I received this book to give an honest review. What can I say I love zombies, I love watching shows and movies to reading about them. Not sure what it is that attracts me to them but they are fun to read about. With this book there were not as many zombies as was in book one, this story was more of how the Robinson's are trying to adapt to living off the island they have been shipwrecked on.
We see how the family comes together slowly but surely to help each other out. They all have a terrific skill that helps out.
I loved the one part where Liz tells her husband when he is acting different and not himself (though we later learn why) that there is plenty of island. Meaning he can live on one side and her and boys can live where they are now. It felt like something I would say to my husband.
Now you know this story is not going to be without zombies somewhere and they do show up but it isn't anything like it was on book one. I am sure that in book three there are going to be even more zombies and obstacles that this family is going to have to over come.
If you enjoy zombie stories then get this series, I don't think you would be disappointed.

** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.**

'The Swiss Family RobinZOM' series has been intriguing from the first book. As I've said before, I don't usually read zombie books, but the way Perrin Briar writes his stories pulled me in. This second book in the series is has a great storyline. I'm enjoying the way it plays out. Just when you think the Robinson's get a handle on a situation, something seems to test their resolve. I love the family dynamics. The characters have grown as individuals and as a family. Each member has a unique skill that will ultimately aid in their survival. I love the humor throughout. I know the next installment will test each of them, and I look forward to seeing how they adapt to their new life. This series is not your typical 'zombie' story. I look forward to reading book three. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended series.

This book was a connector book between Book 1 (which I have not read yet) and the 3rd in the series (which I have read). In this book the Robinsons find themselves stranded on a tropical island and are the only humans on the island. Given the zombie outbreak in the rest of the world that is a good thing. The story is a classic themed stuck on an island story where they become accustomed with the island and it's plant and animal life and build a home base for their adventures in book 3.

In book two, the Robinson family go about the business of learning how to live, how to grow food, domesticate animals, building a home. All seems secure, but since this does involve zombies, you know they will show up sooner or later.

Quite satisfying set-up for what's to come.

Awesome book. It started right where book 1 ended. It was very detailed and developed. We get to follow the flower family rebuilt their life's after virus outbreak on a island middle of no where. We see them trying to emotional fight and battle with themselves and build or grow stronger as a family. Only thing is how the book finished you started book 1 what happen after they was on island for 6 month's it needed to be part of this book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for an honest opinion

Great story!

A family stranded on a deserted island makes this place a home after a recent zombie outbreak. Well written and vaguely resembles the Swiss Family Robinson. I recommend giving this one a try!

I had a hard time deciding on how many stars to give this book. The first book in the series was full of thrills and chills. This second is a completely different feel. This time the family is setting up home on the island and getting used to their surroundings. We get to know each one of the boys and the parents better, find out what their strengths and weaknesses are, what their personalities are like and how they interact with each other. We see how they can pull together, or pull apart, while trying to create a new world of their own while the outside world may be lost to them forever. This book seemed to move slower than the first but after finishing the book and thinking about it, as part of a series, this book is necessary to set the base for whatever is to come next. That being said, it does have some thrills here and there and the author is a skilled writer and good with dialogue, so the story did flow well. I am definitely looking forward to what is coming next for the family in book 3.

Everyone has probably heard about Swiss Family Robinson right (you know that family from Switzerland that made a home on an island). Well, what happens if zombies was the reason they landed on the deserted island in the first place?

The second book is about them making a home on the island - pretty much the first episode of a new Survivor season when they're making camp and exploring the island. Although in this book nothing else much happened because there wasn't enough zombies in this book at all. Quite frankly, I was a little bored.

Bill, the father irritated me with his "I'm the provider and hero" thing going on and then failing again when there were actual zombies to fight. Need more zombies!

Review: THE SWISS FAMILY ROBINZOM (Book 2)  by Perrin Briar

Does there exist elsewhere a writer's imagination like this? I think surely not. Ever since I first read the hilarious KEEPING MUM, I realized Perrin Briar holds a special portion of writing creativity. His imagination is also wide-ranging. Imagine the Swiss Family Robinson, those poor, intrepid souls--afflicted by zombies! As if shipwreck and potential starvation wasn't troubling enough! Don't miss SWISS FAMILY ROBINZOM Book 1, then follow their further incredible adventures in this new installment!

Another great book by Perrin Briar. Again, I wish I could give it a rating higher than what is allowed by the number of stars here, but I guess I will have to settle for just letting people know in my comments. These books are getting better and better with each one I read. This is the first time I was able to read one of this size in one day in quite some time.

Not a bad Zombie tale. The second act seemed a little drawn out and items would pop up in their inventory that you had to scratch your head at, until you guessed that it must have washed up on shore.
The Robinson family is as well flushed out as the original adventure. And the pirates.....are zombies.

The second series in the novel was much more home establishment as opposed to zombie fighting, nevertheless it was still well written and hopefully set the stage for the next two novels to be more entertaining.

I would like to give this a higher rating than just five stars, but I guess that is the limit. I found it to be a great book!

See my review of the previous book. It's not any different except that I paid for this book.

The author did start to cover the virus and animals which most seem to ignore.
