This is the best romantasy I have read in a very long time. I stayed up way too late reading it and woke up at the crack of dawn to finish it. I couldn't get on with anything else until I knew what happened. Nyra is one of my favourite female leads ever, she's chaotic, loyal and fierce. My favourite bits are where she antagonizes Krane, and his responses are scream worthy. I loved them together. The slow burn sexual tension between them is electric, and I cannot WAIT for the next book. K.C. needs to be crow-ned the new queen of this genre. An absolute must-read.

A fresh take on romantasy and a fantastic debut.

Hall of Crows is KC Fairbrooke's debut, and it absolutely blew me away. Romantasy is a genre we all know and love, with tropes we feel familiar with yet still grip us with every page. Hall of Crows completely flips those expected plotlines with twists, giving a fresh, new spin on enemies to lovers.

You're immediately thrown straight into the story, focusing on two sisters - who could not be more different from one another with their own strengths and weaknesses delved into throughout the book - and a man from their past who has finally returned after his exile. I thought he would be the MMC I'd fall for, and I did, but then we meet the villain and oh, boy... But the book is so much more than just the romance - it's the character development, the side characters that impact the MCs, the divide between the Quarters (individual kingdoms), the wonderful yet at times stressful journey we get to go on with each MC, the vivid details that make you really feel like you're there, and the magic that we get to learn more and more about as the story continues.

If you're looking for a romantasy with
• Powerful and strong FMCs
• Ancient, hidden magic
• Complicated relationships
• Sizzling tension that makes you shout "JUST KISS ALREADY"
• Morally grey MMCs - a smooth-talking trickster and cursed, winged "villain"
Then get your hands on this book!

The Crows have spoken—The Hall of Crows is a binge-worthy read. I finished it a few days ago, and I am still thinking about it. This book lives rent free in my brain. It gives "Hogwarts meets Haunted Mansion" energy.

The world-building, pacing, and character development were exceptionally clever. The plot kept me fully engaged and guessing, sometimes leaving me unhinged with anticipation. The complex magic system was also incredibly well thought out.

The characters are wonderfully written:

- Nyra is cheeky, witty, bold, and brave.
- Lady Quillian is a tough nut to crack—quiet, fiercely loyal, and majestic. There is no cost these two sisters aren't willing to pay for the ones they love.
- Luca is handsome, clever, and charming.

One of my favorite quotes from the book was: "But power doesn't sit quietly in the veins—it's a parasite. It takes, and takes, and takes from you if you don't keep hold of it."

I really appreciated the deep symbolism and the way the author names the unspoken things. What a fantastic debut novel by K.C. Fairbrooke. I enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend it!

WATCH. WAIT. REMEMBER 😍😍😍😍

Read this completely blind you won’t regret it!
