Michael's story kicks off the Fallen Angels of District 4, Evolution City MC series, and it's a perfect introduction to what's shaping up to be an intriguing world. He gets a vision of his mate Ember and knows he has to get to her in the Badlands, no spoilers, but the stakes feel real from page one.
Michael himself is exactly what you want from an MC President: alpha, protective, a little bossy, but you can tell there's more depth to him underneath that persona. As a novella, it moves fast, but don't let the length fool you; there's a surprising amount packed in here. Worldbuilding, character setup for what's clearly a bigger series arc, some solid action, and a satisfying HEA that ties this off nicely while leaving the door wide open for more.

This is the beginning of the Destrict 4 Evolution City MC series. It may be a novella but you definitely don't miss anything. Michael and his MC brothers are worried about the lack of a breach coming from the Badlands but when Michael gets a vision of a human female breaching the Badlands he takes off knowing his brothers are right behind him. He also realizes he has finally found his mate now can he convince her to stay. She may be his mate but Ember isn't going to let him tell her what to do. When it comes down to protecting her people she will not be left behind even to her detriment. Can Michael and his brothers save her people and keep Ember safe at the same time, well Michael will die trying. I really enjoyed Michael and Ember's story and am excited to read the ones as well.

The fallen angels of district 4 are at their wits end with the Raiders from the Badlands. A battle that is not going to be easy in the least.
During this time Michael finds his true mate in the middle of Chaos. Ember comes barrling into Michael's world. He recognizes the mate bond instantly and has to find a way to tell her what's going on. Humans are not normally mating material.
5 star read. I love how the plot and characters work together in this story. I cant wait to see who is next to find his mate. From the looks of it it may be Lucifer.

Michael is the president of a club of angel shifters! Ember is a human who heals others. We have fated mates. Someone/thing kidnapping human females. What can go wrong?? What will go right?? Did I mention both Michael and Ember are stubborn? This a novella to get us introduced to the Fallen Angels MC and the Evolution City world. If this book is anything to go by, there will be jokesters, alpha-tude, strong women we will get to know as we uncover the mystery of District 4. I can't wait!!

This is a fantastic short read!
I have been looking forward to reading this story for a while now! Lacy is dipping her pen into some supernatural ink and has pulled it off beautifully. There is a ton of action and smut packed into this one. I am definitely looking forward to reading more stories focused on each of these Angels!

This is a novella, but Lacy has filled it with plenty of action, drama and a great introduction to life and challenges in district 4. I’m looking forward to more.
