“Unbreakable” is the third book in a three-book series following a polyamorous (closed) MMF relationship. Hailey is the ex-stepsister of Cole, who is now an MMA fighter after being released from prison for assaulting his own father. Xander is Hailey’s current boyfriend and previously Cole’s best friend. All three of them were in a relationship together in college before Cole was arrested. Cole cut all ties after that, despite Hailey and Xander’s attempts to support Cole. Even though it’s been about two years of silence from Cole, Hailey and Xander are not complete without him, and Hailey sets out to find him, utilizing the Internet to create a viral post.

This trilogy follows these three leads over the course of about four years. While it can be read as a standalone, this story will be more enjoyable and have more depth after you have read the first two books, “Stepbully” and “Inevitable.” This book is the best out of the three as Astra Rose wrote the first two a few years earlier, and I think her writing skills have gotten even better with time. She is one of my favorite authors, and I really enjoyed this super sexy tale even though bully romances are not usually one of my favorite tropes. Cole and Xander were definitely bullies to Hailey in the first two books, and though there’s still some of that push-pull in this book, all three main characters have grown up and there’s less lashing out and less taunting.

Cole was really well written, and at one point when we were reading about his anger and how he wanted to not be ignored during a verbal argument, how he wanted the fire to burn brighter, I really understood him. Maybe it was because I was angry from a recent family argument, lol. But Ms. Rose knows how to show so much motivation and emotion in a few words. I do wish we had gotten more of Xander though. It would’ve been nice to delve into his psyche and his story. We did get a lot of insight into Cole’s family story and Hailey’s famous actress mother.

Ms. Rose does an excellent job in showing the leads together in pairs and as a threesome. There’s yummy male best friends/lovers moments, tender Xander and Hailey times, sexy Cole and Hailey pairings, and scorching scenes where all three of them are burning up the pages. HOT! Plus there’s lots of emotion and character building.

4.5 ⭐️ rating out of 5.

I definitely recommend that this entire trilogy for a satisfying story arc with an incredibly sexy MMF relationship.

It's only fair

What a wonderful ending for our three MCs!

I LOVED this Why Choose/MMF trilogy.

The author never gave us a painful ending or a cliffhanger; instead, we got more of an HFN in each book.
But she more than made up for it by having me screaming “What?!” and “Why?!” and keeping me completely addicted to the story by starting each book with a twist in the MCs’ story.

But finally, they get their HEA :). And let’s just say it was more than deserved.

Our MCs grew and matured throughout the story, while the incredible intensity of their relationship always remained a constant — both between the MMCs and the FMC, and between the two MMCs themselves.
A love that only grew stronger and made them stronger, giving them the courage to fight for their relationship.

Their connection was so intense that the many steamy scenes had me sighing and desperately looking for a fan!

With each book, the author gives us a plot that is not only incredibly hot, but also filled with hilarious moments and situations where the drama leaves us just as stressed as it does impatient to find out what happens next.

Of course, a relationship that is different from the norm can bring out some stupid attitudes, because society tends to like things in black and white, while feelings can come in every color imaginable.
But the worst part is when the cruelty and lack of support and acceptance come from the very people who should never have treated them that way.
Luckily, karma has its own kind of beauty.

I honestly don’t have enough words to express how much I enjoyed this story.
For anyone who loves forbidden love, seriously steamy scenes, and characters who can make you huff with indignation at first, only to slowly change the way you see them until you find yourself completely rooting for them, I wholeheartedly recommend this trilogy!

4 stars. This story is triple POV, well written, and the last part of a fast-paced, dark-ish, taboo, steamy, contemporary ménage a trois romance trilogy between Hailey, the female audio technician lead, Cole, the male MMA fighter/ex-convict lead who is Hailey’s ex-stepbrother, and Xander, the male forensic data analyst lead, who is Hailey’s current boyfriend and previously Cole’s best friend. I empathised with the historical grief all lead characters carried. I sympathised with Cole’s prison induced triggers. I enjoyed Hailey’s perseverance in looking for Cole. I enjoyed Cole’s grudging acceptance of his own desire to be with the others. I enjoyed Xander’s comfort in his own desires and his facilitation of interactions, though I felt like I didn’t see enough of him as the focus. I enjoyed the steamy and spicy intimate scenes which involved interactions between all characters in all directions. I enjoyed the supportive secondary characters, and enjoyed the interactions. I adored the ending which saw the characters comfortable and settling together, confident in the longevity of the relationship.

