It Only Rains In Winter

Now hold up! I know damn well they didn't play Rain like that. I really enjoyed this read and there wasn't many errors. It was amazing how quickly Rain was able to mature just a tad bit after what she experienced once Dashon died. I was wondering why Desean so readily helped Rain when she needed it the most. Rain moved quickly in her new relationship and should've took heed to all the warnings. From everything that occurred, I never expected the secret at the end. I most definitely applauded Desean and Jah for stepping up and helping with Baby D. Deasia was truly a nut case but after everything that happened I'm wondering if she was in on everything as well. I loved Kenia though because she seemed to have a genuine friendship with Rain. Just when life seemed to be good Rain gets thrown a curveball. Jah definitely raised the stakes for playing the blame game. I really need part 2 asap because Rain is about to cause all types of trouble. Hopefully more will be revealed because Desean and Jah really had Rain fooled. What was Desean and Jah's motive, what will Rain have up her sleeves, just how many more secrets will unfold, will Rain continue dealing with all the new people who entered her life, and will Desean and Jah be ready for what Rain has in store for all the pain they caused?

Wow. I definitely didn't see that coming at all. This read definitely was full of love, loyalty, and deceit. I'm shocked at how crazy this book ended. The plot has really thickened with Desean being the cause of most of Rain's pain. I hope Jah gets himself together and stop blaming Rain for his sons death. I dunno if this series can get any better but I'm definitely curious to see how the story will reveal more truths.

A Taste of something different

OMG, this book is awesome. Jah really had me fooled to do what he did to Rain is just foul. I wonder if they all knew about what he did. Rain could act so dumb and Childish at times. She should have gotten to know Jah first. Can't wait for Part 2.

Pretty Good

You have me from the beginning, with the explosive start to what promises to be a good story.Well some where along the way you lose me,I mean the train comes off the tracks!Rain who is the version of this story is so frustrating that you just want to slap her face.I mean who cries and whines that much! Also do you have to be hit over the head to know that you are in danger. Why does Ken is have to be so loud and vulgar all the time,I mean you're married, the mother of five children come on tone it down some. The writer loses me midway through this story, because there is entirely to much going on and too many characters, that are not needed. Now let's talk about Jahsir the"Boss"of this story. This is a man who owns a strip club so he's use to woman and sexy.So I can't get with him using sexy as a means to manipulate Rain. But he has some redeeming qualities in he wants a family and to be someone that Rain can count on being in her corner. Now Jahsir will prove he is nothing else if he is not drama, check out the ending.I expect big things from the next installment.I would like to see a little bit more maturity.Overall a good story just not great.

The main character, Rain, is too naïve. The meeting with Desean was too unrealistic. Rain's move from stripper to bartender was unlikely, particularly since the authors indicate that she began stripping for money and didn't make much as a bartender. The "family" of Mama Ange, Kenia, Desean, etc. was close-knit which is understandable, but but none of the characters had any individuality, which was frustrating. Very little was revealed about Jahsir and when his family was introduced it was a little confusing.

The authors need to put as much work into introducing their characters as they do in describing the high-end fashions their characters wear.

Though this review is negative, I didn't rate the book because I gave up when I realized that it was just going to be repetitive: Rain at the doctor, oversexed Jahsir coming onto pregnant Rain, Kenia yelling at another character, Desean in Jahsir's shadow, another person dies and it's Rain's fault, Rain flatironing her "nappy-ass head"...sometimes it's like these authors have no idea what makes an intriguing story.

Loved it

Loyalty and love has a new meaning. Rain is still trying to pick up the pieces after seeing her love dashon killed in front her. Rain is strong woman but now raising her son alone with the help of a stranger in desean who gives her the family love for her and her son she needs after losing dashon. The secrets that come to light will have you second guessing the jah and desean motives in rains life. How will rain react to desean confession?
