When Elena was eight years old, her father took her demon hunting for the first time.
When she was ten, she had her first kill.
When she turned seventeen, she discovered just how connected she was to the demon's world.

Elena never questioned her duty as a demon hunter, until that duty suddenly went from part time job to life consuming. After losing her family and being sent to live with a suspicious foster family, Elena is learning quickly that not everyone in her life can be trusted, and not everything she believes is true.
After discovering the truth about her own past, Elena is faced with a destiny set in place hundreds of years ago. With the help of a seven hundred year old angel and the son of her enemy, Elena must learn to embrace her past and connect with her own soul.
She is the only one who can protect this world, not only from demons, but an ancient evil even more fearsome than the creatures she hunts.

Rating: 4.5/5

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the concept of demon hunting and fallen angels being involved. I love angel mythology since I wasn't raised in the church and all of it is fascinating to me. This book really gave me a Fallen vibe, but I actually adored this when I really really hated Luce and Daniel in that whole series.

Elena is a tough girl. She's not afraid to put herself in danger to keep others safe and she also doesn't take shit, from anyone. Which can make her a bit abrasive in some situations. But once she cares about someone, she is fiercely loyal. I loved her friendship with Blair and Raphael (though this one was a lot more rocky). And her relationship with Declan kind of made me die on the inside from the warm fuzzies.

I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of the plot with the demons trying to get Elena to do something incredibly dangerous and her finding out about her life and who/what exactly she is. I liked how these two things merged together and became one big plot, but each aspect got time to be explored fully.

Timeless Rose is an amazing first novel from K A Greenough. It skews off 'normal' young adult books and revolves around demons and angels with a unique twist.

It is also a refreshing change from the 'girls life changes drastically after meeting a boy' genre to "Hey guess what, girl's life was already different with maybe the boy somewhat at fault."

It's a definite must read and you won't regret it.

Timeless Rose is the kind of book that has everything. You get action comedy drama the whole 9 yards. The characters themselves are people you can relate. The kinds of people who could imagine being friends with, or see yourself in. When you read this book, you will not only be reading the story, but you will feel like you're a long ride with them. One of the group. K. A. Greanough takes you on an adventure with this book. If you haven't read it, you should. It's a hell of a ride.
