Princess Ellie is pony-mad! She even has Christmas stockings for her ponies! But her other plans for the perfect Christmas are going wrong… The present for her friend Kate hasn’t arrived, and everyone in the palace is in a flap about rehearsals for the King’s festive TV broadcast. Can Ellie and her ponies still make this the best Christmas ever?
I'm the author of more than forty books, including my successful Pony-Mad Princess series. I write for adults as well as children. and many of my books have been translated into other languages. My Amy Wild - Animal Talker series is popular in Japan, and the Japanese editions look fantastic.
I've always been pony-mad so it's not surprising that my favourite animals feature in many of my books. I even used my research for "There Must Be Horses" as an excuse to buy the horse I had always dreamed of owning. He's a Haflinger so he's a palomino who gets fat really easily.
I've recently started writing books to help other writers. "Plots and Plotting: how to create stories that work" has just been published, and I'm currently working on a sequel called "Scenes and Sentences". I'm also in the process of writing two more Amy Wild books so I'm very busy at the moment.
This is the first book in the Pony-Crazed Princess series by Diana Kimpton that we've read. It's a bit too saccharine for me, but our oldest seemed to like it and I am sure that we will read more. The story focuses on a fictional holiday that is similar to Christmas, but it includes members of the royal family running around in squirrel suits. Strange, but if it keeps our oldest reading and interested in reading more, then I'm all for it.
Princess Ellie's is crazy about ponies!!!!. She like to be in the stable more than in the royal palace. But the royal Jamboree is in two day. The is running out for princess Ellie. She doesn't have any present for her best friend, Kate. Its a great story to read.
