From New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Best-selling author, Georgia Cates, comes a steamy new standalone novel.

Beau Emerson is no gentleman.

Those hazel eyes.
That filthy mouth.
That greedy, hard body.

It all equates to one thing. Irresistible.

One look and I know he’ll bruise my lips and scar my knees. He’ll give me the best nine days of my life while ruining me in the most beautiful way imaginable. And I’ll let him because he has the power to talk me into anything.
Except one thing.
Staying.

I have no choice. The things I desire from him will destroy me in the end. I want more than he’s capable of giving––something true and beautiful.
He can never know how much of me belongs to him. Too much is at stake.
Shh … don’t tell him he’s my everything.

My name is Anna James Bennett. And this is our story.

Indulge in simmering sexual chemistry, off-the-cuff dialogue that will make you laugh out loud, and a plot that will make your fingernails curl into your ereader with the drama. I loved Anna James Bennett's humor and real, girl-next-door personality — it was a fantastic match for Beau Emerson’s more complicated hero. Beau’s story was compelling and really hooked my emotions so when the plot unfolded in his and Anna James's story I was desperate for him to get his HEA. It was a nice change to be so invested in the hero as it’s more usual for me to just connect with the heroine, but I truly felt for them both! A five star read for sure!

The first half of this book deserves 5 stars,
but as soon as the book hits the 60% mark...
BOOM! Totally sucked.

This is one of these books that I can see people DNF'ing and my advice would be.... DON'T!! The beginning is okay...not great but still entertaining. After all, what's not to like about a polyamorous, sex freak and a vanilla girl hooking up at a hedonistic resort in amazing Jamaica where anything goes?

I think the story just needed some time to build, to lay the ground work and for you to see the relationship that is developing between the two main characters. Maybe there is too much focus on the hotel and the activities?

description

But just be patient and wait for it because it really takes off in the second half especially when we get Beau's POV. There's lots of yummy drama but there's also a lot of sweetness and I loved seeing Beau put himself out there.

And there is definitely plenty of steam but I think my favorite thing is the romance. When Beau calls Anna "Peach", I just melt.

There were some funny moments as well. It was great when Beau went to the book signing! I can totally see him being asked those questions. And some of the scenes between him and Preston were great, if not, a bit awkward.

I was a bit taken back at Anna's behavior especially after what had happened to her. I just didn't think she would go there.

I enjoyed Anna's best friend, Meredith, and her husband, Grayson. They had their own drama which was intriguing. I almost wanted a story about them!

Beau's family is wonderful. I loved Ashlyn and the bunny! And I think that GC could even write some more books about Beau's brothers!

The epilogue was really sweet and funny but I loved how everything worked out.

This is a standalone for now but like I said, Beau's brothers are pretty yummy and I wouldn't mind some books about them!

Eye rolling sh*t t be honest.

This book made me uncomfortable but it wasn't bad. I'm pretty sure a lot of readers will like this.
But I didn't. Not really. I guess I held out to the end because I was wanting to know after everything and all the sh*t if cheater girl and polygamy guy would end up together.
I actually hate the main girl. Naive, stupid, a f*cking cheater and in ultimate denial.
Main guy wasn't any better really. He just let the girl go without demanding answers. He says he can't live without her so he just starts up new polygamous relationship with two women to get off 6 months later...because he misses her sooooooo much.

Douche canoe. DO THEY HAVE NO SENSE!? Why would she keep a huge secret from him knowing his past the b*tch and why would he let her go and not f*cking fight for her the pussy. Jesus.
Rating would be 1.5 in the end.

I followed my heart and it let me back to her. Once my vanilla girl. Now, my forever girl. Our true and beautiful.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Indulge" and I was quite surprised when I realised that it was a standalone. In one breath, I was saddened that I was only going to get one book filled with the scrumptious Beau, but in the next breath, I was somewhat relived to know that I was going to get the whole story in one go. This book was a sexy romance with a few curve balls thrown in along the way. I loved reading Anna James and Beau's story and at times it was hard to put my kindle down. Each time that I did, I found myself itching to return to the story.

