He has a bachelor's degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the Cairo University, a master's degree in Political Philosophy from the Sorbonne in France, and a PhD in Political Science from New York University. Proficient in French, English and Arabic, Dr. Al Kuwari spent many years in the diplomatic corps, having served as Ambassador to Lebanon, Syria and France. He was Qatar's representative at the United Nations and the country's delegate to UNESCO between 1970 and 1984. He has also authored a number of books and political and cultural essays in several Arab journals.

السيرة الفكرية لرئيس مكتبة قطر الوطنية -حاليًا- ووزير الثقافة -سابقًا- الدكتور حمد بن عبدالعزيز الكواري. سيرة فكر وثقافة، علم وعمل لرجل طموح، دؤوب ونافذ البصيرة.
يوثق فيها حكايا ورؤى شخصية من حياته العلمية والعملية في الثقافة والتراث وعمله في السلك الديبلوماسي ورحلته في عالم الأدب (وفي هذا المقام -ص٥١- تحياتنا أم تميم 🤍). سيرة ملهمة وثرية وممتعة لأبعد حد، وطبعًا تستحق القراءة. 😊🙇🏻‍♀️

حديث متفرق أو سيرة فكرية للمفكر القطري حمد الكواري. الموضوعات التي تحدث عنها في الكتاب تتنوع بين السياسة والتعليم وأثر الميديا وبعض الأمور الأخرى المتفرقة..

نار المعرفة
في الكتاب الذي امتدت ذكرياته على عقود قبل العودة لتأليفه وجمعه من الذاكرة التي تجولت بين المدن والمتاحف واستعادت الكثير من الوجوه والأفلام السينمائية وعناوين الكتب، يراوح المؤلف بين الماضي والحاضر، رابطا تحت عنوان "من المجلس إلى الميديا" بين الاتصال قديما وحديثا، ثم يلفت إلى لقائه في باريس مؤلف كتاب "الفكرة القاتلة"، نيكولا نورداس، وبين أن "الفكرة القاتلة مجاز يخيل في قصد صاحبه إلى الفكرة الخلاقة".

وضمن جدلية الهدم والبناء والموت والانبعاث تبرز دينامية العلاقة بين الأفكار القاتلة والأفكار المحيية لنار المعرفة، متمثلا رأي الصادق الحمامي الذي يقول إن "ظهور الإنترنت كسر الفصل الصارم بين الجمهور والنخبة"، وبالقدر نفسه عملت الشبكة العنكبوتية على "تهاوي مفاهيم كثيرة"، فـالمثقف "لم يعد يحتكر النقد أو إنتاج الرأي، ولم يعد له امتياز الإدراك الصحيح للواقع وفهم "الوعي"، "الزيف" الذي تغرق فيه الجماهير".
