A steamy collection of naughty escapes and getaways
HYBRID MATES: SEX ME UP by Nicole Austin
Jaguar shifter, Lindy Rines has no intention of mating some wandering tom cat, but she has every intention of sowing her wild oats on a trip to Paris. A excursion to an exclusive shifter sex club has her meeting Leguar shifter and Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Sebastian Nicoli. He’s oh so sexy and everything she’s said she doesn’t want… dominant. But, oh does this man trip all of her switches. To top it off he’s her true mate… what’s a gal to do? Run, of course. A no holds barred, steamy, fun read.
THE WYNDMASTER’S ESCAPE, Part One by Charlotte Boyett-Compo
I picked this anthology solely based on this author. There are very few books by Charlee that I haven’t read. She has a talent for blending sci-fi, paranormal and hot and steamy romance with angst and love that is out of this world good. The Wyndmaster’s Escape is no exception. This is the tale of womanizing enchanter, Santos Cabrera who has screwed with the wrong woman and landed himself on prison world Helios-Twelve. Santos also just happens to be a Hound of the Burgon… think ruler of the universe and Riezell Guardian, Marisol Diaz has her mission cut out for her when she is sent to retrieve him. What ensues however is a trip into the past where you find out just how connected these two really are. A great start and I can’t wait for the next episode.

A short, hot MM encounter where Andrew is looking to get away from his coworkers and the city for the fourth of July. His trip away promises to turn into something much more rewarding in the long run when he encounters Luke at the beach. Other than the hot sex, this story wasn’t long enough to get a true sense of who the characters are. I enjoyed it nevertheless for the potential Andrew and Luke found in each other.

When Ellie, Sergio and Arturo come together, things get hot and wicked real fast. This is one novella I really enjoyed.

You got a good sense of who the characters were and a great HEA. Maybe I should go investigate BDSM like the heroine Ally does if it nets me a dom like Ross… oh wait, perhaps I already have

A cat-sitting jaunt to Zurich turns into a voyeuristic pleasure for Laurie. Christoph is one hot neighbor and he’s putting on quite the show for his visiting neighbor. When Christoph offers to show Laurie the sites things get even steamier. This was a fun read.

It’s quickly clear that Julie’s affections were never one-sided and where there is a will there is a way. This one get just a turn more interesting when the kink gets turned on.

Perhaps the title should have told me as the blurb for this one certainly didn’t, Moon Dance is a paranormal shifter tale. Will is the Prince of his shifter people. He and Christina have lived numerous past lives together, he as royalty and she as his consort. Moon Dance is not only the tale of their honeymoon but a tale of the dangers they face from old enemies and perhaps new. It is an affirmation of their love and their roles in each other’s lives. I really enjoyed this one and hope this will become part of a series.

Trista, Thane and Alec are on a flight home to Florida when their plane’s navigation system goes wonky and they take a header into the ocean of the Bermuda Triangle. A conk on the head leaves Trista just a bit confused, especially when she discovers she has not one, but two lovers and she’s supposed to choose between them. While these twin wolves are all that and hot as the dickens, it’s pretty obvious just who this she wolf will be choosing. I’m going to have to see if this one is part of a series and what else Ms. Scarlett has to offer.

Bryson Ossnick is in Barcelona to scope out film sites for his debut as a director. He sure didn’t expect to end up at a nude beach ogling Kellen Petric. Kell has had a thing for the slightly older movie star, Bry for years. When former boy band superstar, Kell was asked to do this latest music gig, he certainly didn’t expect he’d get the chance to hook up with Bry. Hell he didn’t know if Bry was bi or gay. Bry certainly wasn’t out if he was. The sparks between these two fly hot and heavy real fast. But more than the awesome hotness between these two, I really enjoyed watching Bry realize this was the one man he would definitely out himself for.

