Hal is just...wow. Felicity is going about her day until the unthinkable happens. She's confronted by four people who have purely evil intentions. She's able to fight back for a short amount of time, which sends the ringleader into a rage. He's literally beating her to death and has other plans for her body. Thank goodness Hal felt pulled in that direction. He's able to rescue her and take out three of the four attackers. Oh, did I not mention he's a Berserker? Yeah, that's his speciality power. Hal smash! Hal instantly knows she's special to him. While she's recovering in the hospital he stays with her and even though she's in a coma, his presence comforts her. Unfortunately, his team has been called on for a fire and he has to go. One fire after another has kept him busy, but he hasn't forgotten Felicity. He's finally found her again after months of thinking of her and plans on unleashing the woo and claiming her. Felicity is feeling better, though she's still healing, and is determined to find the man with the sexy voice that saved her. However, the injuries she sustained literally changed her. Plus, Felicity is still in danger and it isn't from her attackers. Read the book and find out what happens next. Elle, thank you for sharing Hal and Felicity with us. Hal and Felicity ‘s story starts out with a horrid beating and Hal using his Berserker heritage to save her, it’s his voice that gets her through the painful days and nights that come. When Felicity is better and they come face to face, will they be able to let the past stay in the past or will it come roaring at them like an out of control forest fire ?? 5⭐️‘s for great characters, superb plot and some extraordinary beings that you don’t normally get in Paranormal Romance books !!

Elle Boon continues her Smokejumpers series with Hal's story in Beserker's Rage. I loved Hal in Firestarter, book 1 of the series, because the sexy blind man just came across as affable and sweet. But don't get me wrong, he is definitely no slouch in the muscles or make aggression category. Note the "Beserker" in the title of the book ;). Hal is already a big man at 6 foot 4 inches but the Beserker spirit that resides within him makes him even larger when it's called upon. And Hal's Beserker slams to the forefront when he comes to the aid of a woman being viciously attacked by four assailants. Hal kicks butt and takes no names, leaving all but one of the attackers unscathed. Not because his Beserker wanted to. Nope. The Beserker wanted blood; however, the attacked woman's gurgled moans snapped him out of his blood haze. Hal was inexplicably drawn to the woman although her face was indistinguishable from the beating she had received. Hal takes her purse to look at her license and instantly recognizes the face of his mate, Felicity Rand. Hal becomes über protective of Felicity and even threatens to physically harm the first responder if he causes Felicity any moment of pain.

Once at the hospital, Hal becomes Felicity's silent century. He watches out for her and remains near because he can't be anywhere else. Unfortunately, duty calls and Hal has to leave Felicity. Knowing that he will do whatever it takes to see her again, Hal asks Felicity's mother, Felicia, to give her his contact information. You know what happens right? Momma Felicia doesn't share his contact information but she doesn't have to. Although damaged and unresponsive for most of her post-ordeal, Felicity will never forget the voice of the man who saved her and watched over her in the hospital. But she has a long road to recovery so she can't physically seek him out, and Hal is fighting one big fire after another.

Months go by but the stars align for Hal and Felicity. Hal is finished his smoke jumping stint and Felicity is now healed with only minor remnants from the attack remaining. But the Felicity that emerged after the attack is MUCH different than she was before. Irrevocably changed by her attackers........and her mother. Fortunately for her, Hal is drawn to her soul and not her exterior. Hal and Felicity are potently drawn to one another and their internal ruminations are pointing to the love growing between them.

Queue bad guy muzak...

It's never easy right?!? Just when you think the characters will ride into the happily ever after sunset, a bad guy pops up. And oh man....this bad guy is car-ee-py! But he has shocking ties to Felicia and her mother. The story really takes some amazing twists and turns after the grand reveal is made. There octane in the story kicks it up a notch when Hal, accompanied by Brax, Keanu, and Slater work together to rescue Felicity from the clutches of the monster who has taken her captive. Boon does an exceptional job creating teases for other book plots and we see glimpses of Brax’s and Slater’s future. I’m absolutely loving the direction this series is taking.

