Received a book in exchange for an honest review

“I go over to her and kiss her. Her lips are just as soft as I imagined they’d be. She gasps and I take advantage, slipping my tongue into her mouth. I can tell she isn’t experienced, but it doesn’t matter. This is the best kiss I’ve ever had.”

4 stars! This book was very cute with emotional moments. There could be some triggers in this book for some, dealing with abuse and rape. Overall this was a great book I really liked it.

Madison has had one heck of a life, after her mom was killed on her birthday, she had to live with her dad constantly reminding her that it was her fault that her mom was dead. After being taken away from her father at a young age she bounces around from foster home to foster home. finally at the age of 18 she’s starting her freshman year at Duke. She has a boyfriend, whom she loves, even though he’s abusive and controlling. On the first day, she’s totally lost and runs into Carter James, literally. After picking herself up, he tells her they are in the same class and he’ll walk her there. Both are instantly smitten with each other and when Carter finds out who Madison’s boyfriend is, he’s shocked because he knows what a complete jerk, Chris is. Determined to keep Madison in his life, he does whatever he can to show her that she deserves better than her current situation. After spending time with Carter, she decides it’s times to leave Chris, but Chris has other plans. It gets messy and heartbreaking from there. This book although sad at times was really great book! I loved it!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book by Alexis Noelle that I have read and I loved it! When I first started reading I thought this was going to be your typical love triangle but first impressions are usually wrong. This book dealt with actual real world problems and emotions, such as, abuse, loneliness, loss, and most importantly, love. Madison Stevens has spent her life going from foster home to foster home after her mother got killed in a car accident when she was 4. She has a really tough life and everyone she has ever loved has left her or treated her really badly. She has had to go through some seriously tough times and for her to come away from it in one piece just shows her character's strength and endurance in life. It is very much a When she literally runs into Carter James on her first day of college, it is insta love from the start for those two. But the problem is she has an abusive and controlling boyfriend. The situation is very complicated and definitely a struggle for Madison, but Carter won't stop being persistent until she admits that they are good and belong together. Their was a lot of angst and back and forth between Carter and Madison. A tragic turn of events and abrupt ending will have your heads reeling. The ending was a little bit rushed but I still felt that the author did a very great job with this storyline. I am looking forward to reading the Jason and Shawn's stories in the next two books of the series and more from this author!

description

Sometimes you just have to take a chance…

Madison Stevens was used to going it alone. Growing up in the foster system had taught her some hard-won lessons but, having survived it, she better appreciated the value of independence and family. Carter James knew from the minute they met, Maddy was going to change his life forever. Not realizing the obstacles they would face, Carter jumps in and is determined that Maddy acknowledge the growing feelings between them. Would she realize what they have only when it is too late?

This new adult romance grapples with topics that anyone can relate to, including the need to love and be loved. Maddy hasn’t had a lot of that in her life up until now and is not sure what that really means until Carter enters her life. I love how Carter is so earnest in his pursuit of Maddy and does whatever he can to show her how good a relationship can be. Of course there is a huge elephant in the room that provides all the drama in the story. As their romance progresses that drama escalates in parallel.

Some unexpected turns and an abrupt ending made this a good read rather than a great one but I look forward to reading more from this author.

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. This was a great story with heartwrenching moments that just made love the characters all the more. the angst of it kept me swiping pages. I really liked how strong Madison's character is. She overcomes an abusive relationship and still has the ability to trust a guy again. Carter made me swoon at times. He did seem a bit douchy in the beginning but that quickly changed.

I can't wait to read more from Alexis Noelle!

She has always considered that the issue of sexist abuse is complicated and to understand the woman, in this case, when she decides to stay with her abuser is difficult.
Maddy's story is hard, painful and very sad. Carter is a love because it gives her all the support she needs.
With many potholes they manage to get ahead.