Naughty Literati knows how to put out a box set!!! You get 11 stories in this box set and many new authors I have never read before. This collection has a little some thing for everyone from M/M, menage, historical, dark, contemporary, BDSM to paranormal and shape-shifters.
Now I'm not a Paranormal or Shape-shifter reader but I have found the ones that are in the Naughty Literati box sets are ones that I can read and enjoy. I may not pick them up outside of the box sets but I will read them when they are combined with other stories.
And who can beat the price of .99c for 11 books?? I know that I cant. So get your copy today and get ready for some naughty getaways.

Naughty Escapes (collection) by the Naughty Literati

Eleven tales that focus on vacations and getaways. You’ll find everything from flings to HEAs in various levels of heat and intensity. Well worth the time, especially at the remarkable pricing. Overall rating is 3.5 out of 5.
Hybrid Mates: Sex Me Up by Nicole Austin. (m/f) Lindy Rines, reminded by her absent father that she isn’t getting any younger, drags her best friend from Texas to Paris for a makeover and a chance at a night of hot sex at a very exclusive club that caters to all types and kinds. She isn’t looking for a mate, but sometimes you find what you thought you didn’t want or need. Lindy is determined to run from Sebastian, even though she recognizes him as her mate. Considering how she feels about her father and other cat shifters who have multiple mates, I was a bit surprised that her only problem seemed to be location. The connection was a bit quick, they don’t really know each other. A lot of erotic, detailed sex. Includes anal play and spanking. 3.5 out of 5.
The WyndMaster’s Escape by Charlotte Boyett-Compo. (m/f) Santos Cabrera made a huge mistake when he accepted a sexual bet with a woman who turned out to be the emperor’s daughter. Now Santos is facing death in a desert no-man’s land. Former lover Marisol Diaz is sent to rescue him, making her remember how they previously met. While it is always nice to have science fiction romance to read, I really have to like the main characters to make it work for me. Santos was a hard sell due to his horn dog activities. It was lovely to see Chichen Itza as the locale for the main flashback as I’ve actually been there. I climbed El Castillo, I wandered through the ball field, I sat dangling my legs over the edge of the well, I saw the fog enclosing the grounds with a supernatural feel. Now let’s get to my main complaint and the reason I couldn’t give a rating. It wasn’t a complete story. In addition, there was no warning of that fact. It won’t be continued (no word on whether it will be completed then) until September in Naughty Reunions. N/R out of 5.
Fireworks at the Lake by Berengaria Brown. (m/m) Andrew’s self-confidence had been shot to hell after his last relationship disintegrated. But a chance meeting with Luke may be just what he needs to get his groove back. There’s no indication that this is anything but a vacation fling. So this isn’t really Happily Ever After, it is more Happy For Now, a nice little interlude. I liked Andrew enough to wish for him a longer story. 3.5 out of 5.
Punting on the River Cam by Lainey-Jo Charles. (m/f) Niell Bennett has traveled to Cambridge to attend his friend and coworker’s marriage. Carissa Weldon, close friend of the bride, finds an immediate attraction to Niell, one that is reciprocated. A sweet romance with a tour of Cambridge and a bit of heat once the two characters unite in sexual congress. This is not a story filled with action. In fact, I think it might be considered overlong. But it was decently written and should appeal to those who like a slower read. 3 out of 5.