In the first half of the book, I really liked Anna James. She was funny, warm and easy to connect with. Things had been a little rough for her, so she was desperately in need of some happiness in her life, a chance to just let go and enjoy herself. I felt sorry for what had previously happened to her and I couldn't wait for something exciting to turn all of that around. She deserved something wonderful to turn her world upside down.
Beau Emerson makes me feel like a woman. A desired woman. His words. The way he looks at me. His body language. Everything he does is a huge turn-on.

Beau intrigued me from the very beginning, Yes, he was a sexy, alpha male and he acted so lovely towards Anna James, but I didn't think he could be trusted with Anna James' heart. I thought that he was only after one thing from her and although she seriously needed some action in the sex department, I really didn't think that he was the man for her. I was positive that she was going to be even more damaged than she already was. Even though Beau had heartbreak written all over him, I knew how difficult he would be to resist. With his gorgeous looks, his charming manner and his kinky desires, Anna James was tempted to ignore what her brain was telling her and follow her heart.
"This isn't love. Nor is it true and beautiful. But I want it more than my next breath."
The story really hotted up as Anna James and Beau explored their infatuation with each other. They shared a ton of erotic experiences together that resulted in me being green with envy. Beau knew exactly what he was doing in the bedroom. He was an expert in knowing exactly what to do to make Anna James throw away her concerns and dive into his bed. She had definitely found someone to make her happy, if only for a short time. Everything was going fantastically between the couple and I couldn't help but get excited for Anna James. They made a fabulous couple who shared a cracking sense of humour. Some of their banter made me chuckle. I can't remember laughing as much in other books by this author, I loved reading the brilliant one-liners that were added to the story.
Together Beau and I are the equivalent of a flame meeting gasoline. We burn so hot it's impossible to be extinguished. But with a scorching fire, someone always gets burned. I can't let it be me.
So there I was loving how everything was progressing in Anna James and Beau's world, that was until the first twist in the story happened and I no longer felt excited, instead I felt sad because of the what was happening between Anna James and Beau. As the story continued, I became upset with the direction that the story took and my feelings toward Anna James and Beau had completely changed. I was feeling angry towards Anna James and upset with what she was doing and my heart was breaking for Beau. Because the last few chapters switched from Anna James' POV to Beau's, I got to understand how much the poor guy was hurting and I just wanted to jump into the story to comfort him and also give Anna James a good shake to make her see sense.
Ours hasn't been a love story, as I thought. It's a fucking tragedy."

If you looking for a sexy story with a swoonworthy ending or the ideal book to read on the beach with a cocktail in your hand "Indulge" would be the perfect book.
A Strange, powerful force took hold of me. Its root weaving itself around my heart, body, and soul. And there it grew because she kissed my heart awake when her soul whispered to mine.
I rate Anna James and Beau's story ❤️❤️❤️❤️

4 stars!!

“Ours hasn’t been a love story, as I thought. It’s a fucking tragedy.”

Another book boyfriend coming up...be warned!! Georgia Cates always delivers a man with book boyfriend potential and she doesn’t fail on this one either, Beau really made this book for me.

AJ is just coming out of a divorce from her childhood sweetheart and her best friends decide to take her away with them to Jamaica as a celebratory/pick me up treat. The last thing on AJ’s mind is a holiday as she has too much to do but her married BBF’s are extremely persuasive. The final blow to AJ though is when she discovers that this is one of “those” retreats...a hedonism retreat. Her friends may indulge in that kind of bedroom activity but AJ is as vanilla as they come, but it works for this married couple and they won’t take no for an answer.

Beau, OMG I loved this guy, in the beginning we find out that he is a hedonist and has just come out of a polyamory relationship, albeit it wasn’t his idea and he had been the one that ended up burned. He has come to the retreat to get everything out of his system, literally, fuck it out of his system, but he didn’t count on meeting AJ the first night.

“This isn’t love. Nor is it true and beautiful. But I want it more than my next breath.”

