The advancement of warp technology combined with feasible human stasis opens the door for humans to venture beyond Earth’s solar system out into the universe. Three hundred years of exploring the universe has not ever encountered sentient alien life. The dream of colonizing other planets fades within a hundred years when Goldilocks planets remain elusive. As Ambassador Chin Fergerson struggles to negotiate with the descendants she discovers a secret so dark that it threatens to destroy her.
