Tomás Carrera didn’t expect Alice Peterson to rock his world.
Growing up with a single mom and as the eldest of five siblings, Tomás has had to be responsible all his life. Now his super star soccer status has provided for his family and allowed him to let his hair down… and that’s just what he’s doing.
Signed to the Santa Ana Saints, Tomás is catching up for lost time with fast women, a fast Ducati motorcycle and a bevy of adoring fans. That is, until he loses his heart to Alice and is torn with wanting her and his independence.

Let me say that being new to this author I really enjoyed her book and her writing style. From start to finish the book was full of romance and passion and the perfect amount of drama.
My favorite part of this book was the lessons. Lets just say that I would love to have this Latin lover be my teacher! And the accent, wow, I wanted to rip off my panties every time he talked! Few, fan the flames on that one.
So as I said I really enjoyed this book but at the same time I really wasn't a fan of Alice. I spent way to much time skimming through her thoughts. She was naive to the point of being extremely annoying. I wanted to shake her and just tell her to grow up and grow a back bone some times. NO guy wants a desperate girl even if she is a virgin. As much as I loved Tomas and the other characters like Lucas and Mia, I just couldn't quite love Alice as much.
I would honestly have rated this book a 3 if it wasn't for the love of Tomas and all of the other sexy Saints players that we met in this book. The Russian, Ed and even meeting Nik at the end really made this book. I mean the description alone of the sexy god was enough to make me melt.
So overall this was a good book and I definitely want to see what the author does with this series.
This is the seond book in this series and I was glad to get it. But I have to admit, it was not as good as the first one. The main reason for this ist Alice. Especially at the beginning, she is very needy and a bit week. She really comes across as a typical fan-girl, who just wants to get into bed with a sports star. during the story she develops nicely and in the end I quite liked her.
Nevertheless, I loves Tomas. His is a good character and I loved also how the secondary characters were introduced. this made me want the next book badly.
also I liked how the whole story evolves and how both of them get to know each other
Team Tomas’ is a great sequel to Ally Adams first book of The Saints series – Team Lucas.
Tomas is a charismatic Latin lover, with a wild bad boy vibe that attracts women like a bees to honey, but his undeniable attraction to Alice is unsettling to say the least.
While the story starts out a little slow, it definitely gets moving when unexpected events force them together and heartache is destined to yet again tear then apart.
A fun, sexy and emotional read, with a big focus on the value of friends and family.
I’m really looking forward to book 3, and hoping it’s about The Russian!
Found this book so addictive, when I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it!
This book is hot hot hot! Very steamy at times! I love the attraction between the two characters. The scene when Alice lets it slip she is a virgin is soooo good, I loved the respect and restraint Tomas showed when he found out during the almost sex scene!
Alice grows on me during the book, starting out as a groupie of sorts but than surprises me as she matures greatly throughout! Tomas is sexy a hell and is so romantic and likeable so not needing to say much more as u will fall In love with him like I did which is surprising as Lucas is usually my type!
I love that although this is a standalone book, it includes characters I have already read (Lucas and Mia) and seeing their relationship develop further even if it’s just from the sidelines. By the end of the book ally has me wanting to know more about Nik and the Russian 😍

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre: Romance. I love this kind of read, a stand-alone romance but part of a series with connected characters. When you pick up a book later in the series and meet some from earlier books it’s like seeing old friends. I’ve not read any of ally’s work before but will look forward to more from the Saints series. Alice, or as Tomas calls her All...iss, is a great lead. She’s likeable and that’s really important to me. she’s had a crush on Tomas for a long time, had posters of him on her wall as a high school student, and now she’s close to graduating her Events Management course and embarking on her working life and independence. Her best friend goes out with Lucas, the Saints team Captain, and she tells Alice there’s a job going in the saints office for Event Coordinator. Alice gets the position and it brings her back into contact with Tomas. She’d already had a close encounter with him, out with her friends, including Mia and Lucas, celebrating ta team win where he seemed to like her. Tomas seems to give out mixed signals though, he chats and texts, then its silence again, he asks her out.....but for coffee, and she feels that kind of Friend Zones her, like dinner is too much...then out celebrating another win she goes home with Tomas, having had rather too much to drink. She’s excited to think she’ll finally lose her virginity, but Tomas is shocked soon as he knows she’s a virgin and stops, and just gently puts her to bed and sleeps in the spare bedroom. Cue much embarrassment, but it shows again just what a gentleman he is, when he says Virginity is precious and she needs romancing, not a drunken session she may not recall. Trouble is he’s out of contact again – it looks like poor Alice isn’t going to get romanced by him... There’s a lot of this hot and cold, back and