“I’ve done everything wrong, Finn. From day one. It was the only way I knew how to be with you and still be worthy of you. But I see now that I never really was.” --Callan

Vengeance. It’s the one thing on ex-cop Rhys Tellar’s mind and he’s spent every day of his two year prison sentence planning how he’ll bring down the former lover and partner who sold him out and cost four people their lives. A six month parole stint working at the CB Bar Ranch in Southwestern Montana should be the easiest thing he’s ever done. But the last thing he expects is to feel something for both the charismatic ranch hand who befriends him and the enigmatic foreman who’s pretending to be something he’s not.

A future. That’s what Finn Stewart wants, but to have it he must leave behind the man he wants above all others, his very straight boss and best friend, Callan Bale. As the only openly gay man in a small, homophobic community, Finn has to fight every day to be who he is and walking away is starting to seem like the easier path. Until Rhys Tellar shows up and changes everything.

A Lie. Callan Bale’s entire life has been about hiding the man he really is and it’s about to cost him the one person who’s managed to worm his way past the walls he’s spent years putting up. But choosing Finn would mean giving up everything he’s worked for and breaking the promises he’s made. At least losing the younger man to Rhys means Finn can have the life he deserves.

Three men. Three choices. One chance at finding home.

Note: This book contains M/M/M sexual content and is intended for mature audiences

I had skipped this book because ...well because I could and I am known to read books out of order :)

One of the reasons I skipped this one is because it's a mmm and those tend to make me a bit nervous and because the reviews were a bit mixed. I played it safe and started with book 2 and got hooked on Sloane Kennedy. Since then I have read every single one of her mm and mmm books and I decided to finally give this one a go.

I liked this one, even though this book isn't my favorite and some things bothered me. One of those things was the fact that I think these men spend too little time actually being together...the three of them. There was Finn and Rhys and there was Callan and Rhys, but there wasn't a whole lot of Finn, Callan and Rhys. I think the other mmm books by Sloane Kennedy were much better because in those books the focus was always on three men, not just two. I still enjoyed reading it though.

I mean we do get 3 cowboys !!! Well technically it's two cowboys and a former cop, but since he is also working on the ranch...he is a cowboy to me :)

I'm gonna give this one 3,5 stars, but since Sloane Kennedy has become one of my favorite authors, I'm gonna round this one up ;)

I can't wait for book 5 in this series, which will be another mmm I think, about Quinn, Beck and Brody. Correct me if I'm wrong though :)

Exhausting. I skimmed from about 65% when the book was exploding into sex.

I dunno how gay guys cope! - shirtlessness, catching a man's eye, hear a husky voice and Boiiiiiiing erection! Even shovelling shit leads to boiiiiing - finger licking (without washing hands!), erection bumping. It must be hard (pun intended) work getting through each day.

The boys, all three of them kept their erections going for at least 96% of the book. I was impressed! The other 4% was made up of shovelling shit, hefting an injured calf from place to place to place, meeting the new gay vet (undoubtedly a sequel) dealing with homophobes and a shit-tun of angst.

Finn is a sweet kid, with a sweet mouth, suffering against a whole load of hatred.
Callan is the brooding ranch owner suffering over his past.
Rhys is an ex-cop/ex-con suffering from a betrayal.

There's homophobia by the village full, dementia and past rape.

The books covers about a week, the boys spill their problems at a glance, erections strain for the entirety, deep ingrained views are challenged and everything ends happy. The end.

It was entertaining and amused me, until I reached my limit at the over-the-toppness of it all. The shift to feelings and understanding seemed sudden. The angst stopped this being a fun light read, yet was only ever surface deep.

This book was awesome. Perfection!
I've been wanting to read a good m/m/m story for so long, but being a pretty jealous person I just can't stand a plot where a couple picks up a third guy to improve themselves. I always tend to think if you don't work out together, what should a third guy change about that? Besides, sometimes such stories tend to become a sex fest and that's not really what I am looking for in a romance.

But this story is totally different. It embodies everything that I expect from a threeway relationship.

