To the outside world, Claudia Stevenson has the perfect life: a fulfilling marriage, two gorgeous children and a successful career. But behind closed doors she is living her own secret nightmare. A verbally abusive relationship has left her with more questions than answers, more self-doubt than self love. An unintended love triangle threatens to destroy her world as she knows it.
An unexpected turn of events leads her on a path where she will watch her life turn on its head in a tragic twist of circumstances that will leave you breathless and gasping for more.
Based on a true story, Four in the Morning is a story of love, tragedy, forgiveness and redemption and is dedicated to a family whose lives were left shattered in the aftermath of events that will never be fully understood.
A deeply sad but at times repetitive book. More touching because it's based on a true story. I wish the ending had been different. Wasn't a big fan of the song lyrics. Read from cover to cover in one day, and it stayed in my thoughts when I was forced to put it down.
An absolutely intense and gripping read, from start to finish.
The imagery utilised throughout this book takes the reader on an unforgettable journey, while keeping them continually immersed and mesmerised by the continual unforeseeable events that are only ever a few pages away from unfolding.
Although this is the first book by this author, there is no doubt it will not be her last. An impressive and memorable literary journey, for those who enjoy a well structured, riveting read.
Wow! What a book. It has been a long time since I was so enthralled reading about someone’s life and experiences. The author has a special ability to describe events in such a way that the reader can personally feel the emotions and be affected by them. She has a lovely flow of words and good use of the English language. This is a beautiful, modern love story and I was sorry when I read “THE END”. I have no hesitation in recommending this book to both male and female readers.
I really enjoyed the book. It made me cry and laugh. The ending was lacking I'm not sure if it's not what I wanted to happen or if it just faded in the end too quickly. but a beautiful story and a easy read.