forth, along with seeing Tomas training and playing and Alice settling into her new job. I really enjoyed the back and forth of this, it made Alice's fears oh so real. Who hasn’t been in that “ should I contact him or wait? does he really like me or think of me as a friend?” Its coloured too by Tomas reputation as a bit of a man whore, with a different lady each time. He’s known as a one and done type, but they all agree he’s worth it even if it is just the once! Finally, finally he makes a move, and he and Alice get together. He’s a real sweetheart then, taking thinks slowly by way of some sensual and erotic lessons, and waiting to ensure she’s happy with those before they go further. Just when its looking so good something major comes in – a real downer, and that led to some of that deep emotional parts that I love. There were things here that I felt could have been played up more, some jealousies perhaps, some nice bi tch moments maybe, but it was still a great part and worked in well with the story and characters. I loved too that fact that its not just a Tomas and Alice story, that we see them doing other things, meet other people and that makes for a realistic and well rounded romance. The only thing holding back that last half star is that I felt the sad part came quite early – that’s fine, it was nicely strung out but then after that it was quite a while til the end, and I was expecting something else to happen...Still, its a great read, and I look forward to more from Ally. Stars: Four and a half, a fun sexy read. . ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers
When your heart falls it falls hard and when you’re Alice Peterson 21, and your still a virgin what do you do? You see her friend Mia had become “the minder” and now the live-in girlfriend to Lucas the Santa Ana Saints Captain Soccer team. Not long after Mia started Lucas had a party at his home and Alice went. When she was there she met and had a few dances with Tomas Carrera goal keeper for the Saints. He never asked for her numbers though. Then they ran into each other another time he asked for her number but only texted her once. When he sees Mia he asks about her. Then they’re at a post part at a local pub and he runs into Mia with Alice and a few of her college friends. That same night a guy from the college that Alice would have given her eye teeth to be with comes in he sees Lucas hanging with her and Tomas coming over to say Hi. They make eye contact Finn and Alice and he does the chin lift to her saying hi. She does the quick hand up no wiggle to the fingers. Tomas sees it all. Was he jealous? He ask her out to dance and says, “Why haven’t you called me Al..iss!” (That’s how he says her name.) There’s one thing Tomas doesn’t know is that two past “F” buddies talking about being with him were at the bar and she heard them talking about how he is as a lover and what he gives as a going away gift for the one nighter. They said he likes it hard and fast. That afterwards he gives gifts like jewelry. The more she was put off with him the more he wanted from her. So when everyone was leaving it was understood he take Alice home. Lucas even gave him the warning look, like she is Mia’s friend don’t mess with her. Instead he takes her to his house. Take her to his room things get hot and heavy he started to become rough. As she remember hearing about so she wasn’t too afraid. When he asked what position she wanted to try first she said she didn’t know she’d never tried any before. He froze when he got her meaning. He freaked. Saying, “Oh no not happening. Not this way it was to be special not with him.” She said yes she wanted him. He took off to the master bathroom where he was gone so long that she fell asleep. Tomas the next morning was gone to training by the time she woke up. Going into the kitchen she runs into Tomas’ sister, Valentina, who is just gorgeous. A full figured gal but on her it looked fantastic. She was very sweet considering Alice was doing the walk of shame. Other than that night it’s been 2 weeks before she hears from him again. When she does boy game on until a secret he kept nearly ends them altogether. See how the feathers fly as he pays the price of his own making. Totally enjoyed. I give this 5 stars. Mmmmh, Tomás - mi corazón. "I'll remember [you] until my dying breath", too.
Yellow Card, Red Card, V-Card... wait, what?! - Here comes [no pun intended... *cough*...] your sensual latin lover number one, Tomás Carrera. On a motorcycle. And with an accent. I guess I can't be sure if my reading devices kept overheating because of the weather, or if it was Tomás!
Either way, you're in for a big treat. The story of Alice and Tomás is heartwarming, yet also heartbreaking, and not to forget heart-mending, while Tomás himself is sexy, steaming, and sensual, without being all too smug about it.
Team Tomás is definitely different from Team Lucas, part one in the Saints series, but I love it just the same. Personally, I have never been the biggest fan of soccer, and I had never thought I would ever fall for boys who play with balls, but thanks to Ally Adams I will most probably be adding a whole team to my list of book-boyfriends... and speaking of the team - I really hope we'll get a book about The Russian, who seems really fun and entertaining, and I honestly cannot wait for the next installment in the series, in which we will be meeting German Nik up close and personal. But I am getting ahead of myself here...
While the story of Tomás and Alice is one that isn't off to the best and easiest start, bearing conflict and obstacles, it is certainly a very hot one - yet, the outside world is not forgotten, and the novel also beautifully underlines the importance of both family and friendship.