Rhys is a cop in his late 20s who just spent two years in prison. He's out on parole and if he manages to stay employed and not get into trouble he may walk away as a free man after 6 months. After several tries to keep a job (his temper is not exactly the best), his parole officer offers him a job as a ranch hand in some remote Rocky Mountains town where the employer 'doesn't ask too many questions'.

Finding himself on his way to the farm, walking under the hot Montana sun, a truck stops for him and picks him up. It's a fellow ranch hand, Finn, headed for the same farm where Rhys is looking for work. Rhys immediately likes the handsome young 19 year old and hits on him. To his surprise Finn is gay too, but he's not going for Rhys' advances.

Rhys soon also meets the old farmer's 31 year old son, Callan, who is now running the farm, since his dad is suffering from a deteriorating mental condition. Callan is willing to give Rhys a chance, seeing as he doesn't have any other farm hands around to do the job, except for Finn, whom he is acting strangely protective of.

Rhys takes in the strange situation on the farm and quickly realizes what's going on beneath the surface:

These guys are like three puzzle pieces that only become one when all three of them are together. This is *exactly* how I picture a threeway relationship.

And yes, the sex was sizzling hot, OMG. What's better than two hot guys? Three!! I am surprised that I was even able to follow whose hands went where at any given time. The logistics of a threesome are certainly a challenge for any author, I guess. Truly well done!

description

And, strangely enough, my favorite scene was when Rhys and Callan went to town with a bleeding calf that got stuck in a piece of fence that was cut by those homophobes, all bleeding and in pain - and that bigot vet refused to treat the animal!

"Jesus, are you fucking kidding me?" Rhys shouted. "You'd actually let this animal die just to spite someone you don't like?"
"Rhys!"
Rhys turned to look at Callan, frustrated that he wasn't doing anything. But then reality set in - what was happening wasn't new for him or for Finn. They lived this every day - had been living it for two years.

There was just one elderly lady who stood up for Rhys and Callan - and I swear to God, this "Mrs Greene" character was Betty White herself. Take a look:

"Mr Bale?"
All heads turned to see the old woman from the parking lot standing just inside the doorway, the brown dog cradled lovingly in her withered arms. "You're Dolly's nephew, right?", she asked Callan.
He nodded, stiffly, clearly readying himself for another attack.
"There's a new vet who just moved to town last week. He's not set up or anything yet, but maybe he can help you. Dr. Winters. He's at Humphries place. You know it?" she asked.
Callan was already moving towards the door. "Yes ma'am. Thank you."
"You go on now and I'll give him a call to let him know you're coming," she ordered as she marched up to the reception desk and stood on her tip toes so she could reach the phone.
"Mrs Greene", the vet began, but she quelled him with a sharp look and he snapped his mouth shut.
"Wendy, be a dear and find me the number for Dr. Winters," she said sweetly to the technician who moved to do her bidding.

description
What a cool lady! She was such a relief for me after all the hate and bigotry these guys faced in that little town!

I am so in love with this story. Too bad it was a rather short novel, I could have read a lot more about these three amazing guys.

Thank you for this awesome m/m/m experience.
5 stars and a true favorite for me!

⭐ 3.8 "I'm finally getting the hype of threeway pairings" stars ⭐

When I first read that this one featured ranchers, a three way relationship and some sweet sweet angst?

description

Despite some nitpicks, I was not disappointed.

Following the pattern I'm already used to after reading Miss Kennedy's Escort series, this book also features a good dosage of angsty backstories, characters coming together to finally open up about their grievances and slowly healing their wounds.

...Plus a lot of steamy action peppered into it, which was hot but also had a nice emotional charge to it, making it come across like actual progress for the characters instead of just gratuitous smut (not that there's anything bad with that lol). The romance had believable chemistry and dynamic above it all for me, and somewhat sold me on the idea that these three were all needed parts of a whole.

As for the MCs, this story features Rhys, an ex-con who is trying to lay low by starting work on a ranch until he finishes his parole (and admittedly my favorite of the bunch), plus Finn and Cal, a worker and the foreman of said ranch respectively. If you are picturing hunky cowboys wearing ass-accentuating chaps while coyly tipping their hats… then your mental image would be ACCURATE.

description

The book didn't delve as deep as I would've liked into some of the backstories, which is the reason why my rating isn't as high as it could've been. It resulted in some elements feeling a bit "gratuitous" or like they were brushed aside too quickly for my taste. Because if you're gonna give such traumatic baggage to some of the MCs, then I'll be expecting a bit more healing than just a magical threesome to solve it all lol.

