AHHHH ok! So I really enjoyed this! This had my number one fav scene in the anime which was the plot at the fair with the love challenge and the confession at the fireworks! Perfection! Other scenes I really liked from the anime that were in here: usui giving misa his shirt after hers gets wet, usui jealous of shintani, usui kissing misa on the head after she ate too many sweets! One thing that was really interesting for me: a lot of scenes that happened before the finale in the anime actually happened AFTER the school festival! I really enjoyed the little moments between misa and usui and I think they’re soooo cute, but I was a little frustrated! lol mainly bc they both admitted their feelings in the middle of this and it didn’t really go anywhere? Granted, I know it’s because misa is still trying to understand her feelings but I felt like there needed to be something that needed to change in their dynamic after they admitted those feelings. It bothered me that something didn’t really change, but I think that’s going to change in the next volume! I’m hoping they take that next step in their relationship 🤞 that being said I still REALLY enjoyed this and I absolutely loved the bonus scene!!!! Throughout this whole volume usui is just very sweet to misa and really shows her how he truly feels about her and I love them so so much<3

Victory! They have finally acknowledged their feelings and were ultra adorable in this book. The side plots were also some of the best yet

This one had less of Usui being a stalker, but there was still some- like him listening in on the conversations about student council elections.
I am curious to see how those work out with Kanou challenging, and Misaki's newly found feelings...

ooooo things are definitely heating up a bit here😳. interesting seeing certain chapters in a different order than scenes in the anime but it makes more sense in the manga in my opinion!!

With this volume, we get more insight into the backgrounds of several characters, include Misaki herself. Usui's patient but particular wooing is slowly breaking down Misaki's defenses and making her doubt her own perceptions of her classmate.Story: The maid cafe has a Halloween contest - one that Misaki offers to secretly join in so she can help a coworker rebuff a customer. But the prize will entail visiting a carnival - with Usui in attendance. Can they defeat the lovers' challenges hand in hand - or will they kill each other first? Hinata, however, still muddles through his unrequited love for Misaki. And a chance encounter on the subway results in Usui being invited back to Misaki's home - giving him a chance to see why Misaki is the way she is and reinforcing why he wants to be with her. With school elections coming up, will Misaki still be the student council president?
8 volumes in and I'm still really liking the characters here. Usui's quiet self sufficiency and insouciance contrasted with Misaki's sense of duty and dogmatic adherence to rules and order. Clearly, they are opposites but that's also why they fill in each other's emotional holes. I have to appreciate that Misaki never turns into a moron from all the romance and Usui is never actually mean or cruel to her. Fujiwara has done a beautiful job of clearly defining their personalities. It's really a shame the anime so completely changed the dynamics of the characters, converting pathos into cheap laughs. Finally! Ive caught up to where the anime ends.
And nothing has changed a damn bit.
When I watched the anime, which ends on vol 7, in my head after the confession and the kiss I thought that Misaki would quit the tsundere act and their time as a couple would begin to develop.
No, we just weirdly begin to focus on everyone else and both protagonist wait in this sort of relationship limbo.
I know the whole point of their dynamic is Usui is all set and ready to go but must play this game of push and pull but I honestly don't know how he is still patient.
Why isn't she allowing herself to like him, again? Or even really acknowledge that she already likes him? She's just like a bitch all the time despite Usui ultimately being very supportive and always looking out for her.
Now if she didn't like him, she owes him nothing. Be a bitch till he finally gets the message, babe. But she does like him and she likes having him around. So, what are we doing?
The Manga staight up asks the question and Misaki just let's Usui hug her and she "doesn't tell him to let go".
8 volumes of this shit, guys.
She'd be walking down the isle all the while fuming with rage and telling Usui not to touch her with his disgusting hands.
Sigh.
Either way the student council arc totally paid off when we got to see Usui and Misa casually holding hands while she napped. That is the shit I'm talking about right there.
But then it got ruined at the end of vol 8 when we find out Misaki bitched the whole damn time.
Please, more soft Misaki.
Only for Usui that is.