This all about Madison, a girl that has had such a rough start in life that the fact she is functioning at all shows just why she deserves to have her own story, I can only imagine the power struggle going on in the authors head as she tried to get Madison’s story down on paper because I think there are so many ways this tough young woman could have pushed for her story to go.
But Ms Noelle is a master at her craft and Madison got the story that was absolutely perfect for her and I loved every word of it.
Having lost her mother, Madison really did have a torrid time of it growing up, her father was a complete swine who took great pleasure in burdening her with his spite and constantly rubbing in the fact that as far as he was concerned – it was her fault that her mother as no longer with them. How spiteful!
Eventually she is removed by the child protective services and he spends years between foster homes, some better than others but none of them were really enough and by the time she was eighteen years old, she is out on her own and settling into college.
But she has tied herself up with a loser of a boyfriend Chris, really he is a complete reprobate – he is a nasty piece of work – abusive and so damn controlling. I really felt for her but I understood her life choices, I just hung on to the hope that she would finally see that she was worth more.
I didn’t have to wait long to find my hero, I just had to wait a little longer for her to see that he was her hero too.
Carter was a great character and from the minute she crashed into him, I knew she had her man, one that would treat her properly but he has the patience of a saint because it was a long steady process for him to finally open her eyes to the fact that she was a beautiful, funny, intelligent woman who deserved better than what she was settling for – she deserved him, someone who could love her.
But Chris wasn’t ready to give her up without a fight and I have to say the conflict that this added to the story was not only angsty, it was painful, I was so angry at the whole thing – the man was an ass of the highest order… how dare he!!!
I felt the pain that they were all going through but I have to say the whole book was super.

Such a great series!!! Loved this very much!!

This 3-book trilogy showcases three best friends and how they get their woman!

In the first book, Fall For Me, Carter & Madison find each other at college and from the very first moment the chemistry is off the charts. The thing is…she has a boyfriend. It takes a lot of trust, on each of them, and even then it might not be enough.

In Wait For Me, Nicole and Jason are passionate and dynamic to the extreme. Nicole is so independent and Jason is so alpha that it’s almost like fighting is their fore-play. Even by the end they don’t have it totally figured out. Which is what I love about box sets…..you get to read one right after the other. Each of the characters are at least a little bit in each book.

Fight For Me brings us to Shawn (<——thank you for the traditional spelling!) and Christen. They are definitely the sweet couple. She is just an amazing person, despite her awful parents. They have plans for her to be perfect, act perfect, have the perfect career, the perfect man…..it’s not at all what she wants. It intimidates Shawn and makes him feel like he’s not good enough for her. Will she prove to him that he is and that he is what she wants no matter what her parents think? We also get a little more of Nicole & Jason too.

Breaking Free is about Carter’s little sister, Holly. Boy this girl has it from her brother and her father. However I think Carter is worse!!! Holly is one determined chick - trying to move on with her life. She hates being touched and finds that the only person that can get past this with is Drew. He’s everything she should not want. He’s an ass, he knows it and doesn’t care, he’s totally good looking and probably the main reason to stay away from him: he’s the lead singer in a band. Will she be able to find herself again with him or will he be the thing that finally breaks her for good?

Every one of these stories is a bit different and a bit the same. I love that and I love how they all are in each book. The writing style of Alexis is amazing, the characters are complex and developed and the endings are amazing!!!!

Very Highly Recommend!!!

I have fallen in love with this author and her new series and serials that I was lucky enough to read so I was thrilled to hear she was revamping and re-releasing her older books so I had to sign on !!

Once again I was hooked on the characters , they had real life issues and some issues really hit close to home. The abusive boyfriend , the new school , the new journeys and the realization that your life is not your own and you need to change that. I will say Carter and Madison fall pretty quickly BUT when you have been treated poorly all your life as Madison has the second you see what you have missed out on you latch on and there is no way you wouldn't fall in love with Carter ! I loved Carter's family and how open they were to Madison. When you hear the stories of her past you can't help but want the best for her. There is a ton of angst and of course the back and forth. If you have ever been in an abusive relationship at a young age you get it , I know I get it , now as an adult I would think I would have more sense but Madison did what most girls that age do. They cower , they stay , they take it. Thankfully she has her out and she feels confident enough with her new friends to be able to survive. I enjoyed the journey , was scared , nervous and heartbroken at times and then of course was excited because lets face it CARTER IS AMAZING !! Since I did not read the book as previously released I do not know what has changed or stayed the same but I do know there are a few characters I would love to get to know more about and hopefully get that chance.

