Cassandra thought the guys she dated were your everyday jocks. Little did she know some of them grew fur and ran on all fours. Others had fangs, drank blood and could fly. Not only that, but she wasn't who she thought she was. She had been lied to her whole life about who she was. How would you feel if the things you were taught that went bump in the night only in books and movies, were real? That the things nightmares are made of where hunting you, for one reason or another. Some want to use you. Others want to force you to be theirs. Some want you dead!

Cassandra is a young teenage girl whose life is starting to change. She has moved to many different places with her father and mother. Later, came a stepmother. She is having lapses in memory along with headaches. We read about certain characters, like a form of doctor, that treats Cassandra in the book. Each place she moves she meets a bevy of creatures, werewolf, vampire, fae and others. Come to find out she is the Princess that everyone keeps falling in love with and wants for their mate. She has the ability to change into different creatures and to perform other magic. She tries to run and hide from her mother and father, the King and Queen. At one time, her father wanted her dead…but does he still? When she discovers who she really is, she does not fall in line with what is expected of her and has to prove to EVERYONE she means what she says. All she wants is to be normal with a normal life. Everyone else expects her to act like the Royalty she is and choose a mate. Will everyone she meets have these expectations of her? Can she make and keep any friends? What can she do and where can she hide they will not find her? What kind of plans will she make to protect her friends and herself? Find out in the first installment of this series. This book was given to me as a gift and I am leaving a voluntary review. Brenda Westfall writes with an original flair and keeps the audience engrossed in the story plots. This is the third book I have read by the author and I am definitely NOT disappointed…I cannot wait to read more in this series.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Brenda Westfall.

Cassandra wakes up not knowing where she is or in fact who she is and the people around her are not eager to give her the information easily. When she finally does find herself the people she thought were her friends turn out to be supernaturals but can she trust any of them with out getting herself killed in the process.

This book has a great story line and wonderful characters for any reader to enjoy. The author gave the characters very good interaction.

This book is for any paranormal romance book reader who like some drama with their romance.

I really enjoyed this story. The plot was very good, the characters were amazing and I loved how the main character had many parts to her. I cannot wait to see what else this author does with her writing and I will definently be picking up more by her.
