Eric look has always been a very good boy. He has made good use of his mild mannered personality and clean cut good looks. An honor student with a spotless reputation, it’s clear that there is a bright future ahead of him.

Jason “Clint” McClintock has always been trouble. With a devilish smile and the body of a Greek god, he has earned his reputation as a hot head and a womanizer. His wild ways kept him, and anybody around him, in trouble. Nobody is sure what his future looks like, and he could care less.

Through some trick of fate Eric and Clint have been best friends since they were thirteen. Since the day they met they have been inseparable. Whether they were fighting off bullies or escaping from one of Clint’s annoying ex-girlfriends, they remained an unbeatable duo.
Despite being complete opposites in every way, their bond had been unquestionable for more than eight years. They were closer than brothers and the best of friends; but that all changed one drunken evening. When Clint lands in hot water after starting a bar fight and Eric sacrifices himself to save him, they both question how deep their bond really goes. Are the feelings between them more than friendship?

Separated for the first time, they both wrestle with the longings they never knew they had. Once they are reunited they find themselves in a torrent of carnal heat. Will Clint convince Eric to put down his defenses and embrace the passion building between them? Will Eric’s timidity and inexperience make them both rue the day they gave in to the feelings growing between them?

The lines between brotherhood, love and lust have never been as clear as we would like to believe. Once you decide to cross them and give in to your urges, can anything still remain?

This one actually held a bit of potential. These two had shared a friendship for a number of years, but never a bed... until now. After Clint returns after being in hot water, he is all over his feelings for Eric. But for Eric, he doesn't want his encounter with Clint to come with regrets.

A steamy first time m/m erotic short that was actually pretty decently written. There was far more story than just sex, which was a plus.

Not 23 pages, there are 21 Chapters so I was expecting a quick 'guilty pleasure' mm read but ended up with a really good surprise read. MM romance, even tho' it was 'hell yeah sex' it was not just of the flesh story. The reader is given what I think must be common trials a gay couple could face even in the enlighten present day but it also is not just about being gay it is about being in love. Looking forward to reading book 2.

What's the point? Story is three chapters, starts at 12% finishes as 90%

Characters are hard to tell apart, story isnt long enough. I'd guess late teens, ones a soldier an investigation is mentioned but not taken seriously.
Really they're too young and feckless and the story to short to raise a care.

A chapter sort of introducing them
A chapter to show they're not very nice
A chapter of sex

Didn't like them, don't care.

Great book! The MCs had great chemistry and being childhood best friends made the story even better. They love each other. They understand each other. Being together in a committed relationship will take work just like any relationship and they want each other enough to withstand anything. Can't wait to read Book 2.

I have to say as s free read I throughly enjoyed this short novella. Clingy is your everyday bad boy who just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Clint lands himself in trouble one night in a bar fight. Causing Eric to take the rap for him in order to keep Clint from getting into further trouble. Being sent away to a ROTC training camp Clint had several months to reflect on his relationship with Eric. He realize Eric loved him more the friends. Otherwise he wouldn't have put Clint's future ahead of his. Face with this answer Clint is determine to take their relationship to the next level. A definite must read. Only wish this was longer.

Great story. So dramatic! It had me in tears one minute then smiling the next. Eric was just so sweet and he and Clint's friendship was wonderful. Their love proved emotionally charged to the point of violence. Betrayed relationships and hurt friends led the story into a sort of darkness that just about broke your heart. Forgiveness eventually brought the characters back together and delivered a long awaited HEA much to this reader's delight. I adored this book and appreciate how well the story is brought to life. I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

I’ve already read few parts of „More than Friends” earlier when I joined Jerry’s newsletter, so I thought I had some idea about full story. But I gotta say I did not expect that kind of twists in the plot. I loved extended version!!! It was great to learn more about Clint and Eric. They had some jumps on the road, but came out of it stronger.
I felt for them, my heart ached for them and I was cheering for them all the way.
Totally worth reading :D

I really like that Eric and Clint were up front with one another. I think Clint had to bring Claire in because he was not sure of his sexuality at the time and he had to experiment . I believe that everyone goes through that stage at some point in their lives.

It is part of who you are. I recommend this book everyone whether you are straight, gay, or bisexual . We all go through the same thing in our lives.

Soooo short

This reads like the outline to a great book. It's fine but it definitely needs some fleshing out and it could use a flashback or two as background for the character development and the storyline. All in all I would reread this one but I am likely never going to purchase the best in the series unless it turns up as a free read; there is just not enough story to justify paying for a story that is so bare bones.

This book was a dud for me. There were flaws in the writing, confusion in the scenes where I couldn't tell who was who and overall no connection made between the two main characters. Sure, they were friends since childhood, but for the life of me I could not understand their relationship. It was all very odd in the way it was set-up and I just could not get behind it.

On to the next!

My reason for giving this just 1 star even though i enjoyed the story is because for me 3 chapters isn't even a novella let alone a story. It had a lot of potential to be such a great story but really 3 chapters and that's it ??

Really short story about how two friends hook up. Not really sure what will come of it and dunno if I'll read book 2, it was literally just a 15 minute read about friends.
