Lyla has been nothing but helpful to her stepbrother, Tristan, since she joined the law firm that he works at. She has become his right hand on all of his cases. She goes above and beyond what is expect of her. She knows him so well that she knows his moods and when he's tense and needs to relax before a case. Layla is just the right person to help relax and get give him all the pep talk he can handle. But has she started something that could eventually send them both up in flames?

I really liked this book. Like I've said before Selena Kitt is one of my favorite authors. Once I pick up one of her books and start reading, I go on a binge. And before I know it I have 10 or more of her books. This is what has happened with this series. I recommend this book, series, and author to others.

••One HOT Short Story••

This had been a wonderful surprise. The chemistry between the two. Sure there were corny dialogues but I did like Tristan’s story.

The two were hot together though they were both waiting for each other to deepen their relationship. Both were afraid of losing one another and of rejection. This is the first book that I had read in this series that are adult and there is a HEA.

There were no mention of the two being in a relationship as they were both dedicated to their studies and job. They only had each other.

Recommend it to all who wants to read something HOT and short with no disappointment.

Ms Kitt's collection of 'stepbrother' series has been my first foray into this genre.

While the plot is not a brain teaser, the characters are generally likeable and always have a palpable chemistry that bounces off the pages.

A short, little predictable, but sizzling fun read and recommended for anyone looking to tiptoe into the sizzling 'stepsiblings' genre!!

The courtroom had never been this hot. It was hot with sizzling romance. The plot and story was there, completed with rigorous sex and spark of crude language. The H was alpha, but no mistake, I think the h was equally alpha. They balanced each other and knew exactly what they want.

Lyla is a junior partner at her step-brother's law firm and before every court case she builds up his ego to mentally prepare him (she gives him a BJ). This time though, he needs more and she's willing to provide it. I like these shorts in general, but they're hit and miss for me because they're all so different. This one felt a bit too cold, like their wasn't much emotion or feeling. And I've never been a fan of the kind of guy that needs to hear that he has a big dick in order to feel confident about himself. Scenes are sexy though.

A lot of the dialogue was corny as hell, but I liked that these were older people (I get tired of the 18yo virgin cliche). What I didn't like was the fact that the sexual relationship started before the book started, that made me feel cheated. Overall, though, hot quick read.