These two are so opposite it is scary, but underneath you have a man that just wants normality and to be loved and a woman that really wants to discover her sexuality and to be loved too. AJ thought she had that with her ex-husband but Beau opens her eyes. These two together were seriously smoking, talk about the green eyed monster appearing!! Georgia Cates always delivers in the bedroom and this book is no different, seriously OMG. Beau is a man that knows what he is doing and this really was a voyage of discovery for both of them. AJ was like a flower bud just waiting to bloom and Beau was the gardener feeding her, watering her and making her blossom. It was beautiful to read. Beau had always been around like minded people and AJ was refreshing, but this was the first time that Beau had actually felt something, it was alien to him but he loved it and he didn’t want it to end.

“I’m stupidly in love with a memory, an echo of days forever gone.”

This book has some fun and witty dialogue too, I found myself laughing on more than one occasion but as with any new relationship there are always bumps in the road and this is no different. There are twists aplenty which, if you are soft sap like me will have you in tears but as this is a standalone you do get their whole journey, which I am actually sad about as I would love more from these two.

“My eyes pop open when I’m startled awake. No fucking way. That did not just happen...except it did. I just sleep farted. I turn to look at Beau to see if he heard me.

“Yeah. You did it so you might as well claim it.””

Georgia Cates always manages to draw me into her characters and as usual I was swept away with their story, this one was more sensual and erotic as you would expect considering the surroundings but at the forefront was always their emotional connection and that is something that I love in a book. While their time at the resort was brief you always had that gut feeling that these two would be in it for the long haul and despite the blind bends and twist and turns I always had my fingers crossed that these two would make it. It is an emotional ride and it does contain some pet peeves for some of miscommunication but it was understandable and believable. This was one book where I didn’t want to let go of the characters and I can easily see myself re-reading, even if it is just to get my fill of Beau.

“Together, Beau and I are the equivalent of a flame meeting gasoline. We burn so hot it’s impossible to be extinguished. But with a scorching fire, someone always gets burned. I can’t let it be me.”

I'm only giving this 3 stars because I was really enjoying it until I started reading reviews and then I found out that this is ABSOLUTELY NOT a safe read for me. I jumped into it because I have read Georgia Cates' other book series and have loved them. I should have known it was too good to be true. :( I am so upset right now. On to the next I guess...

Hypocrite heroine. Ends up a relationship because of cheating then cheats on her fiancée.
Hero is in a ménage relationship when heroine leaves because the good old trope: MISSCOMUNICATION. And, let's not forget she gets pregnant but leaves without telling the hero. And she's a teacher. So many triggers and nastiness.... What a gem

I hate hate HATE when an author creates conflict between the two MC's due to a lack of communication. I know it may happen in real life but I just don't like it.

What made it worse was the heroine's actions after said 'misunderstanding.'

3 stars for Beau and Beau only. I really liked Beau, he was loyal, patient and dedicated to the heroine.

Anna James on the other hand grated on my nerves. She let her best friend fly home alone after she was almost sexually assaulted on vacation because she was attached to a d*$k (same best friend who paid for her vacation), left said D(hero) high and dry after hearing false information without verifying, cheated on her fiancé with Beau(I hated Beau for that too), played hide and seek with him like a kid, hide pregnancy and baby from him and them cheated with hero on his finance(of course finance was very understanding because he knew she was in love with hero the whole time 🙄). So effing messy.

I hated Beau for that cheating too so he only gets 3 stars

Indulge is written by one of my favorite authors and I’m even more excited to tell you this may be my favorite book by her to date!

Meet Beau Emerson and Anna James Bennett. Both are at a resort for hedonists enjoying some time away from former relationships gone south. Beau and AJ meet on their first night at the resort and I’m excited to say, Beau surprisingly wasn’t at all what I expected him to be.

“Words are powerful. They can evoke countless reactions. Joy. Pain. Arousal. Make a heart skip a beat. Or shatter it into a million pieces.”

This book had all of the feels. Joy. Sadness. Arousal. Love. There were moments reading this book I felt my body shake from the feels. I experienced everything AJ did with her and Beau. He is officially my new dream husband and book BF!