With that out of the way, though, I found the focus on the relationship was nevertheless delicious. As someone who rarely finds herself invested in polyamorous pairings (can't help but feel like someone is always either left out or gets the short end of the stick), I was surprised at how invested I was in these three men getting their HEA.

Definitely excited to continue with the series! The first book I read by her left a lot to be desired for me personally, but Sloane Kennedy is quickly getting me addicted to her stories.

I am not a big fan of m/m/m but I really liked this one. There were so many feelings, so much angst and love *shivers* and then such wonderful happy ending. The characters were diverse and well written, there were a couple of plot twists that made this book a very good read for me.

A virgin, a cowboy and ex-cop work on the same ranch... It is a thrilling and passionate story of three men in search of happiness, home and hope. They need to overcome homophobic prejudice, their own misgivings and deep seated fears in order to be together. Yes, the intimate parts were good, no doubt about it, but what I liked most was how Finn, Rhys and Callan interacted, how there was no jealousy and how they each gave the others acceptance. It was a little short but still packed great emotional punch. A very satisfying evening spent in company of Ms Kennedy's finest men! I highly recommend it!

So much hurt/comfort goodness.

-----------------------------------

I liked this! Even though I sometimes missed the depth of other Sloane Kennedy stories. Lots of things happened to these MCs before the book started and that made me feel like I missed out on a part of the character development.

Rhys has just gotten out of prison, where he spent the last two years after being framed by his partner on the police force. He had to get out of Chicago, so his parole officer arranges a job for him on the CB range in Montana.

When Rhys arrives he gets welcomes by a very cute guy. Rhys is sure he can get Finn on his back in no time, and tries his best to flirt with him. But when Rhys finds out Finn is only 19 and that he in love with someone else, he backs off. He still wants Finn, but he doesn’t want to hurt the young man.

Finn has been in love with Callan for years. But he is sure Callan is straight. Since they work on the ranch together every single day, it is clear Callen will never reciprocate Finn’s feelings.

When Callan catches Finn and Rhys kissing, Rhys is sure Callan is not straight. He sees that the older man definitely has feelings for Finn, but somehow hides who he is altogether.

When Rhys and Finn grow closer, something happens that makes Callan snap and he can no longer deny his feelings for the two men….

I really liked this. But I’m used to Sloane Kennedy writing extensive backgrounds for her MCs and reading about each of them. But here we kind of fell into the story immediately. That wasn’t a bad thing, but it did move a little fast for me at times.

But I loved how these guys got their HEA in the same town that treated them all so badly. Not everyone is a bad guy…

***** Good looking cowboys, interesting tale, hot ménage, and great characters. *****

Wonderful start to the series, with the beginning of a turn around for the homophobic town, and Callan stepping out of the closet. Callan runs the ranch, and Finn has worked for him since he was sixteen, when his family turned him away. Callan is open to hiring Rhys, who is on probation from his ex-cop life. The town is cruel. Finn has been harassed.

Much is happening, as we have a new Veterinarian come to town, and the mystery surrounding the cut fences, poisoned water at the ranch, etc. Deep characters that we like right away, and we see them develop a relationship, share histories, and cope with the events, plus super hot sexiness and the M/M/M ménage. I look forward to the next one.
Highly recommend ! ENJOY !!

4 stars!! Loved it!!😍 Continuing on with my SK binge read, I started the “Finding Series” with one of my fav story tropes: M/M/M 💕 And this certainly didn’t disappoint 😉💘
Callan and Finn are doing the best they can in a homophobic and prejudiced small town when Rhys joins them in their daily challenge of running the ranch. Rhys sparks ⚡️ an instant chemistry with both of them much to his surprise, but they go through a lot of turmoil both internal and external before they find their much deserved HEA together 😍
There is plenty of steam and heat between the 3 to burn the sheets.. 🔥🔥😍 and there is good amount of angst too, in addition to an unresolved mystery from Rhys’s past. Nevertheless, everything finally works out in the end and the trio find love in each other’s arms and a forever home. Highly recommended to all fans of Ms. Kennedy 👍👍

I really enjoyed Finding Home! It's an easy read and I liked the MC's. I did find myself asking why the hell they stayed in a town that clearly hated them for who they were. But, the hate was mostly coming from very few people.

