The story lines were intriguing and suspenseful. I found myself staying up late to see what happened next. The spiritual element was an added bonus. I like that it wasn’t too preachy but showed an honest relationship with God, that sometimes I’m les wavering and doubt. I like the fact that the three stories are standalone.
Binge-worthy❣️You are hooked as soon as you start reading... Very anxious to read more . . . Next please🐿️ More and more difficult to put down . . .
Please do not abuse the word HOLY. This word belongs only to Almighty God. Sadly loses 1 🌟 due to the author's abuse of the word *Holy*. This is blasphemy and is NEVER acceptable especially from a professed Christian
Last in the series of the Crittendon Files doesn't disappoint! Having lost his job as reporter in book 2, Jack works in security with EventPros. He's made friends with Brian Shakespeare, a former Marine & survivalist. A terror threat at the arena they're working at comes in against a presidential candidate. Gripping & emotional, Jack's pregnant wife gets caught in the turmoil at the arena. A page turner from the beginning, you'll stay up late wanting to know "who dun it!"
I am glad I bought this box set when it was on sale & received all these at one time. I especially liked books 1 & 3. These stories had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. You have to read these in order also to fully appreciate the storyline. The 3rd book is like ripped from today's life: a politician who looks like a good guy but? It has a big surprise ending!!
An interesting story with a lot of religious, hmm well, it’s almost a religious book, woven around a family with other families and people as well. Unusual. I only read one book. I’m not reading more, as my religion is Christ based, but isn’t like the ones portrayed in the book. It’s up to you.
These books were amazing. Funny thing is, at the beginning of this last one I almost stopped. It ended up being a fantastic book. I really liked all of them. The suspense was excruciating some times.
I loved the suspense! The difficult situations the whole family dealt with through many ordeals was very true to life. Amazing how they each had to work through their feelings and put their dependence back on God regardless of what happens.
And throughout the series God is shown as faithful. Author provided suspense, romance and characters with their own struggles in books I could not put down. What a great imagination!
Mapes has done it again. This Christian suspense is full of twists and turns, causing you to stay on the edge of your seat. The book is also stimulating to the imagination, allowing the senses of the reader to become engaged. Well done.
Cresting Mapes is an excellent author who doesn’t need foul language or sex to keep the reader riveted to the story. This was a really great series from beginning to the end.
Talk about exciting! These books just didn't stop , and it was hard to stop reading. The Christian characters in the book were an inspiration in this crazy world.
Just when you think you're on track, Mapes throws in a twist to his riveting, edge of your seat story. He has become one of my favorite authors. Another great read!
All three books were very well written and kept you captivated throughout each story. Each of the books were equally intriguing. The last book was a little bit more confusing because it shifted from the past and present so much. I did like the Christian aspects in all three books. The first one dealt with forgiving those who have harmed you. It showed that hatred poisons you more than it poisons the person you hate. It is definitely not easy to do, but it is doable with God's help. The second book shows you what happens when money is more important than doing right. It showed that the Christian who stands up for what is right is always doing the right thing. God is with you and beside you all the way. The last book dealt with trusting in God in all circumstances. Almost all of the characters had to deal with several excruciating circumstances. To keep trusting in the bad times is the most important thing we can do. God saw them through the bad times and he will with you too!
Recommended by a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Fast read liked the ease of faith Incorporated into the lives of the characters. There were parts that I wish could have been more in depth but overall still an enjoyable read. Personally, felt a Connection having a father that was a newsman and a son that was born with an inner cranial bleed. Would have preferred the baby to have had a more realistic outcome (alive but with some complications such as epilepsy) but understand why it was presented as such.
I am always on the lookout for good series and love to read books that don't have bad language, sex scenes etc., in them! I can depend on Creston Males to deliver that along with great characters and plots! Thank you!
These were real Christian books not secular books with God thrown in three times and tagged as Christian books. The characters struggled but in the end looked to and trusted God, just like any true believer would. Thank you Creston Mapes.
I really enjoyed this series. It is suspenseful and full of twists and turns. It is Christian based but it isn't in your face. This would be a great series for new Christians as well as for those of us that just enjoy his work. Anything is possible.
I really like this author but I just couldn't get past the parts of this book where the husband is portrayed as a bad guy for purchasing a handgun to protect his family.
Loved the stories. The last one was especially good. Very prophetic on things on topic in story though written some time ago. Definitely worth reading. D Good author.
