Lane Whiticker is a tough, take no nonsense public defender by day and a frustrated homeowner and daughter by night. Having inherited a vintage Victorian Walk up from her late uncle, all Lane wants to do is renovate the apartment and enjoy her new space. Instead, her mother is contesting her uncle's will in the hope of getting Lane to move out and come back home. The apartment is a never ending stream of issues. Her upstairs neighbor has a mysterious past and is forever complaining, trying to prevent Lane from making the necessary renovations. Her largest problem though comes in the form of three incredibly hot men who work for Cornerstone, the renovation company she hired. They are not only taking up space in her place while they work, but they are each also starting to take up space in her head and heart. As she comes to know each man individually, she's attracted to them all. They're a tight group of friends. What will happen if she starts exploring her feeling for them individually? As the men spend time working on the apartment and getting to know Lane, they are quickly adding up that something nefarious is going on in the background and that Lane may not be safe. Will the group figure out what's going on and keep her safe? In the end, will Lane have to choose one of the men to be with?
"Drilled" is the newest book by the queen of RH novels, Cassie Cole. It's full of steam, drama, mystery and angst. Dax, Silas and Bear are dreamy and the perfect off-set to Lane's serious nature. The chemistry between the four is palpable and I devoured every page. Another must read!
