She's spent three years being the most prepared person in every room.
Then Rayshawn Cole became her boss.
Six-foot-three. Broad-shouldered. Patient in a way that unnerves everyone around him. He never raises his voice. He never rushes. And from the moment Emily walks into her first performance review, he reads her like a balance sheet — finds every number that matters and discards the rest.
He sees exactly what she needs. And he intends to give it to her.
Emily has a husband. A mortgage. A five-year plan. She has quarterly targets and a promotion track and a carefully constructed life that has nothing to do with the way her new division head looks at her across his mahogany desk.
But Rayshawn Cole doesn't ask. He waits. He applies pressure at exactly the pace that makes her come to him — and when she does, nothing about who she thought she was survives the encounter.
Every Inch is a scorching-hot office romance with explicit content, a dominant alpha hero, size themes, and a heroine whose careful world comes apart one closed-door meeting at a time. For readers 18+ only.
If you want to read about sex and submission well described, get started.
If you come this way expecting a story about a woman who gives at work, both to get ahead, but also to get what never happens at home. And you also expect to read about how she manages the home front while working and f**king like crazy at work.
Then forget this book. Because the only way we learn that she deals with her husband is to lie. Lie about her long hours at work and lie when her husband asks if she’s having an affair.
As soon as the lying about an affair chapter finishes, nothing else about her home life is mentioned.
This is hardly a story, it’s individual chapters about her sex at work and how she climbs higher in the hierarchy.
Without the other half of her life the story is cold and certainly incomplete. There’s absolutely no tension even though she’s cheating on her husband and lying about it.
I started out liking reading about her sex at work. But it soon became one of those low budget porno films where she immediately lies down and takes it and all we see are all the different ways she can take it.
Sure the story is short, but there were two books written to tell this. I’d like a lot more about the rest of her, so I could really feel something towards her, care about what happens.
No I can only recommend this book to those that don’t want to read a story.