I came to this series with this last story and, out of curiosity, read it in its own before reading it last in the trilogy. I can honestly say that this story can be read as a standalone BUT is enhanced by having read the rest of the series.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Unbreakable is book 3 in the Stepbully Series. Phenomenal ending to their story. Xander, Cole and Hailey had a live together for a short while but it was cut short when Cole was arrested in book 2. Now Xander and Hailey are living a normal life together but every day they both have a hole in their hearts that was once filled with the presence of Cole.
Cole went to jail and now that he’s out he’s been trying to rebuild his life without his best friend and their woman, he doesn’t deserve them. He doesn’t deserve happiness. He just deserves this, what he has now.
Hailey and her best friend had a podcast as high school kids and now it may come back and affect the life they have now. But it may also lead them back to Cole so is this a good thing…or not?
The life Xander and Hailey have together is great but it’s not the life either of them expected or ever wanted without Cole. Stepping back into the world of Xander, Cole and Hailey was entertaining, passionate and so much more. Thank you for sharing the ending to their beautiful relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The entire series was so good but book 3 was really great!

*I received this book as an ARC from the author*

I’ve eaten up the Stepbully series and was curious how everything was going to end and this didn’t disappoint!

This brought a new depth to the story and relationship between Cole, Hailey and Xander but still kept all the heat the other two books had which I loved, I have no patience for healing arcs when the spice takes a backseat and this kept the spice front and center! 🔥

You get a much deeper dive into Cole as an MMC in this book and you really feel for him and just want him, Hailey and Xander to be together and finally be happy. This also tied all 3 books together perfectly and didn’t leave any plot holes or questions hanging around, it was a very satisfying series end!

I’ve really loved this entire series and recommend it for any fellow taboo lovers, its tension and taboo done the right way!

This was the perfect ending to the trilogy! I had to do a re-read of the first two as it’s been a few years since I’ve read them, and Astra’s growth as a writer is so evident from the first book through to the third. I loved the character progression for all three of the MC’s, but especially Cole. The way the book starts out, with respect to Cole, is a bit of a shock but it made for a more interesting storyline and I enjoyed that he was still very much Cole (aka a bully) but was able to find himself by the end and prove both himself and everyone else wrong. We also got a bit more insight into the parents, particularly Barry, which also made Cole just make more sense as a person. I was thrilled to be able to get an ARC for this book and I was definitely not let down by the end of the story!

This is the third & final book in the Stepbully series, and I ate. it. up!

It was such a unique plot line, with Hailey & Xander being together while Cole has vanished from their lives with no solid answers. I loved the deeper dive into Cole, though, and his journey that brought him back to where he belonged.

The spice was perfect! This was a pretty emotional book with plenty of conflict, but still plenty of spicy scenes sprinkled in. I also appreciated that the book showed some of the trickier aspects of how a polyamorous relationship would work & the jealousy after Hailey & Xan track Cole down and meet with him one-on-one.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book and the hard-fought HEA for the three of them. 🖤

This was a fab conclusion to this series and I love how it unfolded. We really got good depth with the relationship between Hailey, Cole and Xander. They had healing to go through but the heat between them stayed at a high temp ;P I couldn't help but root hard for Cole to find his way back to Xander and Hailey, who have felt his absence in quite a painful way. Thankfully, the author had our backs and they did get their HEA. The drama and tension were top shelf and I was so there for the reading ride. I loved it and def recommend :D

Hailey, Xander, and Cole
I think the author does a great job wrapping up Hailey and her guys story! The ending left me satisfied!
Of course the journey to their HEA, wasn't smooth sailing. There were lots of emotions going on, even some jealousy.
They also face other challenges along the way.
We got some drama, humor, and lots of spice too.
Overall, this was such a great trilogy. From where they all started, the growth they went through, and finally coming back together again.

Another Great One from Astra Rose

I think I just love everything this author writes. I’m stuck in the story so quickly. Plus, the spicy scenes are always so so spicy. I also like the storyline. As with the previous books in this series, I think Cole is a bit too much and immature. But I’m glad the book makes me feel something even if it is anger at Cole. I really like how this author does the multiple POV too. All around great read!

The last book of this series was everything we needed to finish out the series. Cole, Xander, and Hailey were introduced to us in book 1. At the beginning of this book Cole is missing, and I really missed him. Xander and Hailey just weren’t the same without Cole. And I’m a sucker for a good MMA story too. I really enjoyed this one and loved the HEA.

Absolutely loved the conclusion to this series 👏 I binged StepBully and Inevitable to catch up to read book 3 and was not disappointed. This book really does tie everything together, we learn a lot more about Cole in this book and I loved it! So glad they finally got their HEA especially after all the dramas and events they had to go through! Fabulous 👌

The final installment of the Stepbully series and it's a fantastic ending to the series. Cole is arrested in Book 2 and the opening of book 3 finds Xander and Hailey together living a life but their third, Cole, is missing. I can't say anymore so as to not word vomit all the good parts.

I loved this series and thank you Astra Rose for the advanced copy. The review is mine.

I read the three books in the series and can't believe how the main characters have developed over the series. What has started as a spicy story between the characters evolve later to become a complicated and interesting story. I liked the story, the characters and their passion .Highly recommended!

ARC Review:
This was a good read. I enjoyed revisiting their story.
I didn't really buy "badass"Cole Smith abandoning them after everything they had been through together, his character seemed a bit different from who he was in the previous books but.... It was a fun read.
