When the quiet, serious new vice-president, Julian Alinac, starts working for her father, he presents her with an opportunity: pretend to be engaged to him, until she finds a solution to her unwanted fiancee in waiting.
Julian Alinac has always been a poor boy. When he's invited to be the new vice-president of a company in Toronto, he's suspicious, but this goes out the window the moment he meets the beautiful Ireland Evers... that is, until he learns that she's his boss's daughter.
Ireland and Julian work together to mould their future through friendship, shenanigans, and a slow-burn romance that focuses on the heart just as much as the heat. Along their journey, Ireland and Julian learn how to stand up for themselves and discover shocking secrets that set this story apart. Will they learn how to love themselves, and then each other?

I got to read this as a ARC and I’d like to thank the author for allowing me to read this. It was beautifully written and I loved it.
This book takes place in 1902 in Canada, the story battles with social class, reputations, and trying to be to find ones self and love.
The FMC Ireland doesn’t want her parent deciding her fate for her, when she learns that someone she grew up with is asking for her hand in marriage but he might also be dangerous. She seeks an escape into a fake engagement with the MMC Julian. Julian is irelands father’s new vice president.
This story’s got romance, social class difference, takes place in a time where woman were still looked on as second class citizens, even in the upper classes.
Over all great story and I loved it❤️