Madison has never had anyone put her first, love her or even wanted her, for her. Chris has only exerted his power of this over her and now he is getting more violent.
Being at the same college as Chris is not what Madison thought it would be and with his jealousy, it is becoming unbearable.
Meeting Carter is the best and worst thing for Madison. He makes her laugh, smile and wish she was not with Chris. Sharing a class with Carter, then becoming partners for a class project is good and bad. All the happiness she experiences with Carter are forgotten once Chris finds out and Madison will end up with the repercussions.
Carter was a playboy, but the first time he and Madison meet, he knows she is special. He likes her, she makes him happy and brings a smile to his face every time he sees her. Carter knows Chris is not good to Madison, but he also knows she needs a friend and that is his first goal to set with Madison.
Madison and Carter work on their project together and do find themselves developing a friendship and also some feelings that could become more but will Chris let Madison go or will there be more trouble for Madison?
I liked the writing and how well the characters blended with each other. For Madison, all she ever wanted was to be wanted and Carter only wanted to feel whole again. Love, grief, lies, betrayal, secrets and friendship all play out in this story of self worth.

Madison and Carter

What a story!! Wish it were longer.

Madison came from an abusive childhood, left shattered and alone. She is put through several foster homes too but was abused in them also. In high school she meets Chris and they date and after graduation, she follows him to college. Chris is not a good boyfriend, he's an abuser, both physically and mentally.

On the first day of college Madison literally runs into Carter and is knocked to the ground. Carter helps her father her things but one look in her eyes and he feels things he's never felt meeting a girl before. They end up having all morning classes together and he gets to know her a little better, until Chris sees them together and forbids Madison to speak to Chris.

The pull the both feel for each other becomes too strong and the two agree to see each other secretly. The two really connect and spend the holidays together. Chris becomes more abusive when Madison breaks things off with him.

Madison has a lot of "firsts" with Carter and he's madly in love with her and showing her the simple things involved in a relationship. Madison finally trusts Carter and his small circle of friends, who adopt Madison as a sister and help to protect her from Chris' crazy stunts to try to get her back.

Quite a crazy roller coaster but Carter is the ultimate romantic boyfriend, never pushing too far but helping Maddie become a more confident person.

Madison was a beautiful, brave young girl that had faced a horrible, life and she continue facing it with the help of her abusive boyfriend Chris. Ever since her mom passed at the age of four the only sentimental she got from everyone was the unwanted, unloved feeling until he walked in her life.

Carter James was a guy that had lost his mother at a young age, but he had his father, brother, and sister. But never had he felt for anyone until she walked in his life and he will do anything to make her his and show her how much she is wanted and loved. But can he saved her from the abusive, unstable Chris?

As I read this book, I felt so much emotions. I love how Madison was able to see how precious she was in Carter's eyes and to learned she was not alone in this cruel world she was facing.

Understanding this is a fictional work, yet the issues Madison was facing are happening now. I am well pleased how this story will teach others that there are not alone in this world, everyone has someone willing to help.

I love this story and I recommend this book to everyone. You will love.

I loved this book. Madison is a great strong character. She was dealt a rough set of cards but she makes do. She was taking from her Dad after her mother passed away. She grew up in foster care. She meet Chris is high school. Things started out good but by the time she gets to college her relationship with Chris is abusive.

She meets Carter at college. Carter has the reputation of being a player but once we get to know him he is a really sweet guy. He has two best friends (Jason and Shawn) that he has know forever. I loved there interaction together, they are a great group of friends. There is a connection between Carter and Madison. As they start spending time together Chris doesn't like it and takes it out on Madison. I always try to find sometime likeable even in the worse characters but there really isn't a likable thing about Chris. I couldn't help to root for Madison to leave him for Carter.

This is a great story. There are some surprising things that happen. It keeps you intersted form beginning to end.

I have loved everything I have read by Alexis Noelle so far, so I knew I would love this one as well. This books covers some pretty intense topics and may have some triggers for some people.
We meet Madison who has had a crap upbringing so far and now she is in a abusive relationship with her boyfriend Chris. She doesn't really know what love is until Carter shows her what it really is all about.

As the book progresses she has the courage to end things with Chris and her relationship with Carter just grows from leaps and bounds. We don't hear much from Chris after they break up but you just know something is going to happen.