For a while I wondered if I had another epic Georgia Cates cliffhanger on my hands and once I realized I didn’t, it was almost time to jump for joy! Instead, I grabbed a glass of wine and locked myself away to finish it. No doubt, this will be a wonderful re-read for me, and soon! ~ Heather, 5 stars

~~~
My ovaries exploded when I was done reading Indulge and it was all thanks to sweet, sexy, southern Beau Emerson. My goodness, did he have a mouth that he knew to use very well…in various ways!!
Beau just wanted to lose himself with one or two of the many woman at the resort he was at, to ease the pain he was enduring. Little did he realize, his trip and life would be turned upside down when his eyes meet Anna James.
Like Beau, Anna James was there to celebrate her divorce from her cheating ex, though, to be honest, she never thought she would enjoy a resort like Indulge. But, as it turns out, it would change her life forever!
Being a southerner all my life, I loved Anna James’ dialogue and her trueness to it; not being ashamed of it but embracing it, along with her strong belief in True Love! Oh, and Beau… My goodness, his southern-ness was so unbelievably sexy and hot as hell that I wished we could have gotten an entire book on just him! The banter between Anna James and Beau felt so real and natural that many times I felt as if I was there with them.
Like life, there is angst in here that had me sweating bullets, hoping it wasn't what I thought it might be but dammit, it was! So kudos to you, Ms. Cates on scaring the mess out of me and having me grip my tablet like my life depended on it. Because it did, I just had to get to the end!
A beautiful story of loss, passion, redemption and love conquering all things! I will be greedy and say I'm not ready for this to be the end of Beau and Anna James...please! ~ Kara, 5 Unbelievable stars
I really wish I could give "Indulge" 5 Stars , heck even 4 Stars but, once I hit the middle if the book it lost me.
The beginning is perfect. They are both staying at a hedonism resort. If you don't know what that means(which I didn't) it's a sex retreat. Anna is not into hedonist but, after a bad divorce her best friends take her went. Anna decides to go since she can drink and lay on beach. She doesn't have to be part of what her friends do.
Anna & Beau meet on accident when Anna shows up a restaurant that she really want to eat at but, when she gets there she is told she needs a reservation. Which is like 3 hours. I think. Anyway the Hostess offers her the choice of dinning with another single diner. And that is when she meets Beau. The click right from the start to having a fun and steaming time together. Having only nine days together Beau wants Anna to be his for the time they are there. Anna tell him it must be a Monogamous relationship or nothing and Beau is quick to say Yes.
Not only is Anna coming off a bad time in life so is Beau. He was betrayed so badly by his Fiancé. In my opinion Anna's divorce is a walk in the park compared to what happen to Beau.
So that is why when I hit the middle of the book that's when I got mad and the book lost me. Yes, there With a misunderstanding and Anna leaves Beau without an explanation. So I can understand Anna thinking that Beau betrayed her. But, what Anna does to Beau breaks my heart knowing that once again his choose was taken away from him. And Anna knowing what happen to him and turns around and hurts him so badly.
A year has gone by and Beau has tried to put Anna in the past he cannot. He still loves her. He finds out about a book his sister is reading that is basically what happen between Beau and Anna in Jamaica, he knows how to find her.
My beautiful big hearted Beau goes to NYC for a signing of her book and is finally able to get Anna alone and to talk to him. After letting Beau make love to her. Anna becomes such a bitch to him and is still hiding something very important that Beau should know about. Not only that but, she engaged to the same sort of boring guy she got divorced from. "Because he's safe" I could not stand Anna. She continued to be mean, awful to Beau.
Now if I go on I'll give the rest of the story away. But, I will say once Anna pissed me off is when I started skimming over the book. Yes it's a HEA but I don't know if I could've been as fast in forgiving as Beau way to her.
Of course that shows he is the better Person....
I am a huge Georgia Cates fan ever since reading her Beauty series. That one was a three part series read. This book was actually a full length novel with the couple's entire story from beginning to end. This was one of the first things that made this book different from her other stories.
Overall, I really liked the book and the main characters. I was a little nervous at first when reading the book because the heroine's best friend's are swingers and to help her cope with her divorce they take the heroine to a hedonism resort. However, all is well, because our heroine is a "vanilla" type of girl, as she refers to herself, often. Our hero on the other hand was in a polyamoral(?) relationship, which is three people involved in a sexual relationship. That ended badly for Beau and so he goes to the resort to screw away his troubles.