The story was sweet and enjoyable and the bad guys got their comeuppance. And the sexytimes were suitably hot.

Thanks for the rec, Christelle!

There aren't that many MMM books out there. And of those not that many worth the time.
This one was.
It was a short, heartwarming story about three guys trying to find home. And themselves. And found each other in the process.
Sweet, beautiful Finn. The younger of the three, ostracized by the small minded people in town for being who he is. He's lost of sorts... doesn't know how to start living.
Hot, struggling Callan. Robbed of the chance to be himself by force, he's fighting a never-ending war inside himself, failing at finding the courage he needs to just be happy.
And sexy, strong Rhys. A man in search of a second chance to life. He gets to Cal's ranch looking for a job and after turning both Cal and Finn inside out, what Rhys finds is a home. In these two tortured, sweet, beautiful men.

They are so hot together that I want to read this all over again.
And it's a short story but still you feel the buildup to their feelings for each other. I think cause the story shares all of their POV, keeps switching. That makes you feel the connection to one another. And to you.
You get to feel how they saved each other, from themselves mostly. And they get a most needed and deserved HEA.

It was captivating. I loved every minute of it ^^

Overall book rating: 3.5
Audio Book: Michael Pauley - 4
Book Cover: 3.5

I’ll give it a 3.5, cause it’s a SK.

Though I did enjoy the story, I have to agree with some of the reviews that there are moments you just have to roll your eyes. The drama is stacked on high and the insta-love and all-is-well threatens to be overwhelming.

Now that that’s of my chest, the characters were endearing, as in all SK books you want to root for them and beat up on those who do them harm.

The threesome was hot, but again, too little ‘together’ time in my humble opinion for “I-love-you’s”

I will read the rest.

Very short read. Definitely some insta-love going on with this story, but given this books length, that did not surprise me all that much. I'm excited I moved on to this one and just skipped the last two books in the Escorts series because even though this book wasn't amazing, I liked it more than I was liking those books.

I can see how Sloane Kennedy's writing is getting better but I still don't think she's all the way there yet with this one. The characterization is still I think the strongest part and I think the pacing is the part that needs work. When I read Four Ever by her, I thought the pacing was for the most part pretty good. That book is a lot longer than these older books so I think if she would let herself write books where the plot takes longer to develop, the books would get a lot better.

The characters of Callan, Finn, and Rhys were good in this book. I thought they were interesting individually and I mostly liked them together though I did have some issues with some of their lack of communication. I know I say this most of the romance I've read recently but I do think miscommunication or lack of communication can be used successfully in romance, because talking about your feelings is scary, but most books don't pull it off like that. Rather than just being worried about talking about feelings, its always that someone is just too damaged, or if the love interest finds out about their tragic past they'll reject them, or something like that. It's those sorts of plots that bother me and make me just want to pull out my hair.

I will continue to read this collection of series probably. The books are super quick to get through but I'm probably going to prioritize other books first just because there so many other books I really want to get to.

***2.75 Stars***

This was a lower angst, quick, in-between read. While I did enjoy the novella and it had Sloane Kennedy's addicting writing quality, there really wasn't enough character or story development for me to truly sink my teeth into.

Also, this is insta all the way. In about two weeks time these guys are spouting I love you's and forevers. And it's even less than that if you count from when they actually got together. Especially, if you factor in that Rhys moved to town the day the story starts.

For an MMM, I think the chemistry balance was off here. I believed Cal and Rhys. I believed Rhys and Finn. And I kind of believed Finn and Cal. But Cal, Rhys AND Finn....I just wasn't 100% on board. It may have something to do with the fact that I couldn't get a clear picture of each guy in my head, especially based on their ages. Finn is 19, Rhys is late(ish) 20's, and Cal is early(ish) 30's.

