregard the other well-known warning in Proverbs to choose friends wisely), deliberately (at least on Nya's part) suppressing those niggles that are usually the Spirit pricking your conscience, until they are both in so deep they can't even recognize the danger. Felicity, on the other hand, is just fixated on what she wants, whether or not it fits, and does not test anything or consider whether God would really offer a blessing in such a way. She steamrollers through, and yet is blindsided by the result.

I was surprised by the depth portrayed. It shows how easy it is to slip, to misuse a gift, to willfully twist words or be divisive and how easy to set fame over a calling... but it also shows the import of those focused in the church, and true repentance.

I think some Christians may find this hard to read because it portrays some of the weaknesses that leaders and pastors may have, but it's important to remember that they are all people. Non-Christians may read it with some skepticism, primarily because of the prophetic gifts, but as Nya explains, God cannot be scheduled, and yet too often "success" is defined by the secular world rather than the spiritual. Both will come to see how good intentions that go against Biblical principles do not bring the desired outcome.

Couple of Spoilers...

This book was good. This the first book I've read by Tiffany Warren. I believe it was good; I'll defiantly recommend it. But Lord, when I was reading this book I was okay, but I was shaking my head at Nya and Felecia. 1. Felecia was stupid as what to even consider that married man "Lance" was her freaking blessing smh "idiot move, " and secondly, she was stupid to believe the doctor saying some was wrong with her baby. I think she should've gotten another doctor to check to see if it was TRUE" but she was so BLIND> and in love, she believed anything. 2. For Nya, smh she was all for herself, just leaving her husband in the wind and only thought about herself and prophecy. Smh, I see her butt finally stayed home when sister Olivia told her about Greg being sick and seeing Felecia thot psycho self-coming on to Greg. I'm glad that Felecia got what she deserved she def needed help because she was blaming others for her own mistakes. Like she chooses that married man. Like girl bye. And Yeah Nya was wrong, but I still say that Felecia the one to blame for her abortion and life changing to bad.

Tiffany Warren has done it again. She has written another great page turner. She takes us into the lives of Felicia, Co=Pastor Greg and Nya Hempstead. In this book we learn some of the obstacles that Pastor Greg and Nya experience in their ministry. The characters experience jealousy, being lied too, forgiveness, deceit and mental illness. The story is well developed and you can connect with characters in the book. Great job Tiffany Warren.

Felecia, she was on of them psychopaths. I always say you can't trust women nor could you trust a man. Especially if they are going after you boyfriend/girlfriend. Wife/husband. Felecia had a couple of screws loose in her head to blame Nya for her own mistakes. And at the end, he was still plotting not on Nya but another pastor. Like dang, man you haven't learn anything yet. CRAZY!

I usually try to steer clear of books with heavy religious topics and Christianity, but I enjoyed this book! Tiffany L. Warren may write Christian/religious fiction, but it is written to enjoy drama and action AND most importantly learn a few lessons! It is not beat-you-across-the-head religious.

Nya and Greg are in the ministry as co-pastors. They work well together with what they were blessed with...prophecies (Nya) and the great word (Greg) to their small, comfortable congregation. When a megachurch Pastor Bowen and Lady Sandy step in to use Nya to bring them more of a boost to their following and create wealth and stardom for their daughter, Nya begins to neglect her husband and their goals in the ministry. At the first conference with them, Nya cannot prophesy so she lies to a desperate young women at the altar to impress Lady Sandy. This lie brings 5 years of pain to both that young lady (Felicia) and Nya and Greg.

There are lessons to be learned. The most important message....NEVER stop being who you are destined to be to impress others, especially if it will cause you to lie about your abilities. Another message that touched my heart....you cannot be blessed trying to bring pain to others. What is not meant for you is NOT meant for you! The worst thing you can do is try to find happiness with someone else's spouse/love and expect it to be blessed. This lesson is being said loud for the ones in the back....take responsibility for your own mistakes. You cannot forgive yourself and make a change if you cannot see your own faults! Last but not least...THE TRUTH will set you free. What is done in the dark comes to the light.

Nowadays everyone is looking for something to believe in whether it is spiritual or something tangible just as long as it is something to make everything alright.  What happens when that something that you are putting all your trust and faith in isn't the real thing?  Do you continue to believe or do you rebel against everything?

Nye Hempstead and her husband Gregory have a very successful church.  Nye has a gift from God where she can see what he wants her to reveal to others, some may call her a prophet.  Gregory is her co-pastor and he is great in his own right but Nye's gift has helped many people in her church.  When that gift fails to give some the desired result, how will that play out for her followers?  Will they continue to follow Nye?  Will this affect the church?  Will this affect her ministry that she and her husband had made plans for?  Is this something that she can bounce back from or will she and her church suffer?

The Pastor's Husband is a book about standing by your spouse through the good and the bad.  How we deal with people when we know that they are true and genuine until we discover that they aren't.  Warren writes this novel so that you know and understand everyone's viewpoint and feel like you are watching this on the screen.  The characters compliment each other and the story is smooth flowing.  I enjoyed reading this novel and I look forward to reading more from this author.

After finishing this book I read a review where someone posted "This book is FIYAH" and I definitely agree. OMG this book was so good and one of my favorites by Tiffany L. Warren so far.

