Awesome story! Sam is growing both arcane and magically. This excellent story has bits of the seer/future in it. Arden has been a bit of thorn in Sam’s side but in this book she plays an important part in saving her. Sam on the other hand is going to get rid of an enemy and protect Cryws. Lots of changes are occurring and there ar plot twists but this is a riveting story! I highly recommend this book and the series!

Finally! It took her 5 books into the series to get it right. Better late than never, I guess. I still get irritated at the pigheadedness...storming off without hearing the facts...refusing to answer the phone...its a bit unbelievable, other than that, this was much better written.

Good book, but...

This Book 5 of the Eldritch Files series gets a 4 star rating. It is my least favorite of the series so far as it seems to have so much darkness in it that's directed at Sam. Yes, the main plot line works out and gets resolved in the end, but its time for Sam to have some sort of a "normal' life for at least a little while. Still, I'll read the next book just to see if Sam does get to get on with her life a bit without all of the dark drama.

More great stories

I realize that fantasies are not everyone 's cup of tea, but I appreciate when someone's imagination creates dimensions other than our own. Phaedra Weldon's books just get better and better. Sam encounters challenges and keeps getting stronger in her power. Thanks, Phaedra!

I have a hard time putting down my Kindle after I start reading an Eldritch Files installment.
I almost overlooked these books because I wasn't a fan of the 'Wraith' series. This has become one of my favorite 'comfort' urban fantasy series, right up there with Yasmine Galenorn's books.

Sam needs to figure out how to master all five of the elements and so far she has only mastered four, Spirit still isn’t her strong suit. The Arcane seems to be working with her not making her crazy so that is one positive in her life. Crwys keeps having weird dreams that seem so real and Sam just isn’t herself.

The fifth book of the Eldritch Files was full of surprises. Probably the best book in the series that I have read so far. I love when I can’t figure out all the story lines when I am reading. It keeps me intrigued and glued to the book. I look forward to continuing this fantastic series.

Ok, I know I said that book 4, Elemental Flame was my favorite so far, but I have to take that back. Elemental Soul, simply rocked it. One of the reasons I have always enjoyed serials, as opposed to stand alones is (of course partly because this means more and more stories to come), but also because of the character development. Each character in this series has grown tremendously from the first book and not just in the powers they wield, but their personalities and strengths.

I am so glad that I stumbled upon this amazing series. I really can't say enough about it, if you love paranormal reads, then please, do me and yourself a favor and start reading book 1. You won't regret it and pretty soon you'll be powering through all 7 books as I am. I don't want to though, because it does mean that the end is in sight (? or maybe there will be more books in the future Ms Weldon?). But this is definitely a book where the characters stay with you long after you have put the book down and you find yourself wondering what they are up to.

The story of course does center around Samantha Hawthorn, elemental witch and her "coven". What I loved most about this book is seeing how everyone comes together to work on eviscerating an evil. Enemies become friends and we can see just what happens when everyone works together for a common goal. The character development is also strongly present in this book.

I had never heard of Ms. Weldon before nor had i heard of this lovely series called The Eldritch Files, but I am so glad that I have stumbled upon it. It is easily one of my favorite serials and I just might have to read it again in the future.

If I had to say one bad thing about it, it's that we don't really find out what The Eldritch Files are. So far, having read the first 5 books, I'm starting to get an understanding of what they are, but usually, you can figure this out (where the series name comes from) in the first book or two. Without giving spoilers, I'm fairly certain that I will come to fully understand them in the next book, but for the first 5 books, I was still wondering, what are the Eldritch Files and how do they relate to this series?

Otherwise, the writing is simply very good, and I can't wait to get back to it.

Elemental Soul was superbly written and I am so glad I finally read it. I was blindsided by the ending, because it was not what I was expecting! Phaedra Weldon did a phenomenal job bringing together the events in the last few books for Sam’s biggest fight yet. Facing Dionysus once and for all.

I highly recommend this book!

WOW….another great read! From beginning to end, it was intriguing, captivating, and hard to put down. I am so impressed that Ms Weldon has continually kept my interest throughout five books in a series. With some series, I lose interest due to ‘same story, different title’ kind of thing, or just losing interest in the stories. Not so with this particular series. I am very much looking forward to the last book in the series, “Elemental Storm, The Eldritch Files, Book Six”
