She joined the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering,Anna University in September 1985 where she was a Professor. She was in charge of the microwave laboratory and was engaged in a number of training, research and teaching programmes of the Anna University in the areas of microwaves, EMI/EMC, electromagnetics and antenna.She is a life member of Society of the EMC Engineers (India) and the Indian Society of Technical Educations (ISTE).