Pastors Greg & Nya were the epitome of an loving, teaching, caring pair of ministers. They really had a passion for the people to be saved and reconciled with God. But in enters a shot at fame and Pastor Nya makes a split second decision that has far reaching consequences for her gift and calling, her marriage and one woman in particular, Felicia. Now Felicia was a little bit touched in the head, but the author showed what can happen if we put to much trust in the word of a person instead of seeking a word from God himself. The relationship between the Pastors felt real because it was not without its problems. It showed how pastors are just like everyone else they are not exempt from the same issues, problems and temptations as everyone else. I really did not care for Lady Sandy and here clique (yes churches have cliques) and I couldn't wait for Penelope to grow some backbone. But to be fair to her she was controlled by her parents money. Some church people may get a little upset about how some "First Lady's" are portrayed, but I think Mrs Warren did a good job of showing another side of church. Where sometimes there is a hidden agenda happening. But she also should how anyone can mess up and still be used by God for a purpose.

This book is a definite read. I have no doubt it will be on my reread list.

This was my second book by the author. The first one I didn't finish, but was encouraged by a reader friend to finish because they'd enjoyed it. Needless to say I didn't and was hesitant picking this one up.
This comes off as a care free type of read. I always get nervous when authors write about the Holy Spirit in a fictional piece, but this story addressed so many things that is relevant in the church.
The main characters, a pastoral duo ,are very familiar people. Pastors like them are not easily found especially in this day. Something happens to thwart their success and ministry. That's what this story is about.
I rarely tap out 5 stars unless the story has depth and lasting emotion that I can feel for a while. 5 star stories have to have those characters that become my roommate and lunch partners. I can't say that this one had that but what I can say is that The author plotted and wrote a well crafted story that will resonate with a lot of people especially those familiar with the church and ministry,and how the enemy can set you up and then try to destroy you. That analysis sounds deep, but there are some very light hearted and honey chile moments threaded throughout. This was just a lot better written than the previous piece I tried and I love a good story.

I liked this book more than I thought I would! I was initially annoyed by the “he better recognize” and “I know she didn’t” talk (I actually never got used to it, it annoyed me the entire time) but aside from that the story was very interesting. If you grew up in church, you’ve probably seen how people can misunderstand scriptures and use them to justify what they want - this story fully embodies that. So many misinterpreted phrases led to a string of unfortunate events. But it mostly dealt with the choices we make based on our desires and how we use others’ motivations to relieve us of accountability. I loved the twists and turns; even the ending was pretty strong in my opinion.

I’d do those interested in the book an injustice however I’d I didn’t warn you about the audiobook. The characters sounded older than they were in the book and the acting left a bit to be desired. I’d suggest reading it unless you want to grimace every chapter. Despite that I’d definitely give it 4 stars.

Awesome Read

There were life lessons in this book for sure. Sometimes Christians get caught up in pastors instead of God. Sometimes when we pray, we expect God to move suddenly. Sometimes we want things so badly we convince ourselves it's from God. Despite false prophesies, we know God wouldn't give us someone else's spouse. Sometimes we want attention and ignore that it's coming from the wrong person.
I loved how so many messages flowed through this story and yet it wasn't preachy. Just dropping wisdom in a great Christian manner.

I always enjoy Tiffany's books and this one is no different. From the very beginning, the characters make you want to jump into the pages and shake some sense into them. You easily get caught up in their story lines and want to know what happens next. Tiffany gives you a story of betrayal, consequences and lessons.Highly recommended reading.

This novel TOOK ME OUT! I was yelling, "Oh, no she didn't!" pretty much the entire time. There are so many surprises and you will leave questioning, crazy or circumstances? Who is really in the right and in the wrong? I have my thoughts, but it's definitely worth a read to decide for yourself. I was glued to this book and could not put it down. Dramas like this are not usually my preferred genre, but I am so glad I ran across this book in my library. As a preacher's kid, I want to give a disclaimer that if you are not a Christian or are a new Christian, I would wait to read this book. If you are in the ministry, or are a seasoned Christian and know the heart behind the mission and understand how the church can be, why it is that way and how it is a hospital, not a place for perfect people; then you will enjoy this book without it affecting the way you view the church, its leaders and Christ himself. I would highly recommend his novel, very well written. It's a roller coaster!

As crazy as this book was, unfortunately I can see this happening. The pressure to perform and the hunger for a "word" has made for an unhealthy church. I really struggled with Felecia though. How could she think God was calling her to that. (I am trying not to spoil the story). Penelope worked my nerves a little bit too and Lady Sandy...bye! I see so much truth though in the characters in the book. Especially those that have been in ministry a long time. I don't know when we've come to the place of entitlement but God help us. This book was a win for me.

Tiffany Warren has done it again! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I love how she balances out the lives of real Christians who are going through real situations. The main character and her husband were both likeable characters and the story was relatable. I enjoyed that the author showed all sides of people who work on the behalf of "The Kingdom". I would highlyrecommend this book.

What was wrong with Felicia?!! Like girl how did you think the suddenly blessing came in a form of a married man?!! Why did you have your own doctor?!! And Nya girl you wanted the fame and fortune you lived for it and left Greg to do the church on his own. When those ladies invited you on tour you should’ve said no!! Overall it was a good book. Hopefully Felecia gets the help and has a beautiful life after this

I have discovered Tiffany Warren! So glad I did. I just happened to pick this up in the library while getting something else. WOW. Great story. It makes you wonder if some people in ministry are really called by God. And it shows how others are always blaming other people (including Pastors) for their own mistakes. What a ride! I will be looking for other titles by Ms. Warren for sure! I will call her books 'ministry fiction' and recommend it to my Christian friends.
