This is a tie in to the Avengers movie (or Captain America and Thor movies). Two stories, one with Cap, one with Thor. It's not bad, entertaining and fun.

Title : Comics
This Colourful comic book has two totally unrelated stories U- base and Citadel of Spires. Featuring Avengers Super heroes Captain America and Thor respectively.
U-Base :
The first story begins with a Submarine belonging to The Hydra attacking a freighter at the Mediterranean sea in 1944 when the world was at war.
The attackers are then surprised with Captain America counter attacking them by using the merchant ship as bait. Cap is then joined by a unit of soldiers named “Howling Commandos” who help him to operate the Submarine .
They discover that some big weapon is being built at the U base under the sea and then the team goes in search of it with the intent of neutralizing the threat whatever it is.
Upon arrival at the U base, they find it deserted and doubting foul play they go in search as divided pairs. And set 30 minutes time to destroy the base.
One of the teams is trapped by an octopus kinda looking sea monster which regenerates its body parts when cut.
Cap tries to rescue them with the help of his shield in vain and the team gets to know that ‘The Hydra serum’ had mixed with the water supply when an underwater earthquake flooded the base.
The story ends with Cap putting together the missing pieces and understands that the monster is created from the scientists in the lab due to the regeneration serum binding them together and decides to send help to them.
Citadel of Spires:
The story begins with Thor and Loki defeating a beast with the help of Sif and Volstagg while they travel to Svartalfhelm to rescue Fandral who was imprisoned for spying upon the war machines of Citadel of Alfyse.
With so much bickering of Thor and Loki wanting to take two different routes, they get separated at the gates with the former taking a direct route of attack and the latter suggesting a surprise attack from the behind.
Loki was tricked in his route by Malekith with mirages and Thor encountered giants and elves in his route. They fight them off and finally unite at a point, help each other and get out of the Citadel rescuing Fandral.
Even though I am not a big fan of superhero comics I loved the bright colours in the comic book and how the individual images can be zoomed in and scrolled in this free Kindle book .
Having a little bit of knowledge about the superheroes from the movies it was interesting to read the book. An okayish read for me.
The artwork was decent, the stories carry more of the MCU version of the characters rather than the original Marvel Comics take on them. In the Captain America story this is played out by soft-soaping the enemy and in the Thor story much is made of Thor and Loki being happy brothers for the most part, even Loki eluding to Odin's blood running in his veins [it doesn't - he's adopted]. Ah, retconning - conning the unknowing, irritating the knowledgeable.
This comic book is two different stories. The first one is Captain America saving some friends from a regenerating hydra while the second story is about Thor joining forces with Loki to defeat a rather tall elf.
The emphasis here is on the ampersand- there are two separate stories with no crossover. Cap battles Hydra with a rabble and Thor,Loki and honourable servants engage in a Norse glory battle in unison - making the annoying lettering somewhat more tolerable.
I actually really liked these stories, my favorite one being Citadel of Spires. I actually found that I really liked Loki and couldn't wait to read more about him. Thor was, as always, a bit of a pompous ass. But that's ok, I still love him too.