Despite Beau's lifestyle, the reader will really like him as a character. He is a sweetheart, just like most of Georgia's heroes. He is very charming and quite the dirty talker.
Our couple meet at dinner one night and their story really begins. They decide to spend the week together (just the two of them). Anna James is a bit reluctant due to Beau's previous lifestyle, but he is quite good at persuading her.
Here is where things start to differ from her other books, other than it not being a serial book, continued in another release. There is something that splits apart our lovers, leaving Anna James, thinking the worst of Beau. What gets me is that they are apart for over a year. This is what I wasn't a big fan of, in that both of them sleep with other people, Anna gets engaged to another man and Beau goes back to his two women at one time lifestyle.
Now, before you go getting upset at Beau, the waited six months and he tried to get back with Anna, knocked on her door, tried to talk to her at a restaurant, she told him to stay away (based on this misunderstanding that split them up). He knew he didn't want to try the monogamous relationship with anyone other than Anna so he just caved and started the other relationships.
Well, Beau discovers that Anna has written a book about their time together and knows this is his chance to speak to her again, to get her to listen to him. He is deeply in love with her and wants another chance. This is when he discovers the secret Anna has kept for over a year...his son.
Long story short of it, they do get back together. Anna is engaged when they meet again and she does actually sleep with Beau twice while still engaged. Although, she never sleeps with her fiance again after sleeping with Beau.
So, again, overall, I really liked the book (stayed up late to finish it) but I didn't care for them sleeping with other people, or Anna betraying her fiance, especially because her husband had cheated on her. I dropped it a star for those things. I love a good secret baby child story and this one was good for that.
I'll look forward to her next release but can I say it is another serial book release and our couple stays monogamous to each other even when they are separated? Please and thanks! :)
I’m sorry to say this… but I really hate the cover. The girl in there is not the girl in the book. I think she’s photoshopped or something. Especially the hair! UGH! It’s hideous! It’s so fake. Well… the guy in there is super hot. *grin*
Note: Spoilers.
• So Indulge is a resort for something I–forgot –what –it’s–called–but–being–naked–is–okay.
Anna James Bennett is ‘forced’ to go there with her two bff. Why? Maybe to change sceneries… because her husband left her with their ex-student. Bastard.
• Here’s the story…
So she met Beau there and they obviously clicked blaby blah blah. They can’t keep their hands & clothes of each other. Blah blah blah. Then an unfortunate event happened then... she walked out. *roll eyes*
Months later, Beau found her… they got engaged and they lived happily ever fucking after.
• I wish he didn’t found her… So I can have Beau… *sigh*
• I just love figuring out what’s Beau’s real name… turns out…it’s not that special. But I enjoyed it.
I loved the first half of this book..and was so into their relationship, friendship, hot sex and connection..and then BAM it lost me..the twist that provides the angst didn't work for me..it was awkward and made the main character a hypocrite..and I had liked her. So it rounded out at a 2.5 for me..had the author stay a little more true to who these characters had become through being together it would have been a higher read for me. Asked at 40% I would have been recommending it, but for me it lost it's real ness by the awkwardness of he entire situation...
**I received an ARC of this book I exchange for an honest review**. Well, Georgia has done it again! I started and finished this book in one day...I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. It was THAT GOOD! Georgia does a great job with not only the storyline but the dialogue. There were moments I could not stop laughing....the rest of the time I was on the edge of my seat, highly addicted to this book.
Giving this book a five star review doesn't do it justice....It deserves far more than the five stars. This is by far one of my favorite books. This book is a stand alone book but don't worry, you are completely satisfied with the length...Haha. I will definitely be reading this again.
Note - this book should include a warning label that reading this may cause you to take multiple cold showers. It was freaking hot!!!!
I LOVED ANNA JAMES PEACH BENNET. PERIOD.
And do not make me start talking about Beau Emerson *swoon*. I was a little concerned with his tastes but after some chapters I realized I did not have nothing to worry about.
I felt the last chapters a little rushed and it made me feel frustrated but then the epilogue was perfect and I ended with a smile on my face!
