About the author

Skottie Young has been an illustrator and cartoonist for over ten years working for entertainment and publishing companies such Marvel, Warner Bros., Image, Upper Deck, Mattel, and many more.

He is currently illustrating the New York Times Best Selling and Eisner Award Nominated adaptions of L. Frank Baum's OZ novels with writer Eric Shanower. The series has gained acclaim from both fans and critics.

Skottie currently lives in Illinois with his family, Casey, Baxter and their Saint Bernard, Emma.

As a story, 2 stars at best, it's so simple and bit silly, so baby comic. but that's the point, right?

BUT the art is Fantastically Cute. adorable resemble of the characters, though I didn't know some of them, I'm not big action comics fan, movies is my preference.

And the wit introduction by the writer helped me to increase the rate from 3.5 to 4.

It's a baby comics...so enough with this baby review.

"Διαβάζετε ένα κόμικ όπου μωρά βαράνε άλλα μωρά. Τι μπορεί να λέει αυτό για εσάς;

Με αυτή την "παρατήρηση" μας χαιρετάνε οι δημιουργοί του κόμικ. Και θα μπορούσε κανείς να πει ότι δεν έχουν και άδικο, αφού το κόμικ αυτό είναι κυριολεκτικά οι χαρακτήρες των X-Men και των Avengers σαν μωρά, να πλακώνονται για ένα αρκουδάκι.

Όμως εγω προσωπικά πέρασα πολύ ευχάριστα διαβάζοντας αυτό εδώ, έστω κι αν η υπόθεση ήταν οριακά ανύπαρκτη.

Και πέρασα ωραία γιατί το συγκεκριμένο πέρα από χιούμορ, έχει και τρομερή εικονογράφηση (που, μεταξύ μας, κουβαλάει σχεδόν εξ' ολοκλήρου το κόμικ, αφού δεν υπάρχει και πολύς διάλογος) και μού άρεσε που είδα πολλούς αγαπημένους μου χαρακτήρες και από τις δύο ομάδες να αλληλεπιδρούν μεταξύ τους.

Αν θέλετε κάτι που να διαβάζεται γρήγορα, να είναι ευχάριστο κι όχι ψυχοπλακωτικό και να κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται ό,τι θα κάνει, σας το συστήνω.

For something so short this was incredibly cute!

The story was simple and straight to the point, something I've found (but bear in mind, I've only just started reading comics) doesn't occur very often in the 'serious' comics. It was easy to keep track of characters, even though I've never met the majority of them before and I really liked the style they were drawn in; they were so adorable!

If you're looking for a quick, very light-hearted read then you should definitely pick this up!

CUTEST THING EVER.
Baby versions of the X-Men battle the Avengers when Cyclops nabs Captain America's teddy bear. Silliness ensues. This is a very short, fun read with colorful artwork.

The first page made me laugh. Even the author and artist credits made me laugh (Big Boy Words-Skottie Young, Pretty Picture-Gurihiru, Alphabet-VC's Clayton Cowles, Babysitter-Tom Brennan).

Too cute for it's own good.

On the corner of Fury Dr and Xavier Way is the peaceful neighborhood of Marvelous Meadows. Being tucked into bed is little Steve (Captain America) who is surrounded by his army themed stuffed bears. Wait- Bucky Bear is missing! Peering out the window he sees his neighbor Scott (Cyclops) taunting him with his beloved bear. Steve calls out “Avengers Assemble!” and quickly his team of baby friends has joined him. Scott calls for back up, but laments he has no catchy phrase to get them there. Instead he yells that there is an ice cream truck nearby, and the X-Men babies show up. A battle ensues for the bear between the two teams. There is a cuteness overload as baby representations of all famous Avengers & X-Men duke it out.

Skottie Young is well known for his variant covers of Marvel heroes, so this one-off is funny and good for a single read. Continuing the story any longer would be overkill. As this story should appeal to a younger set, the colors are bold and bright. All the costumes of the team members are recognizable, so no extra dialogue is needed to explain who is who or establish character arcs. Little jokes are also drawn into the panels that adults reading the story will enjoy. A fun and cute read.

Este cómic puede verse como una crítica a la moda de que los eventos de cómic del 2000 en adelante se basan más en héroes peleando a otros héroes en vez de a sus respectivos villanos, como muchas veces estas peleas no nos dan historias interesantes, y los supuestos héroes parecen más niños peleando por un juguete.

O solo es una divertida historia con unos bonitos dibujos de Skottie Young.

A Bebekleri ve X Bebekleri bölümü tam da Scottie Young'dan bekleneceği üzere şirinliklerle ve göndermelerle dolu, tatlı bir bölümdü.

Ama kısa kısa parodilerden oluşan ve Mini- Marvels karakterleriyle alakası olmayan ikinci kısım biraz sıkıcıydı. İzleyici'nin parodisi komikti, Marvel Şimdi Ne Olacak'ta da kendileriyle güzel dalga geçmişlerdi. Geri kalanıysa çok vasattı.

LOL. Ok, I LOVE this. The artistry is cute and the storyline is funny and awesome. Captain America has his Bucky Bear stolen by the evil and mean Cyclops of X-Men. This reminds me a lot of babies fad from the 90’s like the Muppet Babies. Haha! Maybe the Muppet Babies should hop in here and fight for the bear too! :p

Both sides call all their super heroes to fight for the bear! It’s the ultimate insult and showdown between the two franchises. Now I admit that I’m not too familiar with all of the super heroes and with exaggerated artistry it made it more difficult for me to realize who they all were. But that is ok, I still loved this cute, awesome little comic.

As with all Marvel comics, it has DRM. -1.

Fantastic one-shot comic written by Skottie Young and illustrated by Gurihiru. While the story is nothing really important, the art shines through the issue making it cute, and memorable. Baby Captain America's teddy bear (Which is dressed like Bucky Barnes) is stolen by baby Cyclops across the street, and he needs to get it back. Baby Cap calls on the other baby Avengers to help him out (and the scenes of them assembling are so FUCKING CUTE!) while baby Cyclops lures people to his side by saying he hears the ice cream truck, and the war is on!

Again, there's not much to this story, but the art is so wonderfully cute that this should definitely be looked at.

11/10 would also start a giant fight with the x-men for the safety of Bucky Bear. This was really simple, but pretty darn cute and had some fun references and cute illustrations. 3/5 stars (rounded up for Bucky Bear) :)