Volume 7
Uno dei volumi che più mi ha fatto battere il cuore, soprattutto per il bacio tra Misaki e Usui davvero dolce e super romantico, la storia è sempre più intensa e interessante tanto che non voglio smettere di leggerla. Le tavole all’inizio dei vari capitoli sono strepitosi e mi affascinano. Un finale da batticuore e una storia bonus davvero breve, intensa e un po’ divertente riguardante Aoi ma anche riflessiva.
Volume 8
Un altro volume che mi è rimasto nel cuore, per la sintonia tra Misaki e Usui che mi fa sognare ad occhi aperti, un rapporto dolce e magico. Molto interessante il fatto che viene fatto capire qualcosa di più su Hinata e su come voglia bene a Misaki e l’ammiri profondamente. La copertina della storia bonus è molto dettagliata e affascinante, con un tocco di divertimento ma soprattutto si vede il senso di protezione verso gli amici. Sono sorpresa dal fatto che che sia presente una seconda storia bonus, dove vediamo una Misaki tormentata dall’amore ma piano piano sembra lasciarsi andare.

"The Love Trial" this manga spoke volumes on how much Misaki enjoys doing things with Usui but he enjoys giving her that extra push where she wont feel soo embarrassed to show her feelings for him. Thats what makes it really adorable which i had to go to the anime to see it in motion and it was even more hilarious if i do say so myself. Also during that little fun escapade we see more love blossom with Misaki's friends,Sakura gets to let her love shine with the leader of the band Uxmishi Kuga.......he was kind of a pain before but when you hear how much he has matured because of sakura you get that butterfly feeling and all you can really do is just go aaaawwwww one of the best ever!

EMPIEZA LO BUENO AAAAAA!!!! El capítulo 32 es de mis favoritos del manga entero y jamás me cansaré de leerlo ;_; aunque es un poco ??? que después de esa confesión la relación entre Misaki y Usui no haya avanzado tanto como me gustaría, aishhh. También me ha encantado el capítulo extra con el idiot trio yendo a rescatar a Yukimura y el de Misaki y Usui en la sala del consejo y ;_; Menos mal que tengo el siguiente tomo conmigo (aunque ya haya leído el manga entero lol) y podré empezarlo asap.

This volume was really sweet, and the character relationships really began to deepen from the superficial, silly narrative which precedes this volume. I always have loved Misaki and Usui’s relationship dynamic and this time was no exception. Some of the really sweet parts from the anime were from this set of episodes so that was interesting to see the vision of the story from the manga perspective. Always a light, fun read!

In my reviews of the previous books, I was complaining about the lack of character development. I feel like this one is partly fixing that, which is definitely a good point, we get to understand a bit more our main protagonist.
I wonder where the story will take us next but the upcopming elections will for sure bring some trouble!

OH! Swoon!!! Misa and Usi get forced into connecting through love game trials. Misa is forced to notice her feelings..., where will this take them now? Also, Usi meets Misa's family and the tension between Usi and Misa's childhood friend continue. Loving reliving what I have seen in the anime, so far it is the same stuff from the anime.

This Bind up of this omnibus 4 was amazing. Volume 7 was everything the tension the build up of useui and misa was everything. I absolutely loved the last few scenes of volume 7 if you know you know😊. But volume 8 i was laughing, crying, and just having an overall great time. Everything about omnibus 4 perfection 😍😇

Finally I've reached the point where the anime came to an end! We get to see the special sweet moment shared between Usui and Misaki and I loved reading every single bit of it!
Also, one of my all time favorite scenes from the anime is in this volume as well. Usui and Hinata turning into literal dogs barking at each other always cracks me up!

Heck yeah they’re finally together together. I love this one and the small ways Misaki and Usui are changing for each other and for themselves. The absurdity is getting really fun at this point. But I’m also ready for the big drama plot stuff to arrive.

The story is progressing cutely and I even have a little second male syndrome but not really. There’s something really funny about this two volume bind up. Plus, I really like Yukimura and Kanou.
