Lilly Jacobs certainly hadn’t had an easy lot in life. Leaving behind everything she’d ever known was the hardest thing Lilly had ever had to endure. Until she’d met Jake Cavanaugh. He was an arrogant, chauvinistic jerk that barged into her life one day, and like a bad rash, just wouldn’t go away.

Jake Cavanaugh was living the dream. As CEO of Cavanaugh Industries and a well-known eligible bachelor, Jake was living the high life…and enjoying every minute of it. When Jake ended up having a less than stellar encounter with Lillian Jacobs, she’d rubbed him the wrong way from the get go.

When danger shows up on Lilly's doorstep, will Jake put his ego, and their differences, aside to be the hero Lilly needs? Would a shocking revelation be the tipping point that brings the couple together?

Perhaps there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Jake and Lilly. Then again, being a self-proclaimed playboy, Lilly may just be Jake’s latest craving…

ONE AND A HALF STARS!

I've always prided myself in reading a book to the very end (because hey, you gotta be able to say you're accomplished in something, right?), but this book really tested me and its only through sheer will that I got through to the very end.

This book had all the necessary elements to make it a success for me: rich CEO bad boy, struggling female mc with a hurtful past, inter-office relationship, enemies to lovers and a happy preggers after. But while all the necessary elements were there, the compilation of it all and the overall story telling was so terribad that I'm not even sure where to start.

Lilly Jacobs is by far, the worst heroine that I've ever had the displeasure to meet. She's rude, ungrateful, wishy washy and so stupid that its dangerous. Jake Cavanaugh also doesn't win any awards in my book. He's an absolute asshole upon meeting and really doesn't do anything to endear me towards him, constantly referring to himself as an alpha male. Sorry, mate, but if you have to label yourself an alpha male, chances are, you're not. Other support characters are equally unimpressive with the exception of Tracy who I just felt so sorry for in the end.

I honestly couldn't tell you what most of the book was about because quite frankly, it was all confusing. The formatting was all over the place which didn't help with my confusion and the action jumped so quickly from one section to the other that I was left reeling, with my eyes glazed over and my brain dribbling out of my nose. The one part I did get though was I couldn't help but think if she had been smarter, she could have avoided it all, could have avoided dragging Tracy into her mess, who, BTW, didn't even rate a mention to see how well she recovered from the ordeal.

There are so many things that I could talk about but I'll leave it here. Definitely not my cup of tea. And if my review was confusing, I can only blame it on such a confusing read.

The Free Dictionary says:

1. to long for; desire eagerly.
2. to require; need: a problem craving your prompt attention.
3. to ask earnestly for.
v.i.
4. to beg or plead (usu. fol. by for).

This is the first book I read from this Author and I was thoroughly surprised.

It is very hard now days to find a story that has all the elements that make it a great read, an engaging and fresh plot, well matched characters,in case of Romance stories, plenty of passion, some twists and something which in my opinion is vital, that is well written. I believe this is the case with Crave. It certainly engaged me from the start and ok the story is not different from many of its kind, but all the other factors were there.

Lilly Jacobs has had a streak of bad luck and has been in very bad situations; she is a tough cookie don't get me wrong, but you know the saying, "When it rains, it pours", well we certainly get a glimpse of that from the very first page. However a chance encounter puts her face to face with arrogant Jake Cavannaugh. Sparks certainly don't fly right away, on the contrary, things go from bad to worse and the last person on Lilly's mind is Jake. And the same goes to him, yes he finds her attractive but he also finds her a handful, oh he doesn't know how full his hands will be alright.

Jake Cavanaugh has made a name for himself, he is the CEO of his own company which allows him to lead a life of freedom where pleasures come and go as he seems fit. He is an eligible bachelor but the last thing on his mind is being attached to someone, he is indeed a true Playboy.

Lady Fate plays a great part in this story and soon both leads have to come face to face. Its hard to Hate someone when you love them so much but it is very easy to Love someone who you originally hate.

Remember the definition at the beginning of my review? Well Jake and Lilly will certainly get acquainted with the word. However soon Lilly's past is literally knocking on her door and this will be the pinnacle piece which will set the wheels in motion for many twists and turns.