If you are in the mood for a non-traditional paranormal romance, then I highly recommend Boon’s Smokejumpers series. Although there are some ‘usual suspect’ paranormals among the jumpers, most of them are wholly unique with an equally unique set of abilities.

Elle Boon did it again with another award winning story, Berserker's Rage! This is the second book in her SmokeJumpers series, and so far, my favorite one. I freaking ADORED Hal! In fact, if I could have one, I would want my very own beserker. Hal is like a gorgeous viking with his big strong body, and gorgeous eyes and blond hair. He hides the soul of a berserker inside him and it comes out when he is angry or someone is threatening him or someone he loves. Who wouldn't want a gorgeous viking warrior as a protector and lover? I know I definitely want one, that's for sure! *Wink* Now Felicity is a beauty. Not your supermodel beauty, but a soul deep beauty with a kind heart and gentle soul. When these two meet, after Hal rescues her from some assailants who beat her up almost beyond recognition, there is a connection there that keeps him from forgetting her and when she is healed, he goes in search of her to see how she is doing. When he finds her both him and Felicity's passion flares hot and soon neither one can be without the other.

This story went beyond my imaginings. I loved Hal and Felicity and thought their love story was crackling and sensual and so damn sweet! I was engulfed with the story and as the story progressed, we got to see almost the whole SmokeJumpers team in action as they do a rescue mission to save Felicity from someone who is crazy and dangerous. I was biting my lip throughout the story and dying to know what happened next between Felicity and Hal. I also loved seeing the SmokeJumpers in action too! These guys have me completely fascinated and I am looking forward to each and every one of their stories.

If you like a breathtaking story full of enhanced people who may not be quite human, and love action-packed and sensual romance, then pick up Berserker's Rage by Elle Boon. Boon's stories are always great and have everything a reader could want. I gave this an OUTSTANDING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! The characters are awesome and the plot will easily keep you entertained. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READ!

I so love this author and this series. This book is the second in the Smoke Jumper series. Elle Boon has become one of my most favorite authors. This book is a standalone book and it has no cliffhanger.
Hal Aldridge is on vacation in California, a little sun and surf. He gets an undeniable feeling he has to follow. He follows the draw to his soul mate being beaten within an inch of her life. Will he be in time to stop the inevitable rape or her death? What is he to do to win over the young woman but also her family? Her mother Felicia has a dark and potentially deadly past. Will this past find Felicity? Will Hal and his team of gifted Smoke Jumpers be in time to save Felicity? And…? No. Can’t give you any true spoiler information, you must read Berzerker’s Rage. It is a book that is fast paced, full of action and hot sexy scenes that will keep you up reading late into the night. Did I mention there were hot sexy scenes? Yes! OMG! You will so love Hal and Felicity.

Hal and Felicity

I loved this book. Hal is a supernatural being, a Berserker. When he gets mad, he puffs up like the Hulk but without the green uglies. He is super strong and can be uncontrollable in his rage. Rage is exactly what he went into when he saw Felicity being beaten by a gang of thugs. He feels pulled to this woman he would like to get to know better, but he has to leave her when he is called to help put out out of control fires. Felicity is a gentle soul who is in much more danger than from just the thugs who assaulted her. This book is full of action, crazy people, dangerous situations, and one Berserker who is going to let his beast go wild! Great book. Great storyline. I love all the characters and hope some others mentioned in the book will get their own story.

A must read, great story, with wicked hot spots! What an amazing story! I was spellbound by the depth and complexity of the plot of this book. The violent attack at the beginning was written so viscerally that I could almost taste the blood in the words. Even saying this much will not spoil the book for you because then it just goes deeper, it gets heavier and twisted. The characters are so completely realized that they are now p[eople in my mind. You care about them and can empathize with what they are going through, while at the same time hoping none of that stuff ever comes knocking on your door. I wasn't sure that I liked Felicity's Mom, but in the end, she almost made sense, but I still question her motives and actions. Hal is another character that will steal your heart with his devotion to Felicity, who, by the way, is phenomenally strong and my new hero. Nothing holds her back, I loved that about her. By the time the third sub-plot hits you, you know you won't stop reading this story until you get to the end. There is sex in this story, and it is smoking hot. The addition of Myra to the mix is ingenious as is the lead into the ongoing conflict for the next book, which I am dying to read right now. I can't even quantify how much I loved this story. If this is your first Elle Boon book, be prepared for the addiction to set in.

