Lycan Alpha Claim #1 is another great chance to follow a new group of characters through the paranormal world of Blodgett’s talented imaginings.
In Lycan Alpha Claim, we meet Talyn. She isn’t Blodgett’s typical heroine but a beautiful, curvy 30 something. She just wants to find a man of her own that will put her first. Now caught up in the maelstrom of the supernatural, Talyn must rely on wits and resources to survive.
This is a short story giving you just a taste and a feel for the story to come but still leaving open all the possibilities on the plot direction.
Holy hot alphas Batman or should I say, Lycan, Vampires and I’m sure more to come. I don't know how so many alphas can survive all being in such close proximity...or will they?
Well, we are once again left hanging but with some marvelous character crossovers that are sure to delight Blodgett fans.
In Talyn’s world, vampires exist! Are there more supernaturals roaming under the radar of humans? At 35, our psychiatrist isn’t feeling very good, I suppose you could say she is feeling, bitchy. Everything from her teeth to her joints ached, she was short-tempered and wondering about the “change,” surely she was too young! Suddenly she is being stalked by a handsome biker kind of guy she met at a bar, but is he the only one trying to get up close and personal with her? Merck knows what is going on with Talyn and he is there to protect her against others, while trying to figure out his attraction to this woman. Will this beautiful woman change his world? Right now, Talyn is getting caught up in the world of the supernatural and she will have her own life overhaul to come to terms with.
Lycan Alpha Claim, another brief Bites serial novella from Tamara Rose Blodgett aims the spotlight on another group of supernaturals with a touch of action, some major drama with a few riffs on the romance string coming up! Versatile with her writing, with her own unique voice, the tension is high, and the outcome is unknown, until next time! Lots of story to sink your teeth into, just watch that last step, it may be a killer!
I received this copy from Tamara Rose Blodgett in exchange for my honest review.
Series: Lycan Alpha Claim - Book 1 Publication Date: June 29, 2015 Publisher: Tamara Rose Blodgett Genre: PNR | Scifi Page Count: 50 Available from: Amazon For reviews and more: http://tometender.blogspot.com
This is a part of one of a six part series. It's a short novelette about a hybrid werewolf that has no idea what she is but she's about to learn. This review is a bit spoilery.
Dr. Talyn Phisher is a counselor, she helps others while feeling frustrated and out of sorts with her body. She 35 doesn't realize she's about to go through the change, she just knows her joints ache and her body doesn't seem her own anymore. She also seems to have attracted some unwanted attention, being attacked in her office and being followed by a strange man with blue eyes.
Merck is a lycan warrior changer, he's been assigned to follow Talyn and assist her in her change. When she is attacked he goes against protocol and steps in to protect her.
When law enforcement doesn't take her attack seriously Talyn goes to Final Enforcement who enlighten Talyn on who she really is and all hell breaks loose.
I have to say I'm not a fan of serials but since I have the next few books ready, I'm okay with it because everything in this first segment captured my interest. I like that Talyn is a smart and successful woman, dealing with her life and perceived challenges. I don't think Merck was given enough time on the page but the time he did have made me want to know more about him.
I received a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/

This was pretty good. There were emotions, some suspense and a little action, but it does leave you hanging. I wasn't thorough in reading the 'description' of the book (in my defense it was a freebie...) and this is part of a series that is made of episodes. Soooo... This isn't a complete book and just part of one. This definite ends when things are starting to get good. It was ok but I didn't really get into it until the last chapter or two.Takes a while to develop I guess. Good Luck
I received a ARC for a honest review Talyn Phisher was a Psychiatrist a woman going through some kind of a change she is not familiar with because she felt like she was elderly when she moved and her mouth hurt and her lower body felt that it was on fire she was only 35 she couldn't imagine that she was transitioning but her Alpha Lycan Changer Merck knows what she is and what she is about to become he keeps watch on her because she will be in heat soon and all alpha's and those humans who believe them selves to be alpha will try to have her. When she gets home that evening after work and stint at the gym she finds a long tooth that she knows doesn't belong to the cat in her kitchen it drops to the floor and breaks off she takes a piece and sends to her friend to be analyzed by her best friend the next day a man she told to get lost at the gym comes into her work and tries to man handle her from then on she slowly finds out things that she never suspected could possible be because of her body changing. This was a short story it was very interesting series part 2 should be very informative.
I enjoyed the story but really had a hard time getting around the narration. The story was a well written love story with well-developed characters and great twists throughout.
I enjoyed the story and give it 5 stars, but the narration is a generous 1 star. Overall; I rate Shifter Alpha Claim audio book with 3 Boundless Star book. I recommend the paperback or e-book to others readers; anything but audio and you will enjoy the book much more than I....Beth
I found the story to be really entertaining it grab my attention from beginning to end still too soon to make out what's really going to happen but I'll be anxiously waiting to see what's going to happen next in the next installment.
Wow. What can I say about this book....um... I love it!! This author can catch your attention and hold it till the very end. I don't give things away. But I will say I'll be buying the next book as soon as I can. Oh. That's right.... you can pre-order it.
Talyn Phisher is a counsellor in world that technologically more advanced as us and where humans now know that vampires exist. She is sad and depressed with her life listening to people who don't really want to get better. She then suddenly seems to have acquired a stalker with piercing blue eyes. Even worse she now feels very frightened that she is seriously ill as her body seems to be changing in some way
In desperation she reaches out to an elite team within the police called Final Enforcement for help, however she is not happy about the answers she gets about both herself and her stalker.
This is the first of six novelettes and you may want to read this one to make sure you like it and then then decide to buy the set of 6.