A well written and enjoyable storyline, great secundary characters. I certainly recommend this book to all fans of Alpha CEO's and in general readers of good romantic books.
Looking forward to reading more from this Author.

***WARNING*** This book will take you on a wild ride...twists you never see coming! Engrossing from page one. Jake Cavanaugh is hot, intense, has a bad-boy edge, and a soft side that will have you melting. This isn't your average romance. This book is filled with angst, suspense, twists, humor, witty and strong heroine, great writing style, and best of all- a HEA! I couldn't ask for more in a book. Highly recommend.

This story was terrific, I feel like I could reread this one! It is packed with action, drama, and suspense. It also has romance. The beginning of the story starts off with Lilly who works on at a diner. She starts off her day bad and then it just seemed to get worse. She runs into Jake on the way to work and then later at work. Where she gets into a fight with him which ends up her losing her job. Her roommate helps her to get a job. Later she finds out her boss is now Jake. After that it starts where he is protecting her and has some good moments. It was like a rollercoaster that you just wanted to stya on to find out what was going to happen next. The characters made the story so amazing and loved how the characters grew. This had a great plot to follow along with. I think the best thing about the story that I liked was how he wanted to protect her and tried so hard to push her away. Only to realize what he felt for her. You feel the emotions with the characters and it was either you laugh, cry or feel mad at a certain one. I defentily look forward to reading more books by this author and believe she did a wonderful job on it. I recommend this to anyone that loves a good romance that is hard to put down.

This is a very well written story and both lead characters are very strong. As always Kiara has written another hot male character which is Jake! There is a bit of a plot twist in there which definitely took me a little by surprise but totally keep my interest. I would highly recommend this book.

Here's the thing about this one star read

the h is a bitch the entire book

the h and H sleep together once.

he pushes her away so she falls for the first guy out of the shoot which could probably have been avoided if she would have answered her phone or text.

which brings me to the main issue I have with this book. felt like half of the book was her with another guy. she is seriously in deep with this other guy, practically living with him.

the clincher....after her kidnapping and beating she wakes up in the hospital and tells the H she loves him too after she's been with the other guy for months. REALLY? am I supposed to like this wishy washy chick because if so I failed miserably.

sorry. I'm all for a couple actually spending time together to fall in love rather than fall in love with each other while in some one else's bed. and there is no way these two fell in love with each other before or after their one time together. if so then I completely missed it.

Crave by name crave by nature. As soon as you start this one you will be craving to finish it in one sitting. Which I would have done had I not looked at the clock and noticed that it was 1am making me stop as I had work the next day (or rather later that day!).

Loved how Lilly’s day starts, it was just one thing after another and getting worse the more time that went on with the amount of bad luck being thrown at her. So when she first meets Jake she is not in the best of moods and as he seems to feed of confrontation he ends up acting like a complete jerk to her to get a fun reaction. Which would be fine if that was the last time she was going to see him that day but when he comes into the dinner she works at she can not hold back her frustration with him any longer – only problem is that her boss hears this little confrontation and soon fires her. So out of a job and almost out of chances her friend Tracy sets her up with an interview for her post she is leaving at the end of the month. The job is perfect, she is to be the personal assistant to Jake Cavanaugh and after having the first week without the boss there things seem great. That is until her new boss shows up in all his glory and turns out to be none other then the jerk who got her fired from her last job. As if she didn’t have enough on her plate already she now has to deal with Jakes daily mood swings. If he wasn’t so good looking she might find the energy to hate him more.

Jake Cavanaugh knows what he wants and goes out to get it, in business and in life. He knows he is an alpha male and takes everything opportunity to show his nature to unsuspecting women who take his fancy. From the first moment he laid eyes on Lilly he wanted her, firecracker nature and all, even more so when she starts to play his little back and forth game – passion bubbling under the surface. When he returns from a business trip to find that she is his new assistant you would think he would be pleased but he is more shocked than anything and goes right into jerk mode – almost making her leave for good.

