Learn to use inexpensive but powerful tools to improve your writing, organize your plot, and take your writing career to the next level. Note: This is not a technical tutorial, but an explanation of techniques used to make the most of the software. Ownership and basic knowledge of the Scrivener Application is required. The book assumes you’ll start on a Monday and take weekends off.
Stephanie Draven lives in a city of ravens and purple night skies with her favorite nocturnal creatures. And when she is not busy with dark domestic rituals, she writes her books.
This is a great workbook for plotting your book in Scrivener. Stephanie Draven gathers a number of different plot schemas to work with as you plot your story, which allows you to pick and choose which method is best for your current WIP.
This book does an excellent job of presenting multiple strategies for plotting your novel. Overall an easy read, with some good Scrivener hints that I wasn't aware of, despite 4+ years of using the program.
Great book for writers, especially noobs who are intimidated by story design or the use of Scrivener. Ms. Draven cracks both open in short order so that you shan't wait any longer to take advantage of both. The month part is a literal schedule of things to do, which will help immensely.
This book covers several different plotting techniques very well, and has a wealth of scrivener tips and techniques. It does suffer from lack of editing in parts, seems to have a lot of white space, and many screen shots aren't usable due to not being at a good resolution. But the pros well outweigh the cons and it's well worth the few bucks spent on it. I liked the overviews of hero's journey, snowflake method, etc but the screenwriting technique was way too much complexity and work for me to consider.
So glad this book is made available for Scrivener users
This is the best book that I could find on this topic, so I am very glad to have it as a resource. I use Scrivener on a PC, and I would have liked more direction related on how to outline using Scrivener on my Surface laptop. If that would have been the case, I would have rated it with five stars.