One Hot Havana Night by Suz deMello. (m/f/m) In 1958, shortly before the Castro brothers pushed Baptista out of Cuba, reporter Helen Wheeler is looking for a story. Sergio Almonte is reported to control the prostitution in Havana. He makes a deal with her. Sex for a story. We go from sweet to super hot with this one. I’m not usually a fan of threesomes. I think it is difficult to maintain and make realistic, not to mention avoiding possessiveness and jealousy. However, I think to a great extent, deMello has done a fantastic job here. The hookup between the three might come a bit fast and even perhaps have a hint of non-con, considering that Ellie was a virgin and inexperienced despite her reputation. But, truthfully, Ellie is a willing participant. 4 out of 5.
Shake It Up! by Francesca Hawley. (m/f) The last person Allyson Rayburn wants to run into is the man who was her Dom during her BDSM research session at a local club. Startled by her reaction to flogging, she had called off the session before completion. Now, thanks to an earthquake, she is trapped in an elevator with Ross Morgan. We’ve moved from scorching hot to downright erotic with D/s play between a knowledgable Dom and a newbie submissive. This is a good primer for readers who might not be familiar with the lifestyle, yet it isn’t graphic. Not my thing, but I can understand the appeal when done by a talented writer such as Hawley. 4 out of 5.
Window Display by Regina Kammer. (m/f) Laurie Grainger was invited to cat and house sit for friends in Zurich, giving her time to finish her dissertation in relative peace. She never expected to be attracted to neighbor Christoph Hunziker, a blond god of a man. A lovely take of lonely hearts who find each other at last. Intense and warmly satisfying. 4 out of 5.
The Lake by Moonlight by Katherine Kingston. (m/f) Professor Antonio Farnese called for his former student to assess recently acquired artwork. Julie had found herself attracted to her married teacher years earlier. Now Antonio is a widower with a bad leg and Julie has become a respected art expert for a museum in New York. Normally I have no time for a character who has committed or thought of committing adultery, but Kingston makes it clear that Antonio’s marriage was arranged and not a love match. Still…married. There’s almost a Harlequin Presents vibe in this story. An alpha male who is older and wealthy, star-crossed lovers with a second chance, heroine who never found a man who could compare to her first love. Even with an American heroine, this story has a very European feel to it. None of that should be taken as a bad thing. Kingston has, to my mind, taken the best from Presents and tweaked it even better. There is a little kink in the form of spanking. 4 out of 5.
Moon Dance by Terry Rissen. (m/f) Will is taking Christina on a honeymoon, combined with Luminis business in Europe. What was supposed to be a simple trip quickly turns nasty when someone comes after the Prince’s Consort. Continuing Will and Christina’s story from Blue Plate Special which can be found in Naughty Flings. Although it has only been a year, Christina in particular has grown immensely. A universe that is getting more interesting by the installment. 4 out of 5.
The Bermuda Love Triangle by Belle Scarlett. (m/f) Trista’s plane crashed into the Bermuda Triangle, leaving her with amnesia and two gorgeous brothers who claim she must choose between them. Kellen Petric was a successful musician who was definitely attracted to Bry. But Kel wasn’t into closeted men, so how will he chose? Sweet and hot, both at the same time. I’m pleased to see that Silver will be continuing their story in the next collection. I adored both men. 4.5 out of 5.