I liked this book. It took a few new twists on the shifter/vampire/human conundrum which made it different to many similar books. The writing was good and clear, and I definitely want to know what happens next.
Shifter (Alpha Claim #1) - a review by Rosemary Kenny
Talyn Phisher is having strange sensations as her body seems to be changing. Too young for a menopause and knowing she's not pregnant, (she 'knows' she's barren), leaves the 39 year old worried and off-colour- not helpful when she's counselling troubled clients at her private clinic. Other MC Logan has a hidden purpose as he studies her...he knows more about her than she knows herself and that Talyn's dark heritage won't be a secret much longer.
A tense and suspenseful supernatural romance, that develops in a most unexpected way, is Tamara Rose Blodgett's first book in her Alpha Claim series that will thrill, chill and charm you in equal measure til the very end. It's a winner!
I wanted a bit of light reading and this "book" was free on amazon. I have to admit, I got what I asked for. At the end I still didn't know how anyone looked like (hair colour or eye colour is NOT enough) or even where it all took place. Really, I don't think it gets any lighter than that. Shame, the plot isn't so bad.
Several stories, most have violence to women that make them unacceptable to me.
I see enough violence committed in women and children without wanting a heavy dose of it in my fantasy reading. Other than that, the stories need to be gone over for incorrect tense of words used, misspellings, and a few other grammatical errors.
The story,or what there was of it was good, really good. However I will likely strive to avoid TRB in the future. I love her writing but cannot afford to pay for a series in order to find out what happens. Better to avoid the teasers.
I like the futuristic paranormal storyline. Definitely a series book, won't get any answers here but the excellent base for the series makes you ask lots of questions.
This is a great start to a new series for me. If you love paranormal stories as much as I do, you'll love Lycan (Alpha Claim 1). The story gets you hooked right away. Intriguing instead of a slow burn. Can't wait to read all of it.
I liked the first book I like stuff on lycanthrope but it certainly left in a cliffhanger. The other story about a boy with abilities to raise the dead could also be interesting for sure the frog scene is interesting.
This book is a ramp up to a sexy paranormal romance. Super short introduction to the world. so you don't get a lot of info or character development but it is interesting. Changer's change hybrid female Lycans with sex but no sex actually happens in this book and then ends on a cliffhanger. Stalker Lycan and clueless therapist. Writing style threw me off a little though, lots of I statements. Well, way more than I am used to in popular urban fantasy books.
Can't say I would either! WOW!! What a fangtastic bite! It's a wonderful bit of werewolf lore. NOT!! That is a line more suited to whence it came - the story itself because this is so much more that “just” a wonderful bit of werewolf lore! This is one gritty, passionate & intense story that I CANNOT get enough of! This is not for the faint of heart, but WOW!! Is it ever hot & PAWESOME! This story is bold, hot, a no-holds-barred kind of wolf tail and giving it that raw edge is the first person narration. I love just how unique this story is with it being set in the future, with cool future tech, laws, and more, but of course the part that was my favorite – everything about her werewolves! Their history, process, way of life, pack rules, etc. It just all flows pawfectly together into one helluva story that I can't wait to see what happens next! Tamara had me under her spell right from the cover, let alone the actual story, but that story - it has me panting for more! Tamara is definitely a FANGTABULOUS author who has grabbed my attention and I cannot wait to read ALL of her books! Which I will be doing while waiting for the next installments in this GRRRIFIC series!
I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I felt a certain kinship with Talyn Phisher, as she feels that she's past her prime, her life has little meaning and she's chosen to be a councilor to people who have some difficult and heartrending stories. Merck has a tough job too when it comes to Talyn. I fell in love with these characters. They have so much in common and yet are so different from each other. There's no way Talyn is going to survive without Merck but at what cost? This story set my teeth on edge due to its many stories within stories. Without giving too much away, there were some references to other works by Tamara Rose Blodgett that added a little intrigue. The story came at the Lycanthrope species from a bit of a different angle, and I really liked the direction it was going. I couldn't put it down and have already preordered the second one. Thank you for taking me on another exciting adventure.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Tamara Rose Blodgett. This is part 1 of the series Alpha Claim by the author.
Talyn Phiser is a counselor and rather bored with her life and she wants a happy ending. She thinks she is sick and needs a doctor but she is changing. When her life is threatened she turn for help but he is not what he seems to be but then she is not what she thinks she is.
This book has a great story line and wonderful characters for any reader to enjoy. The author gave the characters very good interaction with each other and created believable drama.
This book is for any paranormal romance book reader who like some drama with their romance.
I was blessed enough to receive a free code from the voice narrator of this book (so that I could listen to in on Audible.com) in exchange for my honest review is as follows:
The book in my personal opinion isn’t long enough to really explain what’s going on and when you do get to the point of the main plot starting to kick in the book ends.
The characters explain how they are feeling but the storyline it's self takes forever to catch up to them.
I am going to reserve giving this book a number rating until after I’ve read/listening to book two in the series. I do want to add that if you are a fan of “Preternatural Affairs” series by S.M. Reine I think that you’ll enjoy this book as well because it seems to have some of the same vibes.
Taken is awesome and sassy and I love that she is an older female with a bit of curve to her.
Merck is hot hot hot!!! I can not wait to get to know him more!!!
So far it is action packed and of course the sexual suspense is heated!!!
I could not put this down I cannot wait for the second instalment.
And Oh my Narah and Aeslin and Matthew from Vampire Claim make an appearance my heart stopped at the words "I'm Enforcer Adrienne" she's BACK!!!! I'm so excited!!!!
All up love love loved it!!! I can't get enough roll on part Two!!!