Full of interesting, well-developed, fun-to-meet characters and a great story all around, Team Tomás is a book I am sure you will not be disappointed in - especially if you've enjoyed reading Team Lucas! As I have mentioned before though, Team Tomás is very different from the first book in the series, and it was amazing to see how diverse Ally Adams's writing is. She has managed to publish two books on the same day, not only written from different point of views that are very easy to tell apart, but also setting extremely different tones and creating explicitly dissimilar atmospheres. I am looking forward to seeing what places Ally's future writing will take us, and what characters she will be giving us the pleasure of meeting.

Team Tomás” had little bit of a rocky start, not really getting interesting until major discord arose between the two main characters, Alice and Tomás.
The book teased a bit by opening with Alice waking up in Tomás’ bed after a night partying. But, we soon learn that he was a gentleman and didn’t touch her.
She’s eaten up with him, but he’s determined to steer clear of her; he doesn’t want to be someone’s first lover. She gets hired by his team for social media and events planning, putting her in his orbit. He finds reasons to see her and begins seducing her, teaching her the ways of temptation with foreplay. She’s up for the challenge as long as he’s all in and willing to eventually go all the way.
Alice has an amazing first week at work, between the job, great coworkers, plenty of eye candy (the guys on the team) and Tomás’ lessons.
But, looming is a woman from Tomás’ past, one he won’t talk to her about, whose flying in from Buenos Aires to stay with Tomás.
Things really heat up and the book takes off for me, when Tomás’ sister announces at a jazz club that the woman, who is wrapped all around Tomás, is his longtime girlfriend. Alice is done. She and Mia leave and she dodges his calls and him until Tomás literally corners her at work in The Russian’s office.
She gets a save from one of the guys at work, with the understanding she owes him one and he will collect if their relationship issues affect Tomás’ game.
When that happens, Alice gets a call at halftime and is instructed to make good with Tomás so the Saints don’t lose. She does, then has to talk to him the next day.
Tomás, who didn’t set out looking for a relationship or commitment, just a good time being free from the responsibility of helping care for his mom and siblings. He turned out to be sweet. And who can resist that Latin accent?
But, there’s no HEA at the end of this Saints Team novel. But, Tomás did get his girl in the end and Alice lost her virginity to a guy she’s crazy for.
And, Tomás, Alice and friends have formed an interesting crew: the three girls who were great pals from school to college, Alice and Mia’s converted players, Cassie and her new guy Rick the professor and Nik the German. Lucas and Mia are still great together (read the fabulous Team Lucas if you haven’t already for their story).
Can’t Wait for The Russian... from Boston... Looking forward to Nik and the Sasha’s story next.
Ah the Saints, soccer players, hot men, and lots of deliciousness in this book that’s for sure. It’s not like the first book in this series it’s on its own playing field but still just as good. This was the steamy Saints, I mean what else you would expect from a Latin Lover! It’s as if Team Lucas was just a warmup for this steaminess that is Team Tomas, well done!
We know from the first book that Alice definitely had a thing for Tomas, who knew it would be reciprocated so much, she definitely tamed the wild latin lover from his ways and it was entertaining to read. The two of them definitely have some very steamy scenes together, and some really great moments but I wouldn’t have minded learning more about the two of them, it seemed like their relationship was revolved around Alice losing her virginity. I mean I can completely understand because she just wanted to do it already and not have that hanging over her head, but it seemed like they just jumped into things a bit. But I still loved it.
It was really great seeing Mia and Lucas from the first book, but I really enjoyed learning more about the other players and being introduced to new characters especially Sasha, love that name. Looks like there might be something there, hopefully we’ll find out soon enough. But there was also a focus more on the Russian, Ed and Nik at the end of the book. Love all the characters and I can only imagine walking into the saint’s place with all the super-hot guys roaming around. Girls dream come true that’s for sure!
Overall I liked the book, not as much as the first one but still enjoyed it from beginning to end and I couldn’t put it down because I had to see what would happen next between the two of them. But really wanted more story then just pure pleasure. Love the cover though, very appropriate and sexy.
Can’t wait to read the next book about Niklas because he seems like this will be a good story. Especially since his love interest will be Sasha … watch out now!
I really enjoyed the first book but unfortunately I didn't enjoy this one as much, I think the highlight for me was seeing Mia and lucas as a couple and seeing a better side to lucas than what we was shown in first book, I warmed up to him a hell of a lot more.
I really liked Alice but there was times I felt like shaking her silly when it came to tomas, I get that she was a Virgin but I felt she was completely nieve and annoyed me with things like
“Maybe he just wants to play the field and respects you too much to take your virginity in his stride,”Mia suggested. “Take it, take it, I’m begging for him to take it,”I whined pathetically. “I don’t care if he is rough; if the super gorgeous Tomás Carrera can take my virginity I’ll live with rough, hell I’ll live with not being able to sit for a week.”
its like she's so desperate for Tomas because he's a hottie and there's nothing about liking each other for personality at all, oh we get Tomas saying he likes her but it's all based on looks, which yea you have to be attracted to someone but jeez at least put some personality across. like with mia and Lucas I loved mia as a person she was spunky and I loved how she didn't let Lucas get away with shit, yet I found Alice the complete opposite she would hang on to any attempt at contact with Tomas. I loved Alice when she was with other characters and we saw her fun side, sassy side to her I just felt Tomas didn't bring out the best in her at all.
