- The Good : 99 pennies or Kindle Unlimited, so either way, it’s cheap. I’ll admit, I’m always looking for good BBW romances so I end up reading at least one between ARC reads, just because it’s a fave theme of mine.
When I read the blurb, I thought this is perfect fantasy - who doesn’t want a billionaire who’s madly attracted to a curvy heroine? I think the plotline was intriguing, there are good “bones” to the story and when it comes to fantasy reads, this is set up in a way that I could understand its appeal. To a point.
- The Not So Good : It’s first person POV and the dialogue felt way more stiff and formal than I expected. The sex is plentiful, which makes sense since this started as a serial, but I couldn’t quite feel the romance between those two. Sex is all well and good, but the entire story tried to make their insistence on calling each other Mr. Reed and Ms. James, which added to the formality and never crossed into adorable nickname territory for me.
Also, there was no character growth for Mr. Reed, he was as stiff at the end as I thought he was at the beginning. Cassie never really asserted herself until the very end, and I thought there were too many people lecturing her to understand why David was so cold and detached. I would have liked to have seen David emotionally connecting with Cassie, as opposed to her being told that he must care for her. The only times there was a hint of a spark was during the love scenes and those didn’t work for me because of the purple prose.
It was ok. If BBW heroines and fantasy billionaires mixed with flowery prose is your crack, well, you may enjoy this.

Excellent
For hardcore erotic romance it had very soft and mysterious moments.
I loved that there was a story within this story of how they were supposed to be together.
I couldn't imagine a more beautiful ending.
I was shocked at how Cassie progressed from a obedient assistant to a very fiery person.
All in all it really deserved the 5***** that I gave it.

At least in this erotic tale the BBW is really a BBW.
Incredibly attracted to the CEO of the firm in which she works, Cassie James quickly agrees to take a job in Special Projects... or being a gopher/personal assistant to Mr. Reed. This is clearly an erotic romance so it's no surprise that she agrees to her first personal and confidential assignment: go to a lingerie store and come back wearing what she was sent out to buy. This quickly moves into a sexual relationship with her boss. He's got secrets relative to his past, and he knows an awful lot about her past as well...
Aspects of the story bordered on a bit creepy: 15 year age difference between them wasn't really explored nor was the fact that they have a shared past from when she was an infant, he's essentially paying her to be his sexual submissive in and out of the office, which was distasteful, his manipulations of the press to force her into a "fake" relationship etc. The whole Mr. Reed/Miss James nomenclature was ridiculous outside of the bedroom. Her mother's advice was AWFUL and Cassie's character was all over the place. There was not enough substance to understand what makes these two tick except for steamy scenes and his love for crotchless panties.
I read this as one book rather than in parts... I may not have continued after the first part. At least there's an HEA.

Wanted to like this but....
....I just couldn't.
It wasn't a bad book there were just lots of little things that frustrated the crap out of me. This book was seriously just sex with barely any plot. It needed so much more flushing out. And yes, the girl was a bbw but it was cliche where it seemed she was always eating. I appreciated that she was a plus size girl and at least our hero was a little older.

I hated how she didn't confront him on anything. And yes, while the lady friend didn't really exist, cassie didn't even think that she was being scandalous until after sexy time. And hiring the photographer, how could she not be more pissed because that would just be humiliating.
They were both terrible and I felt nearly nothing for these two until she FINALLY gets her big girl panties on when he buys a condo for her and makes him get his head out of his backside. I was just so bored by this book. And its characters.

3.5 Stars!
I love a good billionaire story and it's great that Cassie, is a curvy girl as let's face it, just like the media, most of this genre is crammed full of perfect bodies. But I do have to say, that to be constantly reminded that Cassie is of a fuller figure throughout the book, it did get a bit repetitive!
Definitely an easy read and there are some fab hot moments between Cassie & Mr Reed, although I felt that their relationship was on speed and that their story came to a conclusion far too quickly. That said if you love shorter stories, then I'd recommend that you purchase it.

Very good reads
This series of books was of a romance that was destined. I felt David and Cassie's love was right from the beginning. They both in the end overcome obstacles they were unsure of. They ended even with a happy ending when I thought it wouldn't happen.