I loved the 2nd instalment in this series which focused on Hal, a supernatural Berserker! Thankfully he didn't get completely uncontrollable with it, even though he seemed to think of the "other being" within him as separate from himself to begin with and eventually accepts himself as he is. He kind of just gets larger, with amazing strength, not like the hulk who turns green or anything lol.
I really like Felicity, she had her head screwed on straight, even after what she went through, she really impressed me with her coping skills.
Bit of a plot twist that I didn't see coming in regards to Felicity and her family, wont spoil it!! This one had a really great story line that I really enjoyed.
The secondary characters continue to be great and we even hear from Keanu from the first book. We got a bit of a teaser at the end about Brax and so now am really looking forward to the next one.

Fab read!

Oh my!! Felicity is viciously attacked outside her place of work, if not for Hal's intervention she would Info not survived. As it is she is placed in a medically induced coma. Hal can't explain the connection he feels to this woman and then her mother sends him away. He feels like he ha left a part of his soul book hind as he joins his team mates on a job.
When he finally gets back to her, nothing is going to keep them apart. But somebody had other plans.
Loved this book so much! The bonds and banter between Hal and his team had me laughing out loud just as much as I was envious. The chemistry between Hal and Felicity was hawt!!

All in all a fantastic book

This was a fun, exciting and sweet story. It took off running from the start and had violence and suspense to spare. The hero is one I would love to have one of. He's big, sweet , considerate and has special powers. What's not to love?? The heroine goes through more in this story than most people do in their whole lives. All in all a fantastic book.

Elle Boon...wow

Hal and Felicity were made for each other. He spent his life with a beast inside never thinking he was good enough and she thought she was the ugly duckling. Both broken in their own ways apart but together they are one solid unit. Elle Boon wrote both characters to perfection with great humanity. You never see Hal as a beast and the only thing ugly about Felicity are the people who hurt her. This book was a surprise to me and I totally enjoyed it.

After downloading the 1st book in the series and then never reading it, well maybe the 1st chapter I read through it I like it was chocolate😍 bought book #2 read through it like it was a doughnut 🍩and now I'm looking forward to the 3rd book in the series and when I'm finished I will liken it to something wonderful and delicious! This author is incredible! as long as she's writing I'm reading 😍

I really did enjoy the story and it's was my first Ellie Boon book. I love the premise of the story and Hal as a Berserker. I did however feel some of the story was rushed and there were a few loose end I would have loved to have seen resolved. Overall I enjoyed the story and would read the author again. I'm hoping Brax's story is next in the series.

Oh how I loved this book

The Berserker's Rage, is my favorite Smokejumpers read to date. I absolutely love Hal. He is total alpha hot!
This read has more twists and turns than you can count. I loved that I spent most of the book thinking the story was going one way only to go in another.
This book is a perfect paranormal, suspense /romance.

Berserker’s Rage

This is the second book of the series of paranormal smoke jumpers. You get a little more insight on the team and their abilities. Also, you fully meet Hal and his other side. A strong hero character with a strong heroine who overcomes being a victim to welcome the semi conflicted hero into her heart. A little adventure thriller with romance.

I met Hal in Firestarter (Book1 of SmokeJumpers) . Hal finds his soulmate and has to rescue her not once but twice. I wish the story included more information about the Berserker history and Hal's and his other half getting to know one another. As all the other books by Elle Boon, I could not put it down. I am looking forward to the next in this series.

Not His Enemy

He was lead there just in time to save her from death. Something deep inside told him she belong to him and he belonged to her. She was saved from being killed by the man with the deep soothing voice. This is an intense exciting read. Enjoy I did.

Wow what a great heroine Felicity makes she is beaten almost to death has to over come a heap load of changes not only to her image and self worth but to her whole life, Thank god for Hal he is for sure a ray of sexy Viking sunshine.

One thing i love is i can so picture Elle writing this book, you can sense her humour and bits of herself peeking through.