I found them ok as individuals but didn't really feel them as a couple
For me, this was about as good as the first one and there were different reasons for enjoying this one. I did find the insta-love a bit hard to believe. They didn't actually suffer from insta-love but it was like they were in a more realistic like/lust situation and then, boom- they were declaring love. A bit more of transition would have been nice.
One thing I thought the author did excellently was her Brazilian accent. I'm no expert but I ALWAYS had this character's true voice in my head and many authors drop the accent except a few terms here and there. This author was very consistent and boy, that made Tomas even more attractive. I agree with others that the chick seemed a bit fan-girlish in the beginning but I believe that many of gals start as fan-girls and a bit silly when insanely attracted to that kind of hot ass:)
As in the first book, the consistent use of Australian words, terms and sentence structure (in regards to dialogue) was offsetting in that it took me out of story. I knew the author was Australian but if you are detail oriented like I am, just know that the author is most likely writing this for an Australian audience even though there are no Australians in the book and it takes place in California. This did not affect my rating.
Ultimately, a good read and value for being on Kindle Unlimited and a free read for me.
There were several things that bothered me about this book. 1.. The author is clearly not from the US. I don't mind reading books about characters from other countries and I expect there to be some language differences, but in this case, the characters were supposed to be (mostly) from California. They didn't speak or think like Americans. If you want to write a book about Americans, please make sure you get the terms right. 2. Al-iss - Every time Tomas said her name, the author spelled it like that. We get it, he's got an accent. We don't need to be reminded every time. 3. I can see being sex-starved as a virgin, but to have three guys all hitting on her at once, all unexpectedly. come on. And she seemed to think about having sex with all of them? 4. There needs to be some grammar and spelling editing done on this story.
Copy courtesy of Netgalley This is the second in the series. A standalone with a HEA. I really enjoyed the first book in the series and was looking forward to reading this one. I was really looking to see the same formula. The first book had more lighter and made me laugh. This one was different. It was a lot sexier. It was still a pretty clean romance. I liked both characters. Alice was a little naive but I liked that she stuck to her guns when she found out about Tomas. She was nice without be a doormat. Tomas was the typical young hot star athlete. He enjoyed the benefits and didn't make excuses. He was a gentleman to Alice. A plus to this book is that we get to visit with Mia and Lucas again. You get to see Mia's influence on Lucas. short read with very little angst.
I was given a free copy of this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book is book 2 of the Saints team books. I really really loved book 1 (Team Lucas) and this book's story was good. The thing that distracted from the book for me was all the slang that didn't fit with the book. Neither Alice or Tomas were British but there was a lot of British slang that just didn't fit. And all the shorted text message passages were hard to follow. I don't know too many people that short text anymore with iphone and android phones.
But the story of Alice and Tomas was sweet and fit well with the story and theme.
I hope that book 3 will be better and I cannot wait to read it.
This book was really good, just like the first one and I'm happy I found this new author. The only problem I had was heroine's thinking at the beginning when she had all the thoughts and actions of a groupie but kept thinking in her head she should watch the way she acts so she doesn't look like one. In her opinion she wasn't one but she totally was and it was beyond annoying hearing her thoughts. If it wasn't for this the book would be a 5 star read, so I'll be eagerly reading the next book soon.
My panties are just melting off sweet Jesus, Tomás, “next, I’m going to dine you, Al... iss,” Tomás said, in his sexy Spanish accent, “but I will make you work it off later,” He's a strange boy at times, “I know. I love your butt. I’ve seen it up close.” He's quite the possessive one, “no one has touched you? You are still my virgin ?” he asked, his fingers dancing around the borders of my dress." I like this series the men seem to bust each other's balls and it's amusing.
i'm going to be honest this one was sort of difficult for me. I loved Mia and Lucas and the highlights of this book were seeing the two of them and how much Lucas had changed.
Tomas and Alice I just dont know. There were times I wanted to just slap Alice to wake up over Tomas and get a backbone, where as with Tomas I just wanted to slap him anyways.
It was just hard to read for me and I just didn't really connect to it like I did with Lucas and mia
Have to say the book was hot. Tomas and Alice was a fun read. The angst was spot on. The romance was sizzling. The story line was not as good as Lucas and Mia, but close. You could tell the author was not from the US. Some words did not blend with the region the story was set in. But it didn't detract too much. Looking forward to the next book. Way to go Ally Adams.
I enjoyed this book. The wording is a little different even though it is set in California. I recommend this book for readers under 25 as it is a new adult romance.
