A dog destined for tragedy and a families' quest to bring him home.
The incredible story of Miracle the Dog, destined to become a victim of the illegal dog-meat trade in Thailand, who was adopted by Amanda Leask and has become a treasured companion to her six-year-old mute son who was born with cerebral palsy and autism. The book charts Miracle's rescue, rehabilitation and also, importantly, the special bond Miracle shares with Amanda's son Kyle.
Having 2 Romanian rescues myself I found this book very inspiring. My first one came from the kill shelter, nobody wanted her and she is the most wonderful little dog, the second is a Mioritic mix, who was found by a lady with a small shelter on a dump with her sister. They have bought me such joy I also have a rescue border collie and husky both previously living in flats who I run with. She is such an amazing lady helping a!l these dogs and educating people about the plight of these wonderful dogs. Great Book could not put it down.
An inspiring true story of a very special bond between a very special dog and a very special little boy whose Mum fought endlessly to save both of them.
As a rescue dog mum I loved every minute of this book. The heartache that Amanda and her family have endured and then the highs just kept me reading more and more. This is a must read for sure!!
