We are all touched by the threads of destiny. It is how stories are woven.

After the sky was split asunder. After the Djinn burned the sea into the crystal sands of the sa’hraa. After the footsteps of angels left valleys so deep that even their tears could not fill them. There stands a city. And a long loneliness.

Alone, the walls of Baghdad have sung for ten thousand years. A final wonder and refuge against endless storms. A brass city built by the Blessing and powered by the steam and song of the ancient Sah. Its walls weaken and its rulers grasp at immortality, beating their bodies into twisted automatons.

Alone, a scholar reads by dwindling candle and burning hope. She is cursed with a stolen gift. And a terrible truth. The Ruh, the soul, is fading from this world. Her journey will lead her through old legends and twisted schemes. But first she must marry a monster.

Alone in the vast desert sands stumbles a man, lost to memory and forgotten by fate itself. Every wish he makes damns him. Desperately, he searches for an answer. His only possessions? A relic of a forgotten world.

And a strange talking rock.

Of Soul and Steam sounds like a fascinating fantasy adventure filled with rich world-building, ancient legends, magical mysteries, and unforgettable characters. The imaginative vision of a brass city inspired by Baghdad, combined with djinn, destiny, and a mysterious talking rock, makes this story especially intriguing. I love the originality of the concept and the sense of adventure promised by the description. This looks like a wonderful read for fans of epic fantasy and immersive storytelling. I’m looking forward to discovering more of this unique world