The chemistry back and forth between them is great and when they start to get close you can see where it could build too – they definitely both crave each other! They both have secrets though that have kept them from having lasting relationships in the past and Lilly’s could see her hurt. When someone from her past makes an appearance again Jake goes into full on alpha male mode with trying to protect her. Only problem is that he soon becomes more domineering than caring and ends up pushing her away, right into danger. They say never judge a book by its cover and the same goes for men. The ones who seem too good to be true just might be and I think Lilly needs to open her eyes a bit more to really see what is in front of her.

I liked the back and forth between Lilly and Jake and found that they worked well together. I would have liked them together a bit longer before all the chaos begins so you could really see the feelings developing a bit more between them. Their inner thoughts were a good way of delving deeper into the psyches of their personalities though – very funny at times. The ending is one hell of a ride and you will be on the edge of your seat wondering how it will all play out (would have liked to find out how Tracy and Barry got on though). First book I have read by this author but it won’t be my last.

I received this ARC from the author for my honest review.

More than I expected. Very enjoyable and loved the characters!

Crave was so much more than I was expected from the synopsis. Jake and Lilly both have issues from their past to work through and have a hard time not only trusting each other, but trusting in themselves and the emotions they feel. Their relationship seemed to be something of a "push-pull" affair - they both alternated between pulling each other in and pushing each other away. I think this added to the personality of each character. Both Lilly and Jake were very well-developed. I particularly enjoyed Lilly's character and her outlook on life, and she was very easy to relate to - I could see myself saying "damn hair dryer" since I have experienced mornings just like Lilly has. While Jake was depicted as being a playboy, there was enough back story provided to see it was a protective mechanism so he wouldn't get hurt again.

The story was primarily told from the perspective of both Jake and Lilly) and in the first person. Ms. Delaney did an amazing job with the transitions between the two characters and using the first person perspective - not once was I confused as to who was telling the story, and I feel that it added more to the story to see the different ways Jake and Lilly looked at things, as well as be privy to the internal thoughts each of them have.

We meet Lilly Jacobs at the start of this book, and her day starts off as one of the worst in her life.
Just to make things worse, she runs into Jake Cavanaugh. He's an arrogant F**ker!
This book did pull me in right from word go. I was hooked and needed to know where the journey would take both our lead characters.
The writing is a little off and there is some strange punctuation throughout, but this didn't deter me from a gripping read.
It was an action packed rollercoaster and a few times I found myself holding my breath, waiting to read what will happen next.
I don't reveal spoilers in my reviews, so you will just have to read to find out what happens. I will say this though, be prepared for a whirlwind of emotions to come to the surface.
It was a great story, fairly well written with some spicy scenes.
Overall this is lovely read.
Well done Kiara, I really enjoyed it xx

~~~~~~~~~~Val's ★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
After reading previous books by this author I was excited for this book but it didn't pull me in like the others had. It felt really forced in the first few chapters but then it starts picking up pace and digging in to the story. In the end I really liked the story-line and became invested in the characters.
~~~~~~~~~~Shar's ★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~

This is the third book by this author that I have read. This one was MUCH better than the other two. Even though Jake is an ass most of the time, he pulls thru for Lilly in the end. I loved how they met and then kept running into each other. Made the build up that much better. Characters are well developed. Scenery and character physical descriptions could use a little more detail. Sex scene was hot. Story is told in dual POV which I, personally, love. I wanted to slap the shit out of Lilly for putting up with Cam but she finally saw the light. Some twists and turns. Thought there were going to be some loose ends but the author tied everything up nicely.

This is a stand alone and does have an HEA.

I was gifted a copy of this book for review.
Wow! This is my first book from the Author and it will not be the last. The storyline takes several twists that I definitely was not expecting. Lilly definitely does not have good luck with men. She has run from an abusive ex and her life seems to be going better. That is until one rainy day turns her life upside down.
Jake is an arrogant well let's face it he's a man whore. Because be burned once in love and now has a series of one night stands. Something about the mouthy woman he meets on the bus affects him in a way he never expected. She is mouthy and definitely does not back down.
This story has a rollercoaster of emotions. I look forward to more from this author.

Flipped through a lot of the story. Didn't care too much about the characters. I just didn't connect with the characters and the MC got on my nerves.