The ending no matter how much I love this book felt a little flat and sudden, with a little epilogue at the very end to tie it all up. I felt for the bool be as great at it was the ending felt a little rushed.

However, I am still giving this 5 stars as I totally loved how much Carter showed Maddy just what love is and I loved their relationship.

Alexis Noelle continues her streak with another excellent book. Action packed with great characters many can relate to. Her description of their relationship reminded me very much of many first love relationships. While there are some very serious subject matter that happens in this book there are also very valuable themes. The dynamics between all the characters leaves you wanting to learn more about them. My only complaint but I don't really want to call it that because I liked it regardless, is I felt the end was a bit squished. I kept waiting and waiting for the big explosion and all of a sudden it was there and gone. Regardless, Fall For Me was a very enjoyable read. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a fun book that will capture our attention, keep you turning the pages, and remind you of young love.

This is a cute, sappy, angsty read. If you enjoy a book like that every once in awhile, this is a great one! It was a pretty quick read too. I liked Maddy and Carter. Carter was almost too good to be true (I know it's fiction and maybe I am just jaded!). I loved Carters friends and Maddys friend Nicole! I know this will continue into a series and we will get to know them all a bit better.
The only reason I felt this wasn't a 5 star for me was the end. My kindle said I had 6 minutes left and there was still a lot that I knew was gonna happen. It felt like the whole book had been building to this inevitable encounter and it was over in a page!

I received this for an honest review.. I have to say that this was a pretty good book.. I really enjoyed Madison and Carter and their relationship. My heart broke for Madison and the life she had led up until meeting Carter.

Madison has bounced around foster homes since a small child and she goes off to college with her boyfriend Chris (who is not a nice guy). Then she meets Carter and she starts to fall for him. Carter sees Maddie and something about her pulls him to her..

This book had a nice mix of sweet and romantic and hard times for these characters... Just an all around good book!!!

Strong characters and a strong story line. Alexis takes us into a relationship that is dangerous, Chris and Madison. But with hope on the horizon, Carter.
Madison has had to live with rejection and loneliness, finding comfort in the one person that gave her the time of day and companionship. When she meets Carter feelings that she never felt before invade her and she has a hard time of hiding it. Trouble with a capitol T.
Madison grows in this book and you will love reading how she comes out of her shell. A romance, of the heart and soul with characters that will will fall for.

This book is a great read, very enjoyable. It drew me in from the start and carried me along turning pages until I finished. It is full of emotions, sadness, love, angst, it's heart-wrenching at times, and features a heroine, Madison who has been handed a crap-tastic life, and is very deserving of a HEA. I also loved Carter, and detested Chris. I was rooting for Cater all the way! I really enjoyed this book although I felt that the end was a bit rushed, it didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the book. I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

3.5 stars for me I tried really hard to connect to the characters it's not the writing the author does an amazing job at telling the story. I just wanted more than I got like at the end what happened after I mean technically you know they are ______ &_______. So there is that but I will say both characters are very intriguing. Anyways just because I didn't connect doesn't mean you won't so give it a shot. I was given this arc from the author for an honest review. This book tore me up. Madison is this beautiful strong willed girl who has not had an easy life and is in an abusive relationship. But even after all she has gone through she has this ability to put her trust in another guy.

Carter is a god send in a way but can also act like a jerk. He lost is mom when he was young but still had his dad and siblings. Can he save Madison from the hell she is going through with Chris her boyfriend? Or will he be to late? Cant wait for more from Alexis Noelle.

Fall For Me was intense, I devoured it!! I was so confused when it had an epilogue and then more chapters... and another epilogue... Then I was looking through books and seen another book by this author with another title that was no longer available. This book is a series that has been combined into one book (thank God). All of the epilogues & continuations made sense, lol. Anyway, great book that I would definitely recommend:)

This was an ok book for me. I like the premise of the story and the story itself but I just felt like the characters were reading the story to me instead of me seeing it through their eyes. Not my favorite style of reading. It made the writing feel choppy and made it harder to connect with the storyline. Looking forward to the next book.

Maddisons story and what she endured broke my heart. She went to college and thankfully Carter. I am glad he knew once he spent time with her that she was it for him and made it his mission to win her over. Loved the background characters and it was a great start to the series.