As is usually my issue with most novellas, things veered into the express lane in the last quarter of the book. Everything was resolved too quickly and easily. Years of fears and prejudices just POOF gone.

But even with my issues, I still had a hard time putting the book down.

Sometimes you read a book written so poorly that the only thing left to do is laugh.

Hard.

 photo Gosling_zpsrl6mlnuq.gif

I mean seriously I can't stop........

 photo Funny_zpsyo2jozrg.gif

Ooohhh Boy.

The events that I'm about to share occur within a matter of days, so bear with me.

Rhys, a former ex-con, finds himself in rural Montana to work on a ranch that's apparently not doing well (for reasons that may be discussed later). While on his journey he catches a ride with Finn, a ranch hand/farmhand/what-the-fuck-ever hand, on said failing ranch. For Rhys the attraction is immediate, as such he's arrested by Finn's beauty.

"Hey-" he began, but then came to a stuttering halt when he saw the vision sitting in the driver's seat."

 photo eyeroll_zpsbfafphvd.gif

A few moments later Rhys meets Callan, the Ranch's owner/caretaker/foreman and also becomes immediately consumed by lust.......

"Rhys felt his body clench with need as grey-blue eyes met his."

The ruling theme here people is that Rhys needs a fuck and he needs it bad. As the story progresses I began wondering if this book fell under the fantasy or scientific genre, as electrical charges seemed to be always present during these MC's interactions. The current flared from within their bodies between 'heated stares' (not my words) and tense sexually charged moments and I'm left to decide whether I'm reading about Pokemons or X-Men.

Where is all this electricity coming from?

Are Finn, Rhys and Callan Aliens?

Are they Supernatural forces?

Are they meta HUMANS?

 photo gif_zps39x5c0pc.gif

**Sighs**

"Finding Home" was a tragedy. The characters were annoying, the plot was.......laughable and the sex was corny as fuck.

"Fuck!" Rhys shouted as his release shot through him without warning and he slapped the tile hard with his free hand to keep himself upright. The orgasm seemed endless as lines of seed coasted the shower wall and mixed with the hot water."

 photo Bored_zpsoe9ldouz.gif

To be fair that was Rhys giving himself a hand job but fuck it the sex in general did nothing for me but give me an eye twitch, it sucked ass.....(no pun intended).

To say that this was boring would be being kind, **shrugs** I didn't like it but maybe someone else will so whoever that might be......your tastes in books are shitty. You're welcome.

That's it folks, read if you dare, I'm done.

I love Sloane Kennedy but sadly I didn't love this book. M/M/M is always a tricky read for me because the balance of power in the relationship is very important to me and in this case I thought Finn got a raw deal, particularly from Callan.

Callan lied to Finn for years, let him suffer in silence while the entire town treated Finn like crap and all while secretly loving him yet this book was more about Callan bonding with Rhys instead of Callan fighting for Finn?!? Nope. I thought Finn should have left town and he def deserved better.

Added to this, the first half of the book was angsty af and I did have an issue with Finn being 19.

I still love the author and will continue the series.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it certainly won’t be the last. Sloane Kennedy has restored my faith in indie authors.

What really stood out for me was the phenomenal character development. The author has created three very different, and very real, heroes. I fell in love with Finn, Cal and Rhys, and all for different reasons.

Right from the start I was curious about ex-cop Rhys’s story. He never struck me as a bad guy. I figured someone had wronged him, but the reveal took me pleasantly by surprise.

Finn, OMG, how could you not just love him. He was young but had a maturity that belied his years. My heart broke for him when I read the story of his father’s abandonment, something that goes way deeper than these few words.

And Cal, wow, where do I even start? The emotional turmoil his story put me through was something else. I admired his commitment to his father, despite his old-man’s bigotry. Cal’s Aunt Dolly added a wonderful touch to the story. She was a person to behold!

While all three men had such different personalities they all deserved love and acceptance. And well really they all fitted together beautifully, was that a pun? Yes, there was sex, two-way and eventually three-way. Yes, it was hot as hell, but for me the erotic scenes were a byproduct of a much deeper story.

