Lots of children love flowers but don't know much about them. This book explains where and how different flowers grow, what sort of flowers exist and what the largest flower in the world is, with plenty of other interesting facts about flowers. A beautifully-illustrated addition to the popular Beginners series with simple text children can easily understand. An essential addition to any family bookshelf. A great book to take to school and share with friends, or study alone for interest.

This book goes through different and explains how they are different it also talks about how they change (seed to flower). my first reaction to this book is it is at a great level for beginning readers. the illustrations are very good and help show the children how flowers are different and how they change. I would use this with 1st and 2nd graders because it is at a great level for them to not only read but also to understand. I would use this as an introduction to the plant life cycle and also as a preface to an activity where we actually plant flowers and watch them grow.

It's just that, I don't like flowers. I'm giving it three stars because I like the information that it had. I learned a lot from it.
