Savagely Scarred

Rate this book
Eight months after escaping the monster that nearly destroyed her, SWAT Sergeants Olivia Calloway and William Sage are finally building their life together.

But when women who bear an unsettling resemblance to Olivia start turning up dead, they realize that the past refuses to stay buried.

As the investigation spirals and the threat closes in, Sage will stop at nothing to keep her alive—even if it means crossing lines he swore he never would.

Driven by obsession, Kyle’s determined to take back what’s his—once and for all. But as his mind begins to fracture and reality slips further from his grasp, he is forced to question whether he is hunting…
Or the one being hunted.

Three lives. One deadly obsession. And a collision that will push them all beyond their breaking point.

Love will be tested and vengeance will demand its toll.

Some scars never fade. They only become more savage.Savagely Scarred is a fast-paced dark romantic suspense and the second book in The Resilience Series. It is not a standalone and should be read after Brutally Broken. Sage and Olivia's story continues—with the added thrill of a third POV.

Don't worry, I didn't put her through the same trauma.

There are… other things though…

I read a lot of dark romance filled with morally gray men—sometimes so gray they’re practically black. I read romances where love doesn’t exist, only endless darkness. But this series? It gave me something different.

One of the things I loved most about this series was getting a fresh perspective that I personally haven’t encountered in many books. And yes, there are plenty of stories told from a killer’s point of view, but this author gave us a different look inside the mind of a killer. A perspective that makes you think, question, and see things differently.

Writing this review is HARD because I desperately want to talk about a certain shocking turning point, but I refuse to spoil it for anyone! 😂 When you read romance, you can sometimes predict how the story will end. But I can honestly say this book’s ending caught me completely off guard. I DID NOT SEE IT COMING!

But what I loved most about this series was the female lead. She never needed a man to save her. She was strong enough to fight her own battles, survive her own darkness, and rise on her own. She was a phoenix, and I feel like this author reminded so many women, myself included, that no matter how badly life burns us down, we can rise from the ashes and be reborn.

I love the way this author writes. I love the jokes that have me literally LOLing. I love the characters, the twists, the darkness, and the way this series pulls you in and refuses to let go.

And now? I’m left waiting, impatiently, to see what happens next! 🔥🖤

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!

This book duo is extremely heavy, but it is incredible. The story will keep you on your toes every second. Sage and Olivia are goals and I couldn’t get enough. The trauma these two endured was heartbreaking. But- the story will piece your heart back together again. This is one of the best stories I’ve ever read. 6 stars!!! ⭐️

I really felt like this book was extremely unnecessary, and the constant chapters for Kyle, he didn’t deserve any time in the spotlight especially with how much he got. I am glad they got their HEA though.
