Unconfiscatable

Unconfiscatable is a debut thriller that fuses the intrigue of Steve Berry’s The Atlas Maneuver, the razor-sharp drama of Joey Hartstone’s The Local, and the technical depth of Cory Doctorow’s Red Team Blues.

They can take everything. Except his word.

Jed Rawls hid in the safest corner of the his sleepy Chicago trust-and-estates practice. Wills. Probate. Doling out money to his dead clients’ obnoxious nepobabies. He should have made partner years ago. He also knows exactly why he never will.

When a new client bursts into his office. Twitchy. Evasive. He shoves a sealed envelope into Jed’s hands and makes him swear to protect it with his life. Then disappears.

Inside isn’t a will.

It’s the keys to billions in Bitcoin.

Highly recommend. This book is a must-read if you like edgy thrillers laced with grit and just the right amount of humor. The main character is pulled into a tangled and troubled web of Bitcoin, government operatives, and cartel; as he wrestles his way through he is forced to face things he had buried deep to protect the people he cares about most. Joe Carlasare has set the bar high with this debut novel. Can’t wait to read the sequel!