Hybrid Mates: Sex Me Up by Nicole Austin. (m/f) Lindy Rines, reminded by her absent father that she isn’t getting any younger, drags her best friend from Texas to Paris for a makeover and a chance at a night of hot sex at a very exclusive club that caters to all types and kinds. She isn’t looking for a mate, but sometimes you find what you thought you didn’t want or need. Lindy is determined to run from Sebastian, even though she recognizes him as her mate. Considering how she feels about her father and other cat shifters who have multiple mates, I was a bit surprised that her only problem seemed to be location. The connection was a bit quick, they don’t really know each other. A lot of erotic, detailed sex. Includes anal play and spanking. 3.5 out of 5.
The WyndMaster’s Escape by Charlotte Boyett-Compo. (m/f) Santos Cabrera made a huge mistake when he accepted a sexual bet with a woman who turned out to be the emperor’s daughter. Now Santos is facing death in a desert no-man’s land. Former lover Marisol Diaz is sent to rescue him, making her remember how they previously met. While it is always nice to have science fiction romance to read, I really have to like the main characters to make it work for me. Santos was a hard sell due to his horn dog activities. It was lovely to see Chichen Itza as the locale for the main flashback as I’ve actually been there. I climbed El Castillo, I wandered through the ball field, I sat dangling my legs over the edge of the well, I saw the fog enclosing the grounds with a supernatural feel. Now let’s get to my main complaint and the reason I couldn’t give a rating. It wasn’t a complete story. In addition, there was no warning of that fact. It won’t be continued (no word on whether it will be completed then) until September in Naughty Reunions. N/R out of 5.
Fireworks at the Lake by Berengaria Brown. (m/m) Andrew’s self-confidence had been shot to hell after his last relationship disintegrated. But a chance meeting with Luke may be just what he needs to get his groove back. There’s no indication that this is anything but a vacation fling. So this isn’t really Happily Ever After, it is more Happy For Now, a nice little interlude. I liked Andrew enough to wish for him a longer story. 3.5 out of 5.
Punting on the River Cam by Lainey-Jo Charles. (m/f) Niell Bennett has traveled to Cambridge to attend his friend and coworker’s marriage. Carissa Weldon, close friend of the bride, finds an immediate attraction to Niell, one that is reciprocated. A sweet romance with a tour of Cambridge and a bit of heat once the two characters unite in sexual congress. This is not a story filled with action. In fact, I think it might be considered overlong. But it was decently written and should appeal to those who like a slower read. 3 out of 5.
One Hot Havana Night by Suz deMello. (m/f/m) In 1958, shortly before the Castro brothers pushed Baptista out of Cuba, reporter Helen Wheeler is looking for a story. Sergio Almonte is reported to control the prostitution in Havana. He makes a deal with her. Sex for a story. We go from sweet to super hot with this one. I’m not usually a fan of threesomes. I think it is difficult to maintain and make realistic, not to mention avoiding possessiveness and jealousy. However, I think to a great extent, deMello has done a fantastic job here. The hookup between the three might come a bit fast and even perhaps have a hint of non-con, considering that Ellie was a virgin and inexperienced despite her reputation. But, truthfully, Ellie is a willing participant. 4 out of 5.
Shake It Up! by Francesca Hawley. (m/f) The last person Allyson Rayburn wants to run into is the man who was her Dom during her BDSM research session at a local club. Startled by her reaction to flogging, she had called off the session before completion. Now, thanks to an earthquake, she is trapped in an elevator with Ross Morgan. We’ve moved from scorching hot to downright erotic with D/s play between a knowledgable Dom and a newbie submissive. This is a good primer for readers who might not be familiar with the lifestyle, yet it isn’t graphic. Not my thing, but I can understand the appeal when done by a talented writer such as Hawley. 4 out of 5.
Window Display by Regina Kammer. (m/f) Laurie Grainger was invited to cat and house sit for friends in Zurich, giving her time to finish her dissertation in relative peace. She never expected to be attracted to neighbor Christoph Hunziker, a blond god of a man. A lovely take of lonely hearts who find each other at last. Intense and warmly satisfying. 4 out of 5.
The Lake by Moonlight by Katherine Kingston. (m/f) Professor Antonio Farnese called for his former student to assess recently acquired artwork. Julie had found herself attracted to her married teacher years earlier. Now Antonio is a widower with a bad leg and Julie has become a respected art expert for a museum in New York. Normally I have no time for a character who has committed or thought of committing adultery, but Kingston makes it clear that Antonio’s marriage was arranged and not a love match. Still…married. There’s almost a Harlequin Presents vibe in this story. An alpha male who is older and wealthy, star-crossed lovers with a second chance, heroine who never found a man who could compare to her first love. Even with an American heroine, this story has a very European feel to it. None of that should be taken as a bad thing. Kingston has, to my mind, taken the best from Presents and tweaked it even better. There is a little kink in the form of spanking. 4 out of 5.
Moon Dance by Terry Rissen. (m/f) Will is taking Christina on a honeymoon, combined with Luminis business in Europe. What was supposed to be a simple trip quickly turns nasty when someone comes after the Prince’s Consort. Continuing Will and Christina’s story from Blue Plate Special which can be found in Naughty Flings. Although it has only been a year, Christina in particular has grown immensely. A universe that is getting more interesting by the installment. 4 out of 5.
The Bermuda Love Triangle by Belle Scarlett. (m/f) Trista’s plane crashed into the Bermuda Triangle, leaving her with amnesia and two gorgeous brothers who claim she must choose between them. The Wyndmaster's Esxape, Part One by Charlotte Boyett-Compo - What would cause a man to get dumped in the middle of a desert climate planet with no shoes on his feet, no way to get to shelter, and no water? The answer to that question is a good one. But you must read to find out what this man did, who he did it to or with, and who or what that being was. This feels like a sci-fi story, mixed with fantasy for the planets that are described as being in this megaverse. Who is this guardian that issues a challenge that he takes up the mantle for? What happens when someone is sent after the WyndMaster? Where do they find him, how, and what is happening in the location where he is found? Why does he feel the need to visit Terra? What do they end up seeing there, during the Summer Solstice?
Fireworks at the Lake by Berengaria Brown - This was a quick read. Andrew and Luke are both single men at the beach, eyeing each other, but too nervous to make the first move. Once the tide starts coming in, one of them speaks to the other. It is the Fourth of July weekend, fireworks will be happening that night in the sky. Will fireworks be going off for these two strangers as well? You really need to read this one to find out.