I want more from the Emerson brothers, please!!!
~ 5 True and Beautiful Stars ~
"Welcome to INDULGE, where your fantasies meet reality."
INDULGE is a totally Indulgent read!!! This book was so good it totally deserved more than 5 stars!!!!
This has to be the BEST Georgia Cates book I've read to date, and that is saying something since I Loved all her other books. She knows how to create a story that has it all. This book has got to be the steamiest of Georgia's books. You will definitely want a fan and cold drink with you when you read this book. This book totally sucked me in. I loved the storyline and the characters she has created in this book. The pace was fantastic and the writing flawless. I read this book in less than a day, because it was so good I couldn't put it down. Georgia had me laughing, swooning, crying and even rolling my eyes at times. I love when an author can do that to me…it shows true talent!!!
In INDULGE we meet Anna James (AJ) and Beau. AJ just came out of a crappy marriage and her best friends give her an all paid trip to Jamaica with them to the resort Indulge. She hesitantly goes along, because her friends are swingers and live a different lifestyle than she does. Indulge is an all inclusive resort that tends to lean towards Hedonism and Polyamorous couples. Even knowing this AJ can't pass up a trip like this. On her first night she is alone and hungry so she goes to a restaurant on the grounds, finding out the wait is too long but she is able to be seated with another single diner, so she takes a chance and does that. This is where she meets Beau. What happens from here is a fun filled adventure into learning to broaden your horizons and try new things ( not all sexual ). I loved Beau right from the start!!! He completely stole my heart. He was a man with a very naughty mouth, but a heart of gold and he loved his family immensely!!! I loved watching both him and AJ grow into stronger people as their time together continued on. I don't want to say anything more because this is a book that everyone should experience on their own ;)
INDULGE is a standalone novel with a Happy Ending. It is told kind of in Dual POV. The first 12 chapters are told from AJ's POV and then there is a time jump and we get 6 chapters in Beau's POV, then for the last two chapters it is back in AJ's POV. The epilogue is in Beau's and I absolutely LOVED the epilogue. She finished their story amazingly well, so that the reader is not left wondering what happened to this couple. She did put a little something in the epilogue about Beau's brother Judd and I am hoping that is leading to a book about Judd. I would love a story about him :)
If you are a Georgia Cates fan then you DON'T want to miss this book!!! This is the best book by her to date. If you have never read a book by Georgia then what are you waiting for….Start with this one, you won't be sorry!!!!
2.5 Not my cup of tea at all. I had no idea what it was about when I started it. I almost didn't read it, but I wanted to be able to give it a fair review. The story was okay, but there were constant contradictions of behavior from the get go, combined with a slew of awful decisions I just couldn't get behind and it made me unable to like the characters. I would have liked it if the story had been more "vanilla" because frankly this story made me really uncomfortable. And I have read Georgia Cates before and I have scored one of her stories as a 5... I also don't do spoilers, but there are a bunch here.
First, I did not like the beginning at all. Hedonism and polyamory are absolutely not my thing, whatsoever. I feel like the main character Anna James is completely contradictory through her entire "vacation". She constantly says what type of a girl she is while behaving in a completely opposite manner. And I'm not convinced that sex for 8 days is a way you fall in love. It was too much too soon.
Continuing to drink heavily knowing there is a chance you may be pregnant, taking some creepy lecherous persons point of view before talking to someone you've decided to care about, not telling someone you know deeply wants children that you're having his child, having another man step into his place, not choosing to tell him about his child, writing a very detailed book about your relationship and thinking he won't figure it out, cheating on your fiancé after having been cheated on...yah, can't like Anna James.
Beau was creepy at first. Picking up a non hedonistic girl, not really trying to control your urges even though you think you want more with her, talking about some pretty heavy baggage but never mentioning your poly relationship wasn't your idea, getting a girl high and not using protection- and not realizing it, then jumping into another poly relationship while in love with someone else...so lame. But he redeems himself by trying to be an awesome dad. Then he loses all redemption when he knowingly beds her again while she still has a fiancé. Ugh, the first time was completely on her. The second time was gross for both of them.