Then we have the sexy, new to town, doctor/vet, Dane and his baby daughter that added another layer to this intricately woven plot.

Having visited Montana many moons ago the setting was another bonus for me. The fate of the ranch is a pivotal part of this story, something I’m loathe to go into for fear of spoilers.

I can’t say enough good things about ‘Finding Home,’ and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy well developed plots and characters. As per the blurb it can totally be read as a standalone. But if you fall for Dane as much as the other characters you’ll be diving head first into book two, which I’m off to do now.

Copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars.. four stars for the writing but three stars for the plot.

Nothing about the plot stands out much for me here. It was a fine read and the writing was good and easy. Cal was the ranch owner's son who had a bit of a trauma from the past and deep in the closet. Finn was his childhood friend and had a huge crush on Cal. Rhys was an ex-cop and on six-month parole working in the ranch after his two years prison sentence. The story takes place in a disgustingly homophobic town in Montana where Finn was growing up being despised for being out of the closet. If you are looking for some hot and steamy cowboy romance, this is the book for you to try.

Being treated as an outcast in your own town would drive most people away, but some would stick it out for a number of reasons. Finn's was simply that he has nowhere else to go and he lacked the confident to strike out on his own...so he took all the homophobia and abuse those people will doled out. But another reason for staying was because there are people who care enough to stand by him, no matter what the cost. For Finn, that person is Callan Bale. Callan is managing the family ranch and has been friends with Finn ever since Callan’s father hired and then hired him. Finn's father had left town, but only after nearly beating Finn to death following an incident that occurred the night of Finn's high school graduation. Cal was there for Finn even more. The ranch is going through some unbelievable hardships and is slowly losing everything...livestock dying or injured...water holes poisoned... fences broken, but Cal and Finn refuse to give up. Along comes Rhys, whose friend Frank recommended him to Cal for work during the six months required for his parole. Rhys was a former cop whose partner and lover got involved in selling the safe house location of one of their informants that resulted in the death of the informant and his family, along with two Agents who were guarding them. It was Rhys’ word against his, and Rhys lost. Now, he just wants to finish the six months and then go back to Chicago. These are two men that have been hurt in different, unspeakable ways. Ways that we should hope no one would ever go through. In their town homophobia is an everyday occurrence. I have no tolerance for these folks, neither in person nor in the printed word. Rhys coming into Cal and Finn’s lives is nothing but pure fate. He completes what is missing in these men’s lives. He was determined to make the townspeople see how their homophobia and their small-mindedness had resulted to animosity and chaos. Good luck with that Rhys. The story is high in angst and I become frustrated with most of the character very soon...but it's one of those stories that you have to keep reading hoping that something will work out for them. I liked and disliked the book in equal measures, but I don't think it's a series that I want to continue.

Sweet story. I'm working my way through Sloane Kennedy's interwoven series in the order she recommends and I must say that this series is totally different from the others. Or at least, it is in this first book.

Three men- one deeply closeted, one a gay nineteen-year-old ranch hand disowned by his father, and one an ex-cop who is on parole for nearly killing his partner when said partner leaked information that led to a young informant being killed.

All are emotionally damaged in one way or another and it was fun to watch them stumble their way through the physical attraction each had for the others to the emotional attachments that formed and ultimately to realizing that they didn't have to pick just one man--they could all be together.

So far, so good. I'm heading to the next book Finding Trust.

This was my very first Sloane Kennedy book. I am totally hooked!!!!

It always amaze me when a writer can write such a powerful book with all the emotions and the amazing characters and plots and then fit all of that it in 149 page book. I was like a beaver going at a piece of wood when I started this book I just had to get to the end. There was a downfall to that let me tell you!!! I was telling my bestie about this book and then it hit me all at once all the pain, sorrow, loss, love and hope - man oh man how in the hell did Sloane Kennedy do that to me???

I really enjoyed this book and the way it made me feel. What I didn't like much was the end I wanted more.

So, obviously I am binging all the Sloane Kennedy series. I liked this book very much but it was too short, it felt too rushed. So to be a 5 stars read it would have had to be twice the length for the story to develop. The chemistry was great and every character was totally lovable.