Moon Dance by Terry Rissen - Will and Christina start out the story flying somewhere. What is their secret? Who are they or what are they? What happens during their honeymoon in Europe? What has them fighting and loving so passionately? Who are these people that surround them and hope for the future, because of them? Who are they? You really must read to see about this paranormal tale, quite different from others I have read.

What would it be like to be a shifter, alpha female and then come across an alpha male that your heart fell in love with? What would you do if you suddenly found yourself falling for another, or him for you, that looked like your shifter, smelled almost like your shifter, but had a completely different personality? Even harder, when your shifter shows up at your door for a date and hears him inside your room with you? You say you will tell them your answer when you're back on the main land instead of an island, then you have a plane crash in the ocean. What do you do? Who do you choose? What happens when you choose? Do you ever get to leave the island?

The person leaves the beach, then comes back with a coke, with real sugar - not like what you get in the USofA. Who is this boy band guy and who are the band members he is with at this wedding that Bryson has been invited to? Who invites him and why? Read this book and find out. It sure is an eye opener and a fun read.

This was a fun, sexy, and steamy collection of stories that each had a little something different within. With shifter, ménage, m/m, and BDSM, and more, there is something for everyone within these pages. Not every story was amazing, but there was not a bad story in the collection. I’ll give my rating of each, but will give more detail on the ones that I liked best. Overall, this was a great read and I give it a full 5 Stars for the entire book!
Hybrid Mates: Sex Me Up by Nicole Austin – Lindy goes to a sex club in Paris for her 29th birthday. Sebastian sees her and requests time with the beautiful jaguar and they two spend a steamy night together. But, during their encounter, the find out that Sebastian is Lindy’s one true mate! Lindy doesn’t want to commit and settle down. Especially, not somewhere other than her hometown of Houston, Texas. She runs home and continues working, but Sebastian finds here and informs her that he also lives in the same town. Lindy is relieved and allows her mate to mark her as his forever. My Rating: 5 Stars
The Wyndmaster’s Escape by Charlotte Boyett-Compo – This was a fast paced read that was well done. Very detailed and great writing. My Rating: 4 Stars
Fireworks at the Lake by Berengaria Brown – This was a real quickie of a story with a quickie of a tryst. Andrew is vacationing at the lake for the long Independence Day weekend when he spots a sexy “Viking” sitting on the shore ahead of him. The Viking is named Luke, and Luke approaches Andrew and the two go for lunch together. After spending the afternoon talking and getting to know each other, they grab a quick dinner and watch the fireworks together….while making a few of their own. This was VERY SEXY!! My Rating: 4 Stars
Punting on the River Cam by Lainey-Jo Charles – I think this one is my favorite out of the entire anthology. Niell and Carissa are both in England for their friends’ wedding. NIell works with the groom and Carissa has known the bride since childhood. The two notice each other and end up meeting up while out for a walk, separately. They hit it off right away and end up taking a punt out on the river at the Cambridge campus. A punt is a gondola type of boat that can be rented. After their outing, they get caught in the rain and end up kissing (heatedly) on the university campus while waiting for the rain to let up. After racing back to the Inn, they shower and meet up for a sex, steamy, night of passion in Carissa’s room. Later, at the wedding, Niell pulls Carissa into a room at the church for some sexy time before the ceremony begins. This one was so smexy and HOT HOT HOT!! My Rating: 5 Stars