Anyhow, the story was fine, but there were too many details I didn't enjoy.
2.5***
Was very intrigued by the description of this storyline and what I had read in reviews and couldn't wait to start it.
The first half held me captive but then it just went downhill and fast, I really struggled to finish it and I only did to see where things went.
Anna James divorce was finalised so her best friend Meredith and hubby Grayson thought it a good idea to bring her along with them to a sex resort. Meredith and Grayson are swingers but Anna only does singular relationships but decides to go along knowing they have strict rules that are followed at the resort. This is where she meets Beau, he is getting over a relationship too but his relationships are more the threesome types. How the MC's meet, get along and develop goes smoothly and very quickly they have lust and sexual attraction that they decide to give a relationship a go when they leave the resort.
This is where it wasn't so enjoyable to read, lots of things were starting to irritate me.
*Pills never seem to work
*How hard is it to communicate and confront someone to get answers!!
*Fight harder, you know they could be lying so don't walk away
*Swapped pov and a year later sucked
*Needed more Meredith & Grayson so much 1st half with their characters and the little near the end didn't satisfy.
*You might see something to make you walk away but they should be told!! He manages his lifestyle away from his sister and niece so why can't he make it work
*Enough with the full names already, I get so over repetitive words, I remember their names, I don't need it every few pages
*Did he go without sex for 6 months before finding a duo?
*12 month clothes for a 5 month old, hard to imagine
*And where did the name William come from? Twice Anna James says William Beauregard Emerson
*Writing didn't flow, was hard to keep a track of who was saying what
Ah I'm glad it's over. Love Georgia's other books but unfortunately not this one
Title: Indulge
Author: Georgia Cates
Release Date: August 4, 2015
Cliffhanger: No
Georgia Cates cranked up the heat in this vacation romance fantasy. This sexy new book from Georgia is the perfect INDULGEnce. Indulge goes from sexy to serious with an ending that will make you want to want book a trip. This book is sex on the beach…literally. One-click this one!
A little fun fact: By the way there is a real “Indulge”, and it’s called Hedonism. This popular Jamaican vacation hot spot for swingers is alive and swinging. I have two friends who visited Hedonism a long time ago. One friend came home and needed penicillin shots and was hospitalized. Then there are the pictures my other friend took on his trip. I have seen them...I can't unsee them.
It was a refreshing book...the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is all the drama lama towards the end that it's totally avoidable if the characters would just talk :)
Georgia Cates' writing always pulls me in from the very beginning of the storyline, and she did it again with Indulge. The idea of hedonism is a concept explored often in the books I read, and Cates examines it in a very interesting way in Anna James and Beau’s story. What I love most about her insight is that she provides all sides of the relationships/sex involved, giving a full view of what's involved and the situations that can lead people to these kinds of sexual practices or lead them away from them because the lifestyle can cause problems between couples.
Beau Emerson chases pleasure, which is why he frequents the sexual playground that is Indulge, but Anna James is as vanilla as they come, or so she thinks. Cates does a great job of illustrating the attraction that’s between them from the start while also providing readers with Anna James’ conflicted emotions because she knows nothing can happen with him because they have very different thoughts about one on one relationships. Anna James is a forever girl and Beau indulges in much more carnal activities, so she knows she’s setting herself up for heartbreak, but her lust and need for him overrules her logic.
Georgia Cates definitely knows how to write sex scenes that are both sensual and animalistic; she’s able to convey in words the pleasure her characters experience as well as what the connection does to their heart as well.
I enjoyed Indulge immensely; it has the steam, angst, and heartbreaking situations that readers have come to expect from Cates’ stories, but I admit, I would have liked to get both Anna James and Beau's perspectives throughout the book, not just in chunks. I feel like I missed out on some vital insight because I didn’t have both of their views in all that occurs between them. I wanted to understand Anna James and Beau’s reasons for making the decisions that they do, especially in the last half of the story, but it was difficult to do so in a few situations.
Overall, though, it’s another great story with complex characters from Georgia Cates’ fabulous imagination and I can’t wait to see what she has for her readers next.
