I think this book earned every one of the five stars I’m giving it. It’s heartwarming, cute, hero and heroine I love and such a precocious little girl you have no choice but love.
Logan made a very bad error in judgment and it changed him to the core. He met a woman who only wanted him for his money. When he discovered this, the repercussions were terrible. He divorced her right away but it was too late. His father had a heart attack and died because of his wife’s criminal actions and because his older brother blamed Logan, he refused to have anything to do with him.
Then, four years later his ex informed him he had a five year old daughter and the ex would basically sell him his daughter for a huge sum of money. But Logan has lost all ability to trust anyone and doesn’t let anyone except his daughter see the ‘real’ Logan. But his ex isn’t through with him yet. She threatens to Sue him for custody unless again he forks over a huge amount of money once more.
And then he comes up with an idea. Katelyn. They’ve known each other for years; they went to the same high school. He was a senior star basketball player and she’s a shy nerdy fifteen year old with a massive crush on him. They hadn’t had any kind of contact for years but now they are in the same orbit again. In the first book in this series which I haven’t read — yet, his older brother, with whom he’s slowly rebuilding a relationship is married to her older sister.
And this is the plot of the story and all I’m going to say. If you want to know more, you will have to read the book. It’s available on KU and I predict if you do read it, you will love it.
This book had it all. I laughed out loud and I cried literal tears. (Doesn’t normally happen).
The FMC is an absolute queen. She is strong yet vulnerable without being weak of that makes sense. The MMC is the right mount alpha male without being a complete ant total A*^hole.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for book 3
I don’t even know how to describe the book. It was just a beautifully written love story. Lily thelittle girl in the book was just adorable. Katlyn and Logan were great together. Just a book worth reading.
I liked the first book in the series much more. There were just too many parts of the story that seemed too quick or didn’t make sense when you look at the sum of the whole. Still enjoyable. And a quick, cute read.