I found this anthology to be great, it introduced me to several authors that I will definitely be keeping an eye on.
1. Hybrid Mates: Sex me up by Nicole Austin: This was a hot sexy read that will make you want your own doctor.
2. The Wyndmaster's Escape by Charlotte Boyette-Compo: Great love story about Santos and Marisol. This is part 1 of a futuristic love story, you are also left with a cliffhanger. Will Santos and Marisol find what they are looking for?
3. Fireworks at the lake by Berengia Brown: This is a short story about Andrew who is looking for love. He meets Luke a hot Viking. Will the sparks fly between these two?

None of these authors I have read before. NONE. Of the nine that I did read, each and every one left me wanting to read longer stories by those authors.
I want to see what each author can do with more space to play with, to grow and develop characters and their stories. Because although these are short, the lack the depth of a longer book. And I don't mean that in a negative way. I'm just stating a fact that in 4 chapters, you can only do so much.
344 pages of holiday reading. But I didn't read them on holiday, I read them in the bathtub. So, they are equally perfect for the bath tub, the lunch break, the need-something-quick-read, the hangover-cure.
And for the current price (Sept 8th 2015) of 99p (amazon.co.uk) and $1.52 (amazon.com) and availale on unlimited, its a bargain.

I have enjoyed most of the stories. They are sexy and steamy. All and each one of them is written perfectly and pull the reader straight away into the story line. Sensual, seductive and extremely descriptive. I have enjoyed most of them, even though some are not my normal books I would pick by myself.
I'm not going to review all of the stories separately. I don't want to pull the full anthology apart and I prefer treating it as a one hot book with different POVs.
Before I have received this compilation I have not read any books by the authors here. And to be honest I have not even heard of them, but since I have read it I have picked up some of the authors and downloaded their books to see what they are capable off with a full length story.
The anthology is good if you are looking for few different sexy stories.

Some sexier than others and some more interesting than others, but overall a really decent collection. I found a couple of new (to me) authors within this collection that I will definitely be watching out for. My favorite tale is The Bermuda Love Triangle by Belle Scarlett. She is one I will be watching out for. What's not to love about sexy twin shifters. It is actually a bit of an emotional story and well developed in a short amount of time. Naughty Escapes is a collection of 11 short stories of various genres.
For the most part I enjoyed each story and though there were one or two that just weren't my thing, they were all well written and did keep me interested. This collection introduced me to new authors who piqued my interest enough to check out their other works.
The Bermuda Love Triangle- twins, yes TWIN shifters!! And Hybrid Mates, you can't go wrong with a story about a BDSM club,

I like when I get introduced to authors that I had yet to know of and makes me want to read more of their work. Naughty Literari knows how to heat things up! This box set like some of their others is all about the heat with the side vacation. If you are someone looking for a hot read for your vacation then this is it right here. Each story was wonderfully written to where I wanted to keep reading. I will be going back and enjoying this a second time and maybe a third time around.

Honestly I couldn't get into this one and it's a DNF. The 2 stories that I did read were definitely naughty, I just couldn't read anymore after the first two. I didn't like the way the stories were written or type of story it was. I was sent the sign-up through a PR company and the blurb seemed interesting enough, but it didn't have the stories broken down individually, otherwise I wouldn't have requested it. I'm sure others will/do love this book, but it just wasn't for me.
